@@MasterJacks Yeah the High Beams I think are fine but it took a while for me to get the low beams to go in because I couldn't get it to match up with the groves but eventually I got it in. I was trying to avoid this happening but I guess I need to deal with it.
Any idea why my 2016 f150 would be throwing a code for the passenger side low beam after I converted to LED high and low beams? It’s only throwing a code for the passenger low beam the rest all check out perfectly. Lights are sealight brand. They have the resistors built in so I am not sure why it’s only throwing the code for the one bulb
@@MasterJacks I’m thinking it has to be a faulty resistor in the bulb. I went for a short drive just barely and the code disappeared. Got home shut off ignition, turned ignition back on and the code is back again
How difficult is it to remove the front fender liner to access the headlights? I have aftermarket lights and need to adjust the beam pattern and would to like save myself from removing the entire assembly just for that
I put LED in my 2015 and the passenger side low beam is on for a moment then wont stay on Ive switched bulbs out and tried new ones. Ive been told I need a Can Bus thing (resistor, diode, anti flicker module whatever) did you have to get one too. I also installed smoked headlights and went with the LED to offset how much light they would restrict with the regular filament bulbs. Any input is appreciated.
I did not install a module with my bulbs, but it sounds like it can help with a variety of problems. It's strange to me that in your case, it's only affecting a single bulb (not common to both sides). Sounds like high resistance in that circuit. It's working for a minute, then the resistance is causing heat and the computer is shutting it down. If your connections look good (no corrosion or poor contact) and a standard bulb works fine in that socket, a module might help in your case. I haven't been down that road yet, so I don't have a recommendation on what to buy. Hope you work it out. I'm interested in learning what you find. I just put a set of Techmax LEDs in my 2016 f150 and it looks great straight ahead but the light beam gets choppy and has some lines in the pattern on the sides...idk if it's due to the brand of light or due to the reflector housing....do you have this issue?
Concerned about that top boot, you no longer have a water proof/mud proof seal! How do those led bulbs function with the day time running module ? Any issues there.
Good questions. I'm not too worried about the boot. It prevents grime from getting into the overall housing, but the bulb itself seals the lense assembly. The bulbs do turn on and off normally with the ambient light sensor. I was initially concerned about the contact the heat sink was making with the housing and boot, worrying that it might melt something, but the manufacturer ensured me the sink does a good job of keeping things from getting that hot. So far, that's held true. No sign of excess temperature damage. I'm hoping they do well in the long run because I really enjoy the look. Thanks for the comment!
@@dylansmith1261 I ended doing the same. People flashed me even though it was barely dark enough for the lights to come on. Once in a while someone will still flash if they are coming up a hill and I'm about to go down, but can't do anything about that.
You could have trimmed off some of the heat sink to get a better fit, That aluminum cuts pretty easy. Nice video.. I personally cant stand LED head lights, i find them way to blinding.
I need to see how they look head on driving down the road. That drives me crazy too. If it's got a mean glare, aiming can be a big help. Verdict is still out, initially impressed. Haven't driven it enough to see if everyone on the road hates me yet.
Tell you what. I converted my 2016 over to led and all I get at night is a bunch of people flashing there high beams on even when they see me dim them from high to low. Act like there being blinded lol
This is one of the best video styles I've seen. Very clear, easy to understand with no wasted motion, time, or dialogue! Great job!
you can purchase deeper dust covers that will clear the wiring and heat sink
one of the best videos so far
Thanks for getting to the point! Great video!!
Great work. Clear explanation. Thank you.
after 2 year review? How’d boots hold up to the heat?
Good video, well done 👍
Good job 👍
Thanks.I know not to get that type of led bulb.
Did you get any dash warning lights (ie) bulb out lamp on the dash?
No warning lights. Everything indicates factory normal.
Well I did the install last night, and now I have condensation in my driver side headlight. Could it be because it didn’t seal right?
I'd pull the bulb out and dry out the housing with an air gun. Then reinstall the bulb and make sure it seats flush.

Same happened to me, need to find a way to seal better
Great video. Looking to do the same for my truck. How has it held up, would you still recommend them or something else?
They've been trouble-free for me. Still really like them.

I'm not sure . You could try swapping it over to the left side to see if it follows the bulb. If so, you might have to replace that bulb.

Do I have to remove the tire to do this?
No, it has good access if you turn the wheel

They've been doing good. Still on the same bulbs.
Can you provide the three links to the bulbs you purchased? I'm having difficulty finding fog lights.

Do you get flashed often or at all since you've had the lows installed?
Surprisingly not. I thought I would have to adjust the aim, but so far so good.
Glad to hear that. Been thinking about switching to LED from HID and wasn't sure if glare would be an issue.
Caleb Dean I had to adjust the aim on my 2015 just a little bit because I kept getting people flash me with their high beams.
