Unprepared rides make funny stories. Been there, done that 🙈 I went for a weeks motorcycle trip over mountain passes in western Norway with only summer gear in May. My battery died on one of those passes. It was 5°C and pouring rain. Luckily I managed to flag down a guy to call a tow truck to pick me up, because there was no cell service. And luckily they had a replacement battery that fit (it was Sunday, and all other stores were closed). It usually works out, and now we can all laugh about it 😂

Wow...Three of my favorite content creators existing in the same time and place. Very cool. I'm amazed at the number of folks who document their adventures with very good video. Having adventures is just plain fun. Seems like documenting an adventure is a whole lot of work. I'd never do it, but I'm so glad there are folks who do...and who seem to enjoy the documentation process as well as the process of polishing their work into beautiful and interesting videos.
Tires look aggressive enough. But I am used to riding in Minnesota, Germany, Austria, and Italy in the winter. The weather here in New England is pretty mellow. In the ten years I have lived here, I have yet to put my winter coat on nor wear any of my cold weather motorcycle gear. But I've been running 50-50 tires here in New England. The smart thing is what you all did. Rode together (I'm always (sadly) solo) and Magpie is always wearing a satellite SOS capable device (which I will when I can afford one).
Amazing job, as always. That was a nailbiter ride. What a cool little place that time forgot. I could really feel the excitement when the ride was over.
That was a bit of a wild adventure you two were on. Certainly one that should stick in your memory; of good times. Though that will come later I think. Just glad you’re both ok when you put the bikes down. Just a testament to the fact you really can do more than you think you can. Thanks for sharing.
Remember Doodle, it's not an adventure until something goes wrong! This was a ton of fun, I'm sure she'll be glad she did it looking back. Experiences are the most important thing.

Doodle is SO FUNNY! When she got back it was like a spiritual experience for her. Ha ha. And this scenario is so typical, to me at least. Having someone who is a true adventurer and someone who isn't. And I relate a lot, because I have been in the boots of both types of people. I have been trying to keep up with the grinning adventurers who are laughing while I was completely freaked out and NOT having fun. And, as a rider, I've been in the place of ... well, not taking chances, but of being confident of what I was doing, but needing to be patient with the newbie or freaked out person. Of course, personally, I would have rented a 450 or 250 dirt bike for that trip. If nothing else, they're just so much easier to pick up. Thanks for the entertaining video. Doodle just made it that much more entertaining.

My age is 64 i have been riding 2 wheels since the age of 15, but now trying out 3 wheels CAN AM Spyder and back enjoying it . Thankyou .
Yup,you both will remember this fondly. Sometimes when you need to decide whether to forge ahead, or maybe take the easy way out, ask yourself, "would I be disappointed if i did NOT do this?" That's what got my sons to achieve their Eagle Scout rank, and got me through some challenges. Of course, depending on the challenge, you still need to temper it with a good dose of safety. I enjoyed seeing you both getting out to Do The Thing!
Amazing ride. Even if sometimes we don't enjoy every part of an adventure, looking back when we are older, we tend to appreciate all of our efforts. Great job you two!

Hey Amanda. Have you ever considered leading tours? There could be routes that are more technical and some that are more for street bikes.
