I remember when my neighbor went to Poland in 1977 for a International contractor work as a welder in a ship in Poland. It was under Russia then, he said that there was a line, almost more than 1 thousand people, the butcher is selling one whole cow meat, thats how bad Poland is under Russia rule
In Ukraine, my parents had to stand in huge lines for hours to buy milk. Probably, all the efforts of the USSR went to the creation of tanks and bombs, and not food or clothing. Although, Moscow has always been well supplied with food. Therefore, food tourism was developed in the USSR. People traveled to Moscow or St. Petersburg to buy sausage, smoked fish and other scarce products. Sending food in parcels through the mail was commonplace.
Poland was not under Russia in 1977 lol. Poland was never a part of Soviet Union . It was in Russian sphere of influence and yea people waited in gueues but everyone had a job, everyone had a flat. This is why most polish parents give a flat or a land to a child because they were able to build a house or have 2-3 flats in their lifetime and save money. Now in capitalism all those people live of parents from communism money and take mortgage if they want to have 1 flat.
@@olivka7560 My grandmother had 3 children and stood in line for an apartment for decades (it was impossible to buy an apartment on your own in the USSR). Sometimes her turn was pushed back, as the big shot from the party needed to urgently be given an apartment. As a result, she received an apartment in her old age, a few years before her death. I don't know how it was possible to get 2-3 apartments in the USSR. Perhaps it was necessary to have an appropriate position. And what kind of accumulated money are you talking about if: 1. In the USSR there was nothing to spend this money due to a lack of goods. 2. This money burned down in the inflation and crisis of the 90s. Many savings were simply reset to zero after the collapse of the USSR. And yes, Poland was not part of the USSR. It was one of the countries with limited sovereignty that the USSR occupied after the war and where he installed a government loyal to himself. Life there was a little easier than in the USSR, but also very poor. If the country wanted to get out of the influence of the USSR, troops were sent there to suppress it.
We in the EU must do _all_ we can to help Moldova to solve the Transnistria issue. Finding a solutaion is alpha and omega because that conflict needs to be solved before any possibility of membership of the EU (and possibly NATO), which many of us in the EU would really like to see. Moldova does not deserve to be under the foot of Moscow. Moldova with its rich culture is a European nation that deserve a place as an equal partner among the rest of us, sharing and exchanring similarities and differences.
I was in Moldova four years ago, including Transnistria. I only met people I would never wish any harm on. Hopefully, they'll be our brothers and sisters in the EU soon, they have long way to go though.
Ukraine is logically prioritizing its own territory, but no doubt that if everything goes well, they will also take care of those ruSSian "peace keepers".
Transnistria is internationally recognized as part of Moldova. The EU probably wouldn't look too kindly on Ukraine invading it. And neither would likely Moldova because that would for certain bring the war to their country. The Russian force there is relatively small and couldn't be supplied by Russia so it's probably best for Ukraine just leave it be and avoid any hasttle.
Moldovans don't have to worry about Ukraine losing the war. What I want to know is why don't the Moldovans take advantage of the current situation and retake Transnistria? I know they don't have the best military in the world, but I'm sure even they can handle the 2,000 or so Russian occupiers there, who, I remind you, are completely cut off from reinforcement and resupply.
yes that's why i always keep saying its the right time to take back Transnistria , Putin don't have enough missiles to fire , Ukraine can backstab Transnistria if the attack is in the frontline. Taking back Transnistria is the best option for MOLDOVA don't wait the time when the war is over in Ukraine now its your best shot. It is not correct that one needs to take that boat to Transnistria, I went in via Odessa in a train and out via minibus to chisinau in 2019. Also parts of Transnistria like the second largest town Bender is on the same side as Moldova. This could easily have been double-checked when creating this short clip.
Any nice RuZZians around or were you also involved with the rotten mafia version?
Bender actually should have been under joint control, but it seems like constitutional power is loosened on Bender.
Also, Cocieri is not part of the separatist movement AFAIK, it is one of the few villages with mostly Romanian population on the left bank. But separatist have put illegal checkpoints here and there, but with the boat you go freely, avoiding illegal checkpoints, irc.

I remember when my neighbor went to Poland in 1977 for a International contractor work as a welder in a ship in Poland.
It was under Russia then, he said that there was a line, almost more than 1 thousand people, the butcher is selling one whole cow
meat, thats how bad Poland is under Russia rule
@@olivka7560 the gueues was late 80s, this people are bullshiting.😂😂😂
@@olivka7560 Everyone had a job with small penny and flats being given with credits. I know how it was with former Yugoslavia.
The best decision for Moldova's existence would be to once again become part of Romania.
Best decision would be to evade war, but it seems like west gives no such option to Moldova
no. for the moment, the best decision is EU and NATO, as separate country. 🇷🇴❤️🇲🇩 In time, we might unite the country and be whole.

Ukraine should stay out of Moldova unless invited.
No. That’s wrong too and it would make Ukraine no better than Russia.
If Moldovans want Ukrainian forces or support they should they can ask.
