- Daniel Bruhl is out promoting his new limited series for TNT, The Alienist, and stopped by the Paste Studio for a chat. Of course, there was plenty of talk about his role playing a psychologist during The Gilded Age, but we also dive into topics like tapas bars, chicken and waffles, puffed sleeves, and Berlin.
Totally worth the watch, or plug in the headphones and just listen.

I've watched this guy get better and better with each role he plays. Great actor and really interesting man.
This guy would make an amazing narrator of audiobooks, but more so I'd love to hear him have a podcast where he just speaks. His voice is so soothing

Nice to see Daniel Brühl looking more confident, I remember him on Spanish TV back in the mid 2000s and he always acted kinda shy.

Just love Daniel Brühl! Such a talented actor iv seen so many of his films even 4 of 5 German ones with English subtitles and I really enjoyed them. He's so cute yet hot at the same time! Oh and The Alienist is epic! ❤👌

He speaks 6
At least 5: German, Spanish, Catalan, French and English. In the episode, he speaks German. The character he portraits, Dr. Kreizler, came from Germany, at least according to the book...
He speaks Spanish (from mom), Portuguese (from dad), German (where he grew up), French and English (studied). He also understands Catalan (he was born in Barcelona) but he's not fluent. He probably doesn't speak Hungarian but studied the sentences, he's done full movies in Catalan doing that.

Wow, did I get that wrong. Bruhl is Spanish and German, Waltz is Austrian and German, and Fassbender is Irish and German. Regardless, they're all great actors and sizzling hot.

does he have false teeth? he sounds weird....
He was born in Spain and grew up in Germany, thus he grew up with a Spanish-speaking mother and a German father. This, coupled with the fact that he is fluent in 5 languages, including English, means his accent can be a little hard to pinpoint.
His accent is incredibly unique due to his childhood and his ability to speak so many different languages. Truly a completely unique accent, which makes him all the more attractive.
He had false teeth in the movie Rush, but not in real life lol.
He is German and has a German accent
G Monstah He has a German accent. Most children growing up bilingual tend to have no accent in either native language but as German was his main language as he grew up in Cologne, Germany, he would naturally have a German accent when speaking English (he learned English later and not from early on).
