    Joel and Maria! Beautiful and elegant dancing! A lot of what passes for dancing lately is just keeping time, literally walking around each other and turning incessantly or soloing with broadway style moves. You guys are still keeping it real!

    I m confused with footwork... as we were teached to turn follower on 567 not on 123..... and 1 is suppose to be stepped frwd i guess . Please help

      This is NY style, or "Salsa on 2". It sounds like you dance "Salsa on 1". The difference is in the basic step. If you mute the video, you'll see that the turns initiate on the same footwork as S-on-1, they're just breaking forward and backward on different counts in the music. You can still use this turn pattern.

      turn the sound off and watch the footwork, you will be able to convert it to on 1 easily that way
