The Johnny Bravo episode did Bio-dome better than the actual movie did Bio-dome. Fixed the plot holes, the main character who screws over everyone is SUPPOSED to be an idiot (who gets beaten up in the end), and it's all actually funny. It's like the cartoonists wanted to see if they could do a better job in a children's cartoon about a sex crazed idiot.
Theres much more you can do with animation. So Maybe that's why its better.
That's what I was thinking of. I never actually knew that the episode was based on a Movie.

My god the voices alone in the movie are enough to drive someone insane! How the critic was able to get through it is beyond me!
He's literally Jesus. He remembers all movie sins for us, so we don't have to.
If he can stand the sound of his own voice, I'm sure he can stand theirs.
Even the one NON-annoying Paulie Shore performance (His uncredited voice acting as Bobby from A Goofy Movie) had that one annoying line: "Cheddar! Aaawooo!!! Cheddar whizzy!"

We're all a little bit insane, but all it takes is one bad day to go full-Joker.
Fun fact: there actually was an experiment where a "bio-dome" was built in the desert. It ended with the participants hating each other and the trees collapsing under their own weight. This happened because they didn't grow any strong core wood due to there being no wind that they had to brace against.
Well, experiments are for collecting data, and they've learned something from it at least.
It really is co-named the "Really Stupid Experiment", huh?
Paulie Shore was mildly amusing on Encino Man because he was a side character; his annoyances were utilized sparingly and he ALMOST had charm to him. The problem with BioDome is that he's just not a good leading man, and forcing his schtick to carry a whole film is a terrible idea. After 3 or 4 films of this, Shore remains a product of his time.
To that extent, his cameo in Class Act with Kid n Play actually was amusing as THE WEEE SAAAL!

This would've been an infinitely better flick if it had been a sci-fi psychological horror film. Five people go into space for a year only to find that- somehow- Pauly Shore and Stephen Baldwin are on the space station with them, not only eating their food and breathing their oxygen but apparently openly trying to sabotage their supplies and fragile ecosystem. You can't get them out, and it would land you in jail back on earth if you killed them- and then you wake up and Pauly Shore is in bed with you. Pauly Shore *never stops laughing*. Pauly Shore cannot be killed, no matter what you try. Pauly Shore is infinite & endless & REALLY FUCKING ANNOYING.

Hey I know you guys probably save these in full for full posterity, however the intro at the beginning is wrong. A site actually contacted Alex Winter and he said that no one involved with Bill and Ted worked on Biodome, so Biodome being a cancelled Bill and Ted story is actually a urban legend.

@@MsGigglesluv thing is if Bill & Ted were involved in this movie it would make the whole concept of the bio dome more interesting. I’ve had my own thoughts about how this could have worked as a Bill & Ted sequel and my idea was the bio dome is a major factor in creating the utopian future so disciples of DeNomolos go back in time in an attempt to sabotage it by getting rid of a bunch of the scientists who were meant to be part of the experiment and replacing them with celebrities under the guise of helping the company behind it promote it better, Bill & Ted find out so they also sign up to be part of the experiment hoping to keep the bio dome experiment on track but whilst they’re inside trying to save the future by keeping the bio dome safe the villains on the outside are manipulating the masses to hate Bill & Ted by making them look like ego driven assholes who chose to go into the bio dome to further their careers and become more famous

I came to this review after Tamara mentioned it in the "Norm of the North" review. I saw the intro where the scientists were setting up and said to myself, "How badly could this go?" Then I saw the 2 main characters and immediately said, "Oh no..." Also, didn't an episode of "Johnny Bravo" do this same thing...better?

(Back then Sydney Morning Herald had a TV Guide - every time an Adam Sandler movie was on reviewer wouldnt review the movie, just state , in comedic terms, how much he hates sandler & how useless he is). Bio-Dome was never a scrapped Bill and Ted sequel, thank god. I can't really see this as a concept for a Bill and Ted film and I die a little every time I hear that hoax.
I could see it if you stretched it to work. Bill & Ted invest in a bio dome in the 90’s because they believe the research it will acquire will help the world and create the utopian future society, but a member of DeNomolos’s group finds a way to mess it up by giving the bio dome an obnoxious corporate sponsor that calls all the shots and makes a bunch of clueless celebrities be part of the team that go into the bio dome instead of scientists to get publicity, so Bill & Ted sign up to be part of the team so they can keep the celebrities in check and make the bio dome’s results be positive and beneficial whilst also trying to protect their image because the eco friendly people who would’ve supported them for just investing now think they’re going into the dome as a publicity stunt

Just went on metacritic and for some ungodly reason this has a 7.1 outta 10 rating by users. What the hell! I was barley able to sit through the clips in this review. At least the critics gave it a 1 outta 100 which is insane, but surprisingly understandable.
Doug needs a purple heart for getting through watching this movie. And unfortunately I did growing up with Pauley Shore movies and Doug said it best for the young crowd who doesn't know who Shore is; good.
Better you than me. I grew up in the early 2000s watching great movies and having amazing tv shows and cartoons.
I am perfectly fine not growing up in the 80s and 90s.
@@moxxiiscarlett7141there were plenty of great shows and movies from the 80s and 90s. Like Gargoyles, Batman the animated series, and great horror movies. Just actors like Pauly Shore is one that either you like or don't. Adam Sandler had some great movies himself but he's another actor either you like him or not. Some actors and actresses you can learn to enjoy if you watch certain movies.

Try and help me understand something. Stephen Baldwin is an actor who, for some reason, stared in a movie called Bio-Dome, alongside Pauly Shore and also stared in a movie called The Usual Suspects, alongside Kevin Spacey, which was a masterpiece. How the hell is this even possible??
It happens to even better actors like Michale Caine in Jaws the Revenge, Dustin Hoffman in Sphere, Halle Berry in Catwoman
Happens to the best of them. Do I even need to list how many bombs Sean Connery was in, especially the one he came out of retirement for.
Ironically enough according to IMDB Pauly Shore was considered for the role of McManus in The Usual Suspects. I kinda wonder how that would turn out if he toned down his whole valley boy persona for something serious. Maybe he could have been surprisingly good like how Tom Arnold was amazing in True Lies or it could have been one of the worst casting choices ever.

I swear when I was young I watched an episode of Johnny Bravo of him being in a bio dome and ruin everything before I ever saw this film and when I watched it I was really disappointed and frustrated. Johnny Bravo had higher laugh moments than this.

Not even autistic people would like this movie. I mean, I'm autistic, but can easily see how bad this movie is because it's basically just Pauly Shore and Stephen Baldwin embarrassing themselves for over an hour and a half.
