I had a buddy whose mouth tended to get him into trouble and often resulted in guys getting in his face. He'd be squared up with someone but disarm things by hilariously pushing a dude standing off to the side near him instead of the guy right in his face. I could see Bill running that whole program.

@@seanmramseynamaste6626 I fureakin hate the Celtics, can spell ecstatic, and reluctantly think this is their year. Moving Smart, G. Williams and R. WIlliams and snagging Jrue and Porzingis was brilliant. Jrue gives top tier defense and level-headed leadership and a sick backcourt with White. Porzingis adds the third scoring threat and stretches the floor. They've still got Horford's defensive genius and floor stretching in decreased minutes. They can even play a two towers. It ain't fair.
I have kept saying since Summer that Jrue was the most important piece. Smart led the Jays into idiotic iso hero ball, flopping and getting into it with the refs. Jrue will keep them on track. He's an excellent locker room guy and leader. Damn this makes me sick to my stomach.

As a Knicks fan I like our chances against Philly, its gonna be a fight no doubt but this Knicks team has something special about them
Especially if Embiid is hobbled. NY is disciplined enough defensively to mess with them like Miami just did and if it’s close in the fourth Brunson pulling up against Embiid’s drop is good enough offense
But my guess is Philly will let Embiid play free safety then put two on the ball against Brunson and make literally anyone else beat them. Although NY is still good about running Brunson off ball to get him shots anyway
Gonna be a good series to watch the adjustments on both sides

Brunson is the best player in this series. My Knicks are pure dawgs, they want it more. Brunson Hart and DiVincenzo own Philly, they must’ve forgot. They’ll win this series by any means necessary.

I mean OG didn’t play that year and we won the series when he did play, was always the least worrisome raptor in any sixers matchup. Brunson is really the guy that needs to be stopped and it’s over, Simmons of all people should know that a small guard led team that’s feisty in the regular season is often not a recipe for success in playoffs. He knows basketball but sometimes just comes up with real terrible takes. This is the healthiest Embiid has been for the playoffs maybe ever?
If everyone was healthy… Joel Embiid, Julius Randle, OG Anunoby, Mitchell Robinson, all year. The Knicks are still better than the Sixers. Anyway you slice it the Knicks are better. Bench, work rate, at the guard position and at the forward position.

Boston may have wanted Miami to prove they're better but NOTHING will erase how embarrassing 2023 was for Boston. Going down 3-0 with 2 games at home and losing to an 8 seed in the playoffs is a stain
They almost pulled off the comeback and then Tatum got hurt in game seven. Not really a stain when you consider that their third leading scorer was Marcus Smart and they had a first year head coach who got the job just a short time before the season started. Joe lost Ime’s best assistants and didn’t have time to bring in his own guys.

They were second in offense and third in defense that season! It shouldn’t have GOTTEN to game 7 so bringing up Tatum’s injury is just trying to make excuses. And Derrick White (who shot 49% from 3) was their third leading scorer and without a miracle bucket from him the Celtics don’t get to game 7. How is any of this NOT a stain? Make all the excuses you want but there’s no reason Miami should have won without counting it as a total choke job by Boston
@@nocturne311when u go down in a series 3-0 with home court advantage when they were like -500 to win the series that’s definitely a stain. Miami was an 8th seed that just ran out of gas but still won the series. Also Boston underperformed in every playoff series last year.

Bill Simmons should not be on sports media anymore. I used like him but every year, he gets worse as he gets older. He is too biased and does not deserve to speak his opinion publicly. I feel very sorry for his team members who need to stick to him for another few years.
Knicks have been garbage for decades, now they got the second seed in a season when all the teams had major injuries, and now their fans are walking around puffed up as though they're a dynasty. If Embiid doesn't get hurt, they are the second seed, not the Knicks. And let's be honest, all anyone in the East is doing is playing to see who gets to lose to the Celtics in the end.

I kind of agree on the play hard thing but that more applies to a team like OKC or Memphis two years ago.
Teams that play hard *and* are scrappy and tough can punch above their weight because they turn everything into a street fight. Philly is way better in a fair fight but NY doesn’t fight fair.
How does playing hard mean that you aren’t good? People who want to win play hard. They want it more. That makes no sense.

@@thatscool7877 Because in the regular season most teams play at like 80-85% of peak. If you play at 90-95% in the regular season then you don't have room to get better in the playoffs.
The simple act of playing really hard in the regular season, especially on defense, can make you look a lot better than you are because once everyone else is playing as hard as you, you don't look quite as good
