I always loved this man's talents. The song, CROSS MY HEART recorded by Diana Ross is a big fave among his songs.

Hamish is so humble. I've just discovered him on RUclipss ....
He has a stage presence that is greater than many of his 'peers'.
And, frankly, he's the best LOOKING one of them all. Now I'm searching every corner of the web to learn more about him, watch his vids, and enjoy him, tremendously.
He seems to be a 'prince' of a human being, set aside his great talent. xoxo WOW!

I got one glimpse of Harnish on Paul's "I lost my little girl", and got fascinated by how COOL he is, how he has moves no one else does. Yep, I found him, finally. BIG CRUSH! ;) Really, SO GREAT. I could watch him 'forever'.

Great work man, thanks for the insight. I was with Mike McDonald the night Hamish came and sang on stage, Manchester, England and after the gig Mike snuck away to record at Hamish's house, off the record of course due to Mike being on a label.
Mike did this an awful lot, for many friends and on many albums and songs uncredited. He was a lot bigger influence on Chris Cross's first album for example, beyond the single he is credited on Ride Like The Wind. Mike was brought in to steer Chris towards rounding his early song writing out to something more accessible and yes, commercial which is important at the beginning, to gain traction. Mike had been there himself, his early recordings for producer Rick Jarrard at 19 years old have since surfaced and Mike has more or less disowned them as a naive mish-mash including Drivin' Wheel and Midnight Rider. The guys who helped Mike were of course Don Fagen and Walter Becker, Mike played keys and backing vocals on their1971 tour which took in Europe and for a couple of years contributed parts in the studio. Peg, probably the best known, with that multi-layered backing vocal, 'borrowed' and extended from Marvin Gaye. Don and Mike huge fans of Marvin. Donny Hathaway and Ray Charles - for all Don's jazz licks in the Dan, he is really an R&B funk guy at heart, has said as much himself.
Best wishes from England, great work once again.
