I am thinking about doing a market garden to sell at farmers markets. But when researching I found I needed 6 or 7 certs and licenses. What I found aggravating was the market wanted certification from orgs that when you research them are voluntary to comply to. Also something you left out was many will want you to have insurance. Getting these licenses and certs can be a huge task to just sell home grown veggies. I understand that I need to sell healthy and safe foods but some of the mandatory voluntary requirements stop people from making an effort to start such a business. I used to wonder why people couldn’t start a business and make money and live the American dream. I no longer have any doubts about why anymore.
I was under the impression that you could grow vegetables and sell them from your home without any license or permit as long as you're not slicing them or doing anything to them. If there's no production process it's just straight sales of vegetables or fruits that you grow on your land you don't need a license please correct me if I'm wrong. But this is not selling in a market this is selling from your home.
Every state has cottage food laws and some states selling even whole fruit or vegies "may" require a permit and or license to sell legally each city and county can also dictated in some cases where, how much and if you can sell its always best to check because there are cases where fines "other" legal issues can be levied.
I forgot how litigius and punitive this country has become, especially when trying to make a few dollars to get ahead. This was a really decent video with some very good information. Thank you for sharing. I forget if this was mentioned in the video but here's a couple of ideas on places to find additional information. State Department of Agriculture: Contact your state's Department of Agriculture or Department of Health for information on food safety regulations and permits. Local Business License Office: Your city or county might have a business license office that can provide information on local regulations for home-based businesses and food vending. Zoning Code: Familiarize yourself with your area's zoning code to ensure your front yard stand complies with rules for residential property use.

Could you do a video on the pros and cons of having a business partner in a home food business? Legalities, contracts, etc.
