This Countryman still has it's 1st GEN interior layout & design and features. The new 2 door and 4 door 2014/15 Hardtop has the new features, layout and design which the next GEN Countryman will get too. Speedo no longer in the center.

I'm thinking about asking for this as my first car! Great review! I was wondering if it's good on gas? And if it has terrible blind spots? I mean, it seems like it has good visibility but then again, I wouldn't know. Also, does having the speedometer right in the middle feel awkward? Is it easy to keep watch of your speed with it off to the side rather than directly in front of you?
Gee Amores Hey, it's a really fun car to drive! you'll love it! The blind spots are there, but not huge. The speedometer is in the center but it's really big so you'll have no issues seeing your speed. I believe the newer models have gone away from the center speedometer.
I'd suggest you go to the dealer and test drive a it if possible before you get one. I'm excited for you!! let me know what you wind up getting :)
Let me just say... My mini can go miles without stopping to pump. I've gone to Santa Barbra and back(I'm from Whittier,CA), still had enough gas to go to work for half the week. That, my friend, is a lot of miles

.... too cluttered design .... nothing retro ... up-holstery is very ugly circled designed ... people think that because it is a mini ... everything is cool ... I think it is too pooluted with gadgets in the interior ...
