David was leveling the idea of alpine climbing completly new, and were dreaming to reach the "stars" as summit ...
I hope he is well arrived right there! In deep memorial in each step of everyone of us climber, who love what we are doing, he will be with us... David, no one will ever be able to replace you!
David, you'll be deeply missed, your inspiration will continue living within us...!!! now #ClimbInPeace...
From the most elegant sport climber to one of the elite mountaineers. You rock, David!
His videos make my blood freeze to minus 40.... easyly. I could watch this stuff all day long, especially in that kind of quality.
Such a terrible loss - such an astonishing talent. Not only talent, but a gracious and expansive spirit.
We are all the poorer for his passing.
David Lamas smile conquers the terrifying climb :)
I know right! He's quite handsome
David lama has always conquered the unconquered mountains across the globe. That's really impressive to watch. Waiting for the full version if filmed the entire length of the summit. Well done..
In our times with many young athletes focusing on indoor climbing it's refreshing to see this adventurous difficult mountaineering projects like these David Lama does. Amazing pictures of a mighty landscape accompany the great effort of the protagonists. Congrats you both / the whole team on your great successful endeavor.
RIP
Love to anyone close to David
David, you've become my favorite climber on the planet. Amazing!
Rest in peace David. The world is gone miss you!
*OH MY GOD, RIP DAVID. I CANT BELIEVE THIS NEWS*
*Ever since Ueli died, David has become my favorite climber. A legend in the making this one.*
You must be kidding, Ueli was a king of techniques and one of a kind powerhouse... this guy stands nowhere near.
S C but really, I don’t think you could show me another climber especially in the alpine realm that could hold be considered on his same level, although I’ve heard some people say they think Dani is
@@nudetaynehatwobble look, there are many great alpinists out there, really really many... i don't think that in this generation you could put someone other than Steck to be on par with Messner, Bukreev, Moro... different kind of perception of alpinism, different approach to doing something for alpinism to develop in their lifespans... i see many strong young ambitious climbers every season all the way up from namche bazaar and surely at chamonix but - private ambitions is not enough to _great_ ;-)
S C looks like I should just stop having favorite climbers 😕
@@nudetaynehatwobble from what looney-mountain does that look like this?!)) we just have opinion-exchange as we would on sorts of wine grapes... thou one of us (no finger pointing) prefers school-level tongue-trickery to actualy argumenting his choice of 'favorites' )))
SO SAD! CANT BELIEVE IT . RIP
David lama death is still taking my breath away mixed with my tears.
Congrats on the first ascent. Keep up the good work David.
WE MISS U DAVID GODSPEED BROTHER
Für mich ist das Wahnsinn, diese Wand raufzuklettern. Aber alle Achtung, ihr habt es geschafft !

Rest in peace david... you will always be remembered as a hero in alpinism... you set a benchmark in alpinism.. #salutedavidlama

mzlphoto 😔
.. :(
David please be okay!!! 😭😭
Are you doing a documentary of you Lunag Ri climb? Like you did with Conrad
Descansen en paz!....
2:18 you can really see how cold the guy is
Shiveringgg
yup. guess we all been there, just looking at him made me cold again
Yeah, waiting for the lead climber to say "you can climb!" is always the coldest part of the climb lol
RIP Angel Face!
HEAVEN IS NEW HOME
Come back
Interesting is that David Lama could climb all pitches with Quarks while his partner uses more agressive Nomic Ice tools🤔
That shows his level of experience and mastering the alpine climbing technique. Also he was during this video much more relaxed than his climbing partner. Such a talent and ambition he had. So sad that he passed away.
RIP...((((
Come back to Nepal
Pranav Sharma 😔
David 😭😭😭😭 why
👍😊
is there a version without the music?
Lol why?
@@purely-planted does add anything. I'd rather hear the sounds of the expedition.
@@gunsofaugust1971 I get your point! Maybe it's his fav band's music.
David, do you need an intern ?😊
Please include me in your list as well.😉😊

whose topic is that
I still miss David. I thought he was the next Conrad Anker. So tragic he’s gone.
Dude, I really hope you get back to sport climbing, if you had stayed nobody would've been talking about Adam Ondra vs Alex Megos right now. Take care! 💪
Adam ondra and Alex megos are best competition climbers hands down! But David had always dreamt and wanted to climb outdoors so he focused specifically on alpine climbing! And I think he has accomplished alot in alpinism than competition climbing.
