Thank you Karlie, I can’t wait to receive my Brother Persona 100 at the end of this month🙂 adding it to join my PE800. I will be watching you as I set it up.
Karlie your tutorial is very informative so happy that I found you I do have the Persona but do not know how to use it .I am interested in purchasing accessories
Thank you for the tutorial! I have a PE800 and would love an upgrade. Embroidering shirts can be tedious. Looking forward to seeing your machine in action!
I just unboxed mine yesterday!! It's so much fun! The best thing ever! Jump stitches cut! I had a Brother PE535 and it would not, so I feel like I'm in the bog league now. LOL Thanks Karlie!
I will be picking my Persona up Saturday and I am very excited! This video will be so helpful to me when I get it home!! Love your channel. Loved watching your videos as entertainment but now I will be enjoying them as education for a newbie. Keep them coming!
Make sure that the machine is threaded correctly and that the thread is passing through all the spots correctly. Then check your bobbin is loaded correctly and that you have about a 2 inch tail poking out of the bobbin case. Here is machine oil you can get amzn.to/37s24Lv
Hi Karlie....I am so excited for you. Year 2020, I purchased a Luminaire XP2 that almost most $20k. Now, I would to get a multi-needle embroidery machine, but it's too expensive. I hardly use my Luminaire XP2, but I do like to have a embroidery machine like your Persona, but not really a multi-needle. I look at your Persona and now it's so affordable. It's only $3,999.00 at any Brother dealer. Oh, anyway the reason to see how you assemble your Persona. By the way, FYI. You should not use that airosole spray because it can damage your machine. It will leave moisture inside your machine. They suggested to use a light small brush. I hope I was able to help you.
I'm getting mine tomorrow. Thanks so much for showing the unboxing. So I.know what to expect.. sometimes you want the same color in the bobbin as the the top.
Congrats on your new machine! The only time I match my bobbin and top thread is when I am doing an in the hoop project and I want the back side to look nice and finished
Thank you so much for such a awesome video. I’ve had my machine for over a year and I never got the instructions you gave thank you. Can’t wait for your tutorials. I’m sure I’ll learn so much. I’ve search utube for ever trying to find out how to learn things about my machine and until you I haven’t found any that made me comfortable enough to do much. I’m so excited about learning more
Thanks, you were a God-sent, I purchased my machine through Amazon. But I had no clue and was nervous about using it from my flat PE 770 machine. I don't have the stand, do you have a discount code for that?
Just got mine persona yesterday . It’s new to me but it is used what type of thread should I get? Stabilizers what size or thickness ? TIA also loved your video thank you 🙏 very informative
Thank you your videos they have being so helpful. I got my Vr that’s what it’s called in the UK last Tuesday and think it’s amazing and I know it will be so much easier to embroider.
WOW!!!! Another Beauty. I just watched you unpack the EM1010. You are one lucky lady. Congrats on your 2 new machines. One day maybe I will be able to get one of those beauties
So excited for you Karlie, congratulations on getting your new machine!!! I too LOVE pre-wound bobbins, but do occasionally wind my own when I want the color to match on the backside, such as when doing freestanding lace.
Congrats on your Persona. I love my Brother and Baby lock machines. Also note that the method you used to change thread color is the same way I change threads on my sergers. 😁
Congratulations, Karlie. I have the Baby Lock Alliance (same machine) and I use the heck out of it! The free arm makes embroidery life so much easier. Enjoy! I'm looking forward to lots of videos with your new embroidery companion. :) Pam
Hello Karlie, I was able to purchased the PRS100 with your link 👍🏼😍 its says out of stock should receive by April 19 I'm sooooo excited also to be able to join the Facebook group on the persona again thank you for inspiring me
HI Karlie. I have just watched a couple of your embroidery videos and enjoyed then. I just purchased a Janome 9850 sewing/embroidery but haven't done much on it. Look forward to more of your videos. I do not do Facebook. Thanks, Linda
Thank you so much for sharing this video! I have a Dreamweaver XE for almost 8 years and now I want to buy a new machine. I was hoping for a multi needle, but they are more expensive. I think the Persona would be a great option.
Thank you for watching! I love my Persona. It really is a great option if you can't get a multi needle. If you have any questions about it feel free to email me at karliebelleblog@gmail.com or message me on Facebook facebook.com/karliebelleblog. I have a coupon code to save you 10% off the machine and offer free virtual one on one training for people that purchase the machine through my affiliate link :)
I purchased this a month ago thru Brother and I am waiting to receive it in late September. Thanks for the wonderful video as I will refer to it once I receive my machine. I was wondering where did u get your stand?
Thanks Bernadette! In the UK the Brother VR is the same as the Persona. I don't think Sewing Machines Plus will ship to the UK, but you can check out your local suppliers to see what kind of deals they have 😄
I loved your unboxing. I don't care how many needles I have, I will always love my single needle. Did you put your stand together yourself? That alone took me 2 days, but I have the older stand, not the newer one like yours.
Hi, I have two Brother embroidery machines and want to upgrade to the PRS. I have purchased 100's of PES designs and wanted to know would I be able to use them with this machine. Thank you showing us around this little beauty.
Hi Karlie, I was threading my Persona for the second time since I bought it following the manuel as well your video and notice that there a threading area that u didn't show right before hitting the automatic threader according the manuel. It's right above the needle. It's a small loop like on the flatbed machines right before threading the needle that the thread should go thru according to the manuel. Please correct if I'm wrong! Thanks!
Karie. I enjoy your videos. I recently purchased a Brother 680W. With the hat hoop. Can I use designs that are in my machine on hats? I watched something that said the designs need to e digitized if used on,a hat. If I order a design to download how do I know it is a digitized design? Thanks for answering my question.
I ordered my from Sewing Machines Plus. Please send me an email hello@karliebelle.com and I can give you all of the details. If you order through me I will give you free training and access to my exclusive Persona Owners Facebook group 😁
Hi! I just came across your video and I see it's two years old. So, I'm wondering if you are still happy with this single needle machine, or do you wish you had gotten a multi-needle instead? Right now I have the Dream Machine 2, but I've been looking at these machines for the free arm capability. I keep going back and forth between the 6 needle and this single needle. Will you please share your thoughts now that you've worked with it a while? (If you've already made a video that addresses my question, please direct me to it. Your time and thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hi, Does this brother persona includes hat hoops?and can you import your own design on it?and if yes can you make a video on how you make your own design and import it to your machine.Thank you so much 🙏😊
Hi, no it does not include the hat hoops, that is a separate purchase. Yes all Brother machines will allow you to import your own designs using a USB stick. Just save a PES embroidery file to the USB then plug into the machine and click the USB icon on the screen to see the designs on the drive and choose the one you want to stitch out :)
Both are great. It just depends on your budget. Persona is less expensive since it is still a single needle. Ricoma is a bit more but get 10 needles and bigger hoop size.
Thank you Marisol! No for embroidery you will want to used 40wt colored thread for your top thread and use 90wt bobbin thread. Since the bobbin thread will only be seen underneath the design I always use white bobbin thread. Here are the prewound bobbins I use for my Persona
Hello, trying to decide over the 6 needle or the Persona. Do you have any regrets in not buying the brother 6 needles. I’m mainly using the machine for self and family use.
I do not regret buying my Persona however one major plus of having the 6 needle is that you get a bigger hoop. 8x8 vs 8x12 allows much more flexibility especially with in the hoop bags. Call my friend Jean at Sewing Machines Plus and she will help you figure out which one is best for you. Her direct number is 800-401-8152 Ext: 139 and her email is jean@sewingmachinesplus.com Please tell her Karlie Belle referred you 😊
I do want to get the PES-100 but found that a Janome 4 needle cost the price. If you had been aware of this would have gone with the Janome 4 needle. I just cannot decide. thanks.
Hi Elle. Yes I also looked at the Janome MB4 before purchasing my Brother PRS100. I decided to get the PRS100 because 1) I really wanted to do structured hats using a cap driver. Janome does not offer this option. 2) I already own other Brother machines and really like their interface. It is very user friendly and I am comfortable with using them. 3) Most designs I do use more than 4 different colors. So having only a 4 needle machine doesn't really save me much time with changing thread colors. I would still need to stop in the middle of a project and rethread the machine. I hope this helps you and please let me know if you have any other questions. You can email me at hello@karliebelle.com
Yes thank you I realized that after I posted the video!! I have been showing that step when I do my virtual trainings with those that purchase from me so hopefully thats helps them.
Yes I think the Persona is worth it when compared to the Brother 6 needle which is more than double the cost. However, now I have a Ricoma 10 needle and that one is a little more cost effective.
So sorry you are having trouble. Here are some things I always look at when my I have lots of thread breaks. 1. Check every point along the thread path to make sure the thread is not getting hung up somewhere. Also make sure it is feeding off of the spool properly. Sometimes it gets caught on the bottom of the spool. 2. Could it be the thread itself? It's weird but some machines don't like certain brands of thread. Try changing it to a different color first, then to an entirely different brand and see how it does. 3. Change the needle. There may be a burr on your needle causing your thread to shred and break. 4. Last resort, is your tension too tight? Check the back of your embroidery and look to see how visible your bobbin thread is. You should see a satin stitch separated into 3 columns, you top thread color, your bobbin thread, then top thread color again and they should all be equal in size. If you are not seeing any or hardly any bobbin thread, turn your tension disc counter clockwise a couple of notches to loosen the top thread tension.
I have set up the machine just as you have yet my machine keeps stopping saying to check Bobbin and upper thread... everything seems right. Any idea what could be wrong?
I'm so sorry you are having trouble! Some things to check are: make sure you top thread is going though the sewing path correctly. I kept having trouble once on a project and it was because the thread had come out of one of the little metal brackets at the top. Also tell me about the material, stabilizer, and how you are hooping. One of those might be it.
@@KarlieBelle Thank you for responding. I took my machine to the shop and tge technician said it needed a adjustment. That kind of took me back because it was brand new. It seems to be a up hill learning curve. Im praying I can work threw some tension issues as well. I sure hope you make more videos for us😊 They are so helpful! Hello, trying to decide over the 6 needle or the Persona. Do you have any regrets in not buying the brother 6 needles. I’m mainly using the machine for self and family use.

I just purchased this machine with the Durkee EZ frames. But I keep getting an error message when trying to use the hoops? What am I doing wrong?
I do want to get the PES-100 but found that a Janome 4 needle cost the price. If you had been aware of this would have gone with the Janome 4 needle. I just cannot decide. thanks.
Hi Elle. Yes I also looked at the Janome MB4 before purchasing my Brother PRS100. I decided to get the PRS100 because 1) I really wanted to do structured hats using a cap driver. Just purchased my perona100 my thread continues to break any tips with this issue I've tried everything
What do you do with all the leftover empty bobins?
I just toss them. All thats lets on these pre-wound bobbins is a little tiny piece of plastic. It can not be re-used
I just got my machine and it is set up but seems really loud. Does your machine sound loud or should I put some kind of padding under it?
Mine doesn’t seem to be any louder that my other embroidery machine. But it does put out some vibrations because it’s so fast!!
No entiendo inglés,pero entendí todo,gracias
