Old Tacoma's values are increasing because nobody wants to buy the new one.

  • @MPGunther1

Agree 100% I have a '21 Sport 4x2 that I put some extras on. MSRP was 38K and I got 2K off pre Covid. Put 5K of extras and I plan on keeping it for a long time

I own a 1999 Tacoma single cab 4wd that I bought new. It's never been used for anything other than the occasional home depot run and a few weekly errands. It's the base model 2.7L in 056 natural white with no power options. It's never been driven off road or in the rain and always garaged. A true time capsule that gets a crazy amount of attention whenever I take it out.

I have a 2023 Tacoma SR5 4x4 that I paid $37 for last year (no dealer add-ons). It has gone up in value, not down. Even the trade-in value is basically what I paid for it.

  • @EDMATIK

THE ONLY TACOMA I WILL BUY IS THE NATURALLY ASPIRATED V6 PERIOD!!!

  • @Dave23-24

Paid $34,500 out the door for a 2023 Tacoma SR5 bought in October 2023. It is a rear wheel drive. Glad I bought a 2023!

  • @appleztooranges

I have a 2007 Tundra plain Jane with 124,000 miles. It is 17 years old. Still runs great! I gave $16,000 for it 5 years ago.

I have a low mileage 2019 TRD Pro. Overpaid $53k but absolutely love my truck.

  • @gunslinger2261

I’d definitely get an old Tacoma with the V6

About a month ago I got a pretty good deal on a '22 TRD Sport double cab 4x2 fully loaded with the premium and technology packages, 25k miles, first owner had it serviced religiously every 5k miles, for $36,800, and a lifetime powertrain warranty was included in the price! Put 10k down and financed the rest. Wanted to get a low mileage used one since I foolishly didn't buy a new one when I had the chance and I'm not interested in the 4th Gen. Already had the AWE true dual exhaust installed(which sounds amazing btw with no drone) and just had the OTT tune done 2 days ago which absolutely transforms the way the truck drives and I highly recommend it to anyone on the fence about doing it, worth every penny! I also added a drop in AFE high flow dry air filter, I blacked out the Taco and V6 badges as well as the Tacoma stamped on the tailgate. I'm also installing full LED taillights with a black housing and smoked lens and Tri-LED headlights with a black housing because I can't stand the chrome on the stock lights. Also had it ceramic coated. Love this truck more every day and I'm never getting rid of it!

Bought a 2023 TRD Off Road Dual Cab 6-Speed Manual that was fully loaded, just over a week ago. Mileage was a little over 17,000 miles. Drove off the lot at $46,500 and financed $36,500.

  • @Doc1855

Historically a Turbo engine simply doesn’t last as long as a Naturally Aspirated (NA) engine.

  • @2wind2000

Im hanging on to my '19 SR5 w/3.5l with 30k miles on it! Love the juice it has with the V6 and its proven bulletproof! The newer model Tacomas are SO overpriced, I dont even entertain the thought of trading up to one. I'll wait a couple years and wait for this builds reputation to be built. Of course the price will have to stabilize as well.

  • @brianrichard1768

Agreed. I had choice and went 22 sport because I knew it was the last of it's kind and I knew it would hold value. Drove my 02 prerunner for 20 years with very little maintenance. Just change oil at 3k

  • @waynewallace2061

I paid $32K for my 2002 TRD 4x4 AC Tundra brand new. Now has 172K miles, well loved and maintained and run smooth as silk.

  • @dougwilkinson-uq3xr

You are dead on on what the future holds for used turbo toyotas!

  • @RascalCatify

Bought my fully loaded 2020 OR 4x4 for 43k OTD. 4 years later and I havent even hit 35k miles on it. Not getting rid of it any time soon thats for sure!

  • @shaunmiller9436

I have a 2018 Double Cab Tacoma TRD Off-road with 21,000 miles on it. Purchased it new for $35,000.
