Noobie here...very informative videos you post! I'm into drones, time lapses, hyper lapses, tilt-shift, blah blah blah...very new to 360. I just picked up a Samsung gear 360 and can't wait to go out and play with it. Thoroughly enjoy all your videos. Keep up the good work teaching us all about 360!
Flatt Out Videos hi Flatt Out! Thanks for subscribing! Samsung Gear 360's great! The possibilities for 360 are endless. 😀 let me know how it goes! Best regards, mic
I am a Google Trusted Photographer and level 7 Local Guide as well as being a Get Your Business Online Partner and Top Contributor. I have always had a great experience working with Google. I would not recommend the LG 360 as I had one and the stitching errors are too obvious to fit in with current image expectations from viewers
How do I switch between multiple Google StreetView accounts? I was hoping to segregate the content I upload to GSV between two or more of my google accounts
I was thinking about getting a Samsung Gear 360 when I saw this video. I have an iPhone and it wouldn’t work with that. I also realized that it wouldn’t work with the phone I was thinking of getting (LGv30) and decided not to get it. That just saved me some money. Thanks!
Israel andersonHOME thanks Israel. The good news is that if you have a Windows PC with at least 3rd gen core processor and OpenCL 2.0, you will be able to stitch photos using the included software. Another option for gear 360 2016 is to use the streetview app to stitch (works on iphone too) 360rumors.com/2016/06/workaround-for-triggering-samsung-gear.html Best regards, Mic Best regards, mic
Hi, nice video. I am from India. I am a hobbyist photographer with nikon d3100. My queries are: 1. Do you have any playlist, where one can learn n practice the art? 2. Can it be done with nikon d3100 or any smartphone? 3. Which is budget mid ranger camera ( I know you mentioned few in this video) you will recomend . Asking still... 4. a)What are places, 360 can be used? b)And how generate work/ business for 360 photography? c)And what should be pricing like?
Thank you, Michael! I think I know why the Xiaomi Mi Sphere takes photos that look sharper or have more detail in the background than the Theta V now. You mentioned that the Mi Sphere is 24 megapixels and the Theta is around 15. So, this may be part of it.
Heather Caprette hi Heather yes that's a big part of it. The other is the optics. Imho, xiaomi has better optics than theta. Otoh, for street view, theta is much more convenient and it has more than enough resolution. Best regards, mic
There’s good news and bad news. The bad news is that the street view app I showed here doesn’t exist anymore. The good news is that I made a new tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/Ji6p333I-08/видео.htmlsi=7moBjCXxgZmcGZRD
I use the camera in my phone with the Street View app. It does a tolerable job of stitching together the 40 or so individual images necessary to make a 360 "Photosphere," though it does have some errors. I take photospheres in interesting areas of national or state parks. So far, I have only taken 39 photospheres. I have over 3.2 million views total, with one photosphere receiving over a million views. Google now approves every photosphere I publish within minutes. And, within half an hour, I usually already have around 50 views. In the past few days alone, I have gotten 900 views of photospheres taken on an obscure mountain on a tiny Indian reservation. Moral of the story: Take photospheres that you would want to look at. Don't just chase the crowds.
Thank you for sharing. And I'm wondering is there a way to upload 360 pictures to Street View from the PC instead of using the Street View app on the phone?
Hi yes here is an updated tutorial ruclips.net/video/Ji6p333I-08/видео.html As for Google Trusted people are still on the directory but they stopped adding new people to it :(
The Man With The Hat hi and thank you very much for subscribing! Congrats on getting the theta V -- it is pretty awesome, with excellent photos and videos. Stay tuned - i will be posting videos on techniques and accessories that will be helpful for you! If there are any particular topics you want me to cover pls let me know. Happy new year! Best regards, Mic
360Rumors.com I’d like to know how I can edit my 360 video to add my own custom music overlay. Also can I add flat video to the beginning and end. Take a look at any of my video to see what I mean.
Hi Mic. Nice vid like always. When google street view app, suggests places that need photo, for example one restaurant, should I shot inside the store, or just outside photo?
Thanks m1ndwarp! When people go to street view, they want to see the place. So you should try to take photos inside the store, assuming your local laws don't prohibit it.
Thanks for the very useful information. Your tutorials are always very useful! Regarding the face blurring I always thought you had to blur everyone on streetview and they preferred shots without people? If not that should make it far easier to take shots in restaurants as I could just sit down and snap one from my table =P
Very interesting video! I just bought a Samsung Phone and a Samsung Gear 360 so I will go out and experiment with them soon! A question: There are multiple contribution opportunities nearby. Should you first contact those locations before showing up with your gear?
Thanks Ciro! No need -- just go there and take a photo. If they stop you, then explain that you're taking it for street view to give more exposure for their business. If they ask you to leave then that's up to them. :) Best regards, Mic
Bruce Haslam thanks Bruce! You need to submit photos of places in google maps. Download the street view app and select contribute to identify the best opportunities. Best regards, mic
Hi Rick. The phone will result in a more detailed photo but will take a long time to shoot and will have many stitching errors. See this updated video Add Your Photos to Google Earth Tutorial: Which 360 Camera For Virtual Tours In 2022? ruclips.net/video/Ji6p333I-08/видео.html
Great vid. I just subbed you as well. I'm going to do my own guitar teaching business, as well as try to get clients for street view here in my location in Nova Scotia. I'll probably return here with questions if that's ok.
Thanks Jim! Absolutely, pls feel free to ask any time! And i dont know why but all of my musician friends also are excellent photographers so maybe you are too 😁
Great video sir . My question is pls tell us any way how we can remove our self like Google back pack man foot print . I make a back pack with theta v for Google Street view .Thanks
Hi Muhammad. One way is to take 2 or more shots, and mask yourself out. See the video here at 27:10 360rumors.com/2017/10/360-cameras-real-estate-photography-virtual-tours-10-cameras-compared-plus-avoid-seen-360-photo.html Best regards, Mic
I had a question about goggle policy when uploading. If I take a photo of a hotel on the outside and of the lobby or room I'm staying in, do I need permission from the hotel to post on Goggle Street View. Thanks for the great videos on 360!
Hi Kstyle. No you dont need to get permission to post to street view. But when you are inside the hotel, the hotel may prohibit you from taking a photo.

Hi Mic! Thank you for your work! Could you help with advice? I would like to make VR Tours but mostly Street View for local businesses. Do you think it's worth to pay for Cupix and their Studio pack just to create VR Tours for Google Street view? Or is it better to use for example Kuula for VR Tours and simply use Street View app for adding 360 photos to Street View (for businesses like restaurants, hotels etc.?
hi, thanks so much for the video. I would like to try use a gopro, pano 5+1 and PTGui to stitch. Is the quality good enough? How will i be able to create the indoor tour. Is there a way with google streetview app?
Hi Gregory, yes the quality will be very good, easily better than almost all 360 cameras except the Panono. There are many software to do a virtual tour. Here is one of the easiest ways: 360rumors.com/2018/03/build-first-virtual-tour-today-fast-easy-way-kuula-co.html Best regards, Mic
Shafranlive thanks Shafran! Connect theta v wifi to your phone, launch gsv, connect to 360 cam. Once paired, video will be the second option. Best regards, mic PS im not sure but i heard it is limited to trusted photographers. Not sure if thats true.
The theta V makes nice decent photo's. Although the quality of de photo's made by the fusion is slightly better the theta is a better choice for making virtual tours. A friend of mine has a theta V. We made the same tour with both camera's and i prefer the one made with the theta. The dynamic range is better. The theta V is definetely worth the money.
Bruno Garcia hi Bruno! For the Yi i would recommend attaching it directly to the manfrotto lightstand with no ballhead. This will make the stand disappear. If the horizon is not level, straighten using theta converter or hugin or some other app. Voila! BR, Mic
Hi Mic, I posted three 360 photos for small businesses on google maps. The photos were accepted, however, google took them all down one week after they accepted and published the tours. I posted all three within a week. There appears to be no actual reason (high res, great stitching etc. Any idea why google would be doing this?
Without seeing the photos, it’s hard to tell. Fully 360? Did it have kids? Did google think it’s residential? If you post the photos somewhere else like kuula and send a link I can try to guess.
Hi Mic, I'd just like to point out that any photosphere editing with the Google Photos will cause StreetView to not recognize the GPS coordinates stored inside the picture, even if the data is still there (as confirmed with Google Photos information panel for instance). Simpy undoing the edits will make the GPS coordinates magically appear in StreetView. I have no ideea why this is happening and any tips around this are welcome.
11/25/18 It is nearly a year later, and so many newer camera are out there. Great info here, but maybe a tuneup/addendum would make a good video. Is Insta 360's software suitable for this? The reason that I ask is that will have the Insta 36 on X soon.
Hi Avijit. You should get experience shooting in 360 then you can ask businesses if they want to get a 360 photo on street view. This is the basic idea.
Just subscribed to your channel, please please please do more video like this. Beside sir how about gopro fusion 360? Does it support for google street view?
Hi Zulfadli! Thanks for subscribing! Yes fusion can work for street view although its photography controls are not as good as other cameras such as xiaomi and insta360 one. Yes i will do a video about the fusion as well.
Oh my God, you reply my comment. I really thank you 🙏 to you for fast response from you sir. Actually sir after i saw your video about this, i start thinking to make my hobby into generating some money. You really inspired most people, and of course u inspired me. I love gopro after see how the video can Zoom while play the video, its like a modern version on how video is capture and presenting to the audience. Since it cost me a lot, i have also to consider either gopro fusion meet all the criteria like: can do 360 for google street-most importantly and maybe facebook LIVE 360-should be bonus. Again, i really, really and really thank you to u for spending your time to reply my comment. Cheers 🥂 from Malaysia 🇲🇾
Thanks Zulfadi. I appreciate your support . Please note GoPro Fusion does not have live streaming capability. You can check out my GoPro Fusion review here, with detailed analysis and samples. 360rumors.com/2018/02/gopro-fusion-details-leaked-specifications-features-price-release-date-revealed.html Best regards, Mic
Vincent MIESCH hi Vincent if possible they should be different but they can be the same places if you want. But if you submit duplicate photo, you will not get a credit for the second one.
Vincent MIESCH hi yes it is the same. If you have street view app installed and you have a street view account, then sharing to google maps is going to launch street view and let you put the maps listing.
Won't all the cameras you mentioned in the beginning have parallax issues when shooting images indoors since they physically do not shoot from a nodal point?
Hi Jake! Yes there is some parallax stitching error but it is mitigated by two things: 1) The parallax stitiching error is proportionate to the distance between the lenses. For consumer 360 cameras, this distance is not so great so they are able to stitch as close as 3 feet. Thin 360 cameras like Mi Sphere and Theta and Insta360 One X can stitch even closer. 2) good quality 360 cameras have optical flow stitching which mitigates parallax stitching error. Fusion, for example can stitch as close as 1.5 feet. I hope that helps!
Thanks for your Video! I published 2 VR street view 360photos on google map and successful to see it online. How come my status of “ Google map approved photos” still zero?
Congrats Tracy! After uploading, it takes a while before the photo is approved. How quickly it is approved depends on how many people view it, and other factors.
Hi Steve. The basic concepts of earning some money as a virtual tour photographer for Google Maps are still true. However, the cameras are no longer the same. Here is an updated guide to virtual tour cameras in 2020: ruclips.net/video/IINhyvMf-aI/видео.html
Hi wteva99. TBH, creating virtual tours with street view's app is laborious. But there are 3rd party software to make it easier, such as GoThru or Tourmake.
Michael can you UPLOAD directly from "desktop" (primary storage location) instead of from the camera/smartphone? Much easier for us who can't see the "small screens" --- Thanks in advance
Hey there ReplayActionSports. There are 3rd party programs that enable uploads from desktops. But without a paid program, you have to use the mobile app.
@@360vroomers Hey Michael thanks much for the heads up! Any way you name and rate these apps if you have any experience with them..? Much appreciated! Super difficult to "find" these programs/apps online..
Hi Replay. Gothru and Panoskin are two software that can upload to streetview from desktop. There may be others but those are the ones i know off the top of my head.
Hello, a lot of people are saying Google Trusted Photographers are the “only” ones who can make a virtual tour. It is my understanding google’s virtual tour creator let’s anyone create a virtual tour.
@@360vroomers So are the businesses claiming that only google trusted photographers are able to create virtual tours for businesses and post them on GMB listings lying.?
@@SebastianRocks1234 hi Sebastian. No they are not lying. As i mentioned, google tour creator cannot create hotlinks between photos. It can only put thumbnails in the bottom.
@@360vroomers Okay, so google trusted photographers can make virtual tours with hotlinks between photos and list them onto GMB listings. Do they use the same software? Or do you upload using the google street view app?
360Rumors.com Your are welcome, your videos is very helpful in making what a good decision for a 360 photographer like me. for example what kind of camera is suitable for me also your suggest about tripod leg for I use. Now I am more careful in using my camera because it has happened my old camera 360 is damaged because of lack of experience.. 😀
Hi Marcos. That is called a virtual tour. There are many software for doing that. The easiest way is through a virtual tour website such as Kuula. here is a tutorial: ruclips.net/video/xsDK4csf_UU/видео.html
Thank you for this. Much appreciated. I upload photos to Google maps regularly as part of my Google Reviews. I am a Google Local Guide. The thing is, some of my photos (which are NOT spherical panoramas) are also showing up in the Street View app under the heading "collection". What do I do with them? Do I delete them? And if I delete them from the Street View app, will they also be deleted from my Google reviews? Thanks for some advice.
Hi Frederick! Becoming a google trusted photographer is just a ***stepping stone*** to a 360 career. See 0:31 in the video. Basically, when you upload to street view you don't get paid. But if you get a google trusted photographer status, then you can use that to talk to businesses and ask them if they want to pay you to take 360 photos for their business, for street view or other purposes. Best regards, mic
@@360vroomers How much would you charge a small local business to do a 360 view of say like a small restaurant or botique store? Just so I have an idea of the rates. TY in advance.
Hi Video and Music Editor. All you have to do is approach a business and offer to take a 360 photo of their business to be uploaded to google maps. This will take some work but im sure you can do it!
I have over 300 360° street view photos taken with a Nikkon camera (fisheye lens) and cropped the photos with PTGui, in the last 7 years (I was the first who made the 360 photos), got 42 millions views, level 8 local guide but 0$ from google, what I can do?
Hi Eblem. You should talk to businesses and ask them if they want to have a 360 photo of their store on google street view. You can show them your samples to show your skill level.
@@360vroomers I just discovered by just installing the google street view app I just got auto-promoted to a trusted photographer, I had no idea in past 7 years into this, honestly, most of my 360° photos are from 2013 to 2016, recently I haven't done much.
@@360vroomers I had one more question, if it is not a bother. I wanted to know if there is post-processing work to be done after taking the scans from my phone while being geo-tagged (blur out faces, license plates, stitching, etc.) or does Google handle that?
@@SebastianRocks1234 Hi Sebastian. If you shoot with the Street View app and the Z1, then the stitching is done automatically. You don't have to edit it, although of course, you can get better quality if you edit it. Re blurring, it can be done from the Street View app BEFORE uploading. support.google.com/maps/answer/7011973?co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid&hl=en&oco=1
I have around 100 photos published in google and out of this 84 photos are 360 photos. Still I didn't get any invite from Street View. What could be the reason.
Hi Vimalraj. There are several things you could try. First, in the GSV app, go to your profile and below your name tap on "stats". That will tell you how many google maps approved photos you have. If this is more than 50, then on the street view app, go to your settings and try to toggle "available for hire." Sometimes this is what 'wakes them up' to review your photos. This could take some time. in my case it took about 2 weeks before they approved me. If it is less than 50 even though you've uploaded 84, it's possible that some photos don't meet the requirements. Did you use a 360 camera or it's just a smartphone 360 photosphere? if it's the latter, it will likely have too many stitching errors to be accepted. If you used a 360 camera, are there stitching errors, etc? see here for a list of requirements www.google.com/streetview/earn/ If your photos meet the requirement, it's possible that some of them just haven't been approved yet, especially if some of them were only uploaded recently. Best regards, Mic
Thanks for your video I have got my 50 photos and I am now photographer google trusted Is it real that the visit inside will not appear on the right in a window says « look inside » ?? So the visit inside will be with all the other photo :/ (and not in front )
SaïdBadi hi Said! Congrats on becoming a trusted photographer! About your question, your photo will usually have a turn in front but if it doesnt get seen by a lot of people, it will drop further. For look inside, i think it will be hard to make your shot become more prominent than the look inside. Best regards, mic
What is if you upload 50 360° photos, would like to get the green trusted badge on your profile, but don’t want to be listed as a trusted photographer on Google? Can you still keep the badge on your profile icon? Because at 01:05 they wrote something that you only have access to the badge when you are listed as a trusted photographer.
It's been a long time so i dont remember but i think if you dont fill out the form then you won't get listed. I think you would still be a "trusted" photographer but im not sure.
360Rumors.com I'm so sorry. Mi 360 and Theta would be helpful. Thanks a lot. One more question. When adding hand held selfie stick, the camera looks like flying or staying in the air. So is there a tripod or monopod that will not be visible at all when placed on the ground with 360 camera on it?
Is there a free way to upload pictures to Google Street View from a PC instead of using the Street View app? I would like to first download the photos from my camera to my computer to do color and exposure corrections before posting to Street View. Thanks!
@@360vroomers I'm sorry, I should have been more specific. I meant is there a free way to upload "360" pictures to Google Street View from a PC instead of using the Street View app? I tried uploading the flat image from the Insta360 Studio software and that's how it appears in the GMB photos for that business. I can not pan around the photo like a 360 photo should allow.
@@SpectralightPhoto Hi SpectraLight. Yes I meant 360 photos. You can upload 360 photos to Google Maps, as long as the photo has the 360 metadata. If you stitch a photo with Insta360 Studio, it will have 360 metadata. Just make sure to export from the View tab to make it 360. Don't use the Freecapture tab.

Hi Mic, thanks for this great tutorial. I have a problem that I cannot upload manually stiched, perfect 360 spheres from drones or DSLR cameras in my Google Street View. Picture size and pixel and image ratio are all good. I get up to the "Publish in Maps" button, then it circles for a while, but the photo isn't uploaded. Also, Google Fotos does not recognize the spheres when uploading there, they are there just as flat images. Does it have to do with the XMP tag? I managed with no problem to upload a photo taken direct on my mobile phone on GSV app, of course with bad stiching errors. Thanks for any advice!
Hey buddy! is it possible that you exceeded the maximum resolution? i think the max for street view is 16000pix or something like that. Perhaps you can downrez it to a lower resolution and try uploading that
Thanks for your answer. I read that the maximum is 14000x7000 pix, and I tried various sizes. Today I managed to publish one picture (finally) with 10000x5000, so I will be continuing and trying with different sizes!
Hi JT. Technically insta360 air resolution is below the requirement for google street view. But if you resize it to 3840 x 1920 then it will be acceptable for resolution. Best regards, mic
Hi Ian. Google Trusted Photographer doesn't require any number of views. You just need to take 50 360 photos that meet their standard. Having said that, if a photo gets a lot of views, that photo will get approved much faster.
Hi, What camera do you use? There was an update to Google Street View that got rid of the feature of consolidating the photos in a groups. Without being able to consolidate, the 360 photos will be scattered.
Hi Jeffrey! I'm glad you asked because FYI there's a software that can do it automatically and allow you to upolad a virtual tour to Street View. see here 360rumors.com/2018/03/google-maps-virtual-tours.html Best regards, mic P.S. I use several cameras, including the ones i mentioned in the video.
Oh, thanks for quick reply. Though I didn’t mean the connection of the 360 photos, but when you upload to Google Street View. When I upload the walkthrough the individual 360 photos are separated instead of in one folder. I wouldn’t want to offer a business something that doesn’t look very neat. Thanks.
Hi there, the Google website still says the image quality needs to be 14mp or larger. www.google.com/streetview/earn/ Are you sure that 4K photos can meet the requirement? Or they've changed their requirement again?

Hi shy bkee. Google Street View will not pay you directly. Instead, it is only a stepping stone toward a virtual tour business. For example, companies have contacted me to offer paid virtual tour jobs. It is also a way of building a portfolio.
Great video, in order to be a trusted photographer I need to upload 50 photos , does it has to be any photo like a park , church , store or a cool spot. Or it needs to be a particular branch like just stores and restaurants. Thanks in advanced
Fahed Correa hi Fahed. It can be anything (just check your country's laws to make sure it is legal to take a photo of the place). But since you will be showing these photos to your clients, i recommend choosing photos that are attractive.
@@sabaidee5587 hi nicoleta. No google will not pay you. Some businesses need Google streetview photos. They are willing to pay people to take those photos. You could be one of those people 😀
Did I miss it? Where is the part you talk about "earning money" from google street view? Probably you talked about all the other things... apart from THIS?!?! Am I wrong?
Hi Waldemar. I said it at the beginning. Google is not the one that pays you. Rather you offer to businesses the service of putting a 360 photo on their google maps listing. Yes people get paid to do that.
360Rumors yes I am logged in! oh I think I figured out. I had only recently installed the street view app again as I had previously deleted it from my phone and found out Google Map app had a huge update recently and they now combine all functions including the contribute tab on street view to the new google map app. Looks like now it’s centralised to this interface. I’m not sure will try around again! Thanks for replying!
Ruddy Rivero Cabero hi Ruddy. I dont know any survey for that. I think the cost will vary depending on the cost of living which can be different from one city to another.
How do I switch between multiple Google StreetView accounts? I was hoping to segregate the content I upload to GSV between two or more of my google accounts
Click on your icon from any google site such as youtube. Look for "switch account" or "add account". Once those are added, then you'll see in your street view app, there are several accounts, and you can tap on any of them to switch to them
Hi Alexander! You don't get paid for submitting Street View photos. Instead, you benefit from exposure. If you are a Google Trusted Photographer, it's one of the ways you can market yourself to businesses and ask them to hire (and pay) you. Best regards, Mic

Hi 3minutes. You have to go to potential clients, explain your service and convince them to hire you. When you do that, will it help to say you are google local guide level 7? why or why not? that's what i mean. Best regards, Mic
no one talking about light? the most important thing indoors .... I don't get it ... 2-3 softboxes are super cheap, but need to be hidden somehow ......
Hi Christian. If you want to use artificial light sources, you need to take a shot without the light as well then mask the softboxes out. If you are using flash, then you need to use a dslr/milc and panohead. Best regards, Mic
I got a 360 one and a virb - they both don't support flash or do they? I have 2 yn650 with remote trigger support for my a7 ... would be awesome if the 360s would be able to trigger flash.
Hi Christian. No, they don't support flash, though i wish they did. i'm a strobist too. Anyway, to use flash, you need to use a DSLR or mirrorless and then use a panohead. Best regards, Mic
Hi Maturu. Is Mi Note 4 the same as Redmi Note 4? If it is, the answer is yes for now. Please see this demo ruclips.net/video/YFfKvoO4QRU/видео.html Best regards, Mic
Hi. With 360 photos, you can look around the photo, which gives you a better idea of what it's like to be in a place. This is very useful for industries such as real estate, construction, architecture, hotels and restaurants, and even for car buying, etc.
If you want to make money with 360 photos, an easy way to start is by becoming listed as a Google Trusted Photographer. This video shows how. Here are the promised links and the table of contents.

Wow! 3 years later I don't know if it is possible but thank you for the information. It's an easy job
Thanks buddy! The shooting is not so hard, but generating sales is not so easy unless you are very good at talking.
Michael Johnston thanks Michael.
Another option for gear 360 2016 is to use the streetview app to stitch (works on iphone too) 360rumors.com/2016/06/workaround-for-triggering-samsung-gear.html

Hi, nice video. I am from India. I am a hobbyist photographer with nikon d3100. My queries are:
Here is a tutorial from start to finish! :D ruclips.net/video/3hP_8eZTGiw/видео.html&lc=Ugy17M6NnSQ1LwfcuKh4AaABAg
Hi Mic. Happy New Year to you and to all your followers!
J M thanks and i wish you a happy and prosperous new year!
This is great but could you make a modern video on how to do this as it seems the apps and processes are not the same these days?
There’s good news and bad news. The bad news is that the street view app I showed here doesn’t exist anymore. The good news is that I made a new tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/Ji6p333I-08/видео.htmlsi=7moBjCXxgZmcGZRD
Nice one Mic, an easy way to make your camera pay for itself several times over while doing something you love 👍🏼
Won Kee thanks Won Kee! Yes thats the plan 😉
Don't just chase the crowds.
woohoo! congrats!
You are awesome! I love your videos, they made me into 360 photograph, I'm just waiting for my Mi Sphere to come.
Adriano Rodrigo thank you so much Adriano! I am sure you will love the mi sphere! Best regards, mic
Thank you for sharing. And I'm wondering is there a way to upload 360 pictures to Street View from the PC instead of using the Street View app on the phone?
Hey there Book! Yes you can go to google maps, look for the place, click on photos, and click on "add a photo".
Nice video for getting people started with Google Streetview! Thumbs up! =D
Thank you very much Steve! will post a follow up to this in a couple of weeks! best regards, mic

Can you do a video for Google street mapping with the insta360 one R
Hi 17seventySIX. Just connect your phone wifi to one r, launch the street view app, then tap connect to 360 camera.
New subscriber. Liked and shared too. Just ordered my first 360 camera. The Thata V
The Man With The Hat hi and thank you very much for subscribing! Congrats on getting the theta V -- it is pretty awesome, with excellent photos and videos. 360Rumors.com I’d like to know how I can edit my 360 video to add my own custom music overlay. Also can I add flat video to the beginning and end. Take a look at any of my video to see what I mean.
hi.. i was using street view app for virtual tour, but now street view app is stopped its service. could you suggest any alternate app?
360Rumors.com Thank you so much!
No problem buddy! Glad to help!
Thanks for the very useful information. Your tutorials are always very useful! Regarding the face blurring I always thought you had to blur everyone on streetview and they preferred shots without people? If not that should make it far easier to take shots in restaurants as I could just sit down and snap one from my table =P
Vyviel thank you very much Vyviel. I will continue to do my best for you and other viewers of 360 Rumors 😀
Hey, very informative👍. So is it 50 google approved photos or 50 360 degree approved photos to be Google Approved Photographer?
Thanks Mika! You need 50 approved 360 photos to be a Google Trusted Photographer. Best regards, Mic
Hi can you please advise which camera is better for Google trusted photography ? Insta 360 x3 or Pilot EE ?
Whats a good camera you recommend for google maps to offer 360 of inside of business places
Hi Dynamic Geek. Please watch my next video - which will make several recommendations depending on your needs.
What type of pictures should be submitted to Google: Buildings, Houses, Nature, etc?
Thanks and love your channel.
Bruce Haslam thanks Bruce! You need to submit photos of places in google maps. Download the street view app and select contribute to identify the best opportunities. Best regards, mic
Why not start with a 8k Android cell phone directly with Streets View Ap to stitch the photos.
Hi Rick. The phone will result in a more detailed photo but will take a long time to shoot and will have many stitching errors. See this updated video Add Your Photos to Google Earth Tutorial: Which 360 Camera For Virtual Tours In 2022?

Hi Berkei. Sorry for the delayed reply. You can use several programs to post to Street View. Not just Cupix. For example, Pano2VR can do it too.
hi, thanks so much for the video.
Thank you so much bro will you please explain how to upload 360 video and make it automatically directed by google street view as you mentioned?
Shafranlive thanks Shafran! Connect theta v wifi to your phone, launch gsv, connect to 360 cam. Once paired, video will be the second option. Best regards, mic PS im not sure but i heard it is limited to trusted photographers. Not sure if thats true.
The last I heard it was still in beta and only available through android devices
Thanks Ty! Any recommendation for a non intrusive ballhead for a YI 360 mounted on a Manfrotto lightstand? Thanks
I asked 3D Vista and they reported that GSV has been 'erratic' lately.
Hmm so strange. seems like a bug...
Great information. Thank you for helping my business.
Thank you very much sunbladerr!
11/25/18 It is nearly a year later, and so many newer camera are out there. Great info here, but maybe a tuneup/addendum would make a good video. Is Insta 360's software suitable for this? The reason that I ask is that will have the Insta 36 on X soon.
Hi Chris! Yes after the video that I will publish today, that will be the next one. Yes Insta360 One X can be good for virtual tours.

just wanted to know how to earn from 360 trusted photographer or agency ?
Hi Avijit. You should get experience shooting in 360 then you can ask businesses if they want to get a 360 photo on street view. This is the basic idea.
How to shoot 360 photo with normal dslr or android smartphone?? And where & how to upload??

Aie ! the 50 photos do you talk must talk about the same thing or i can upload 50 differently photo ?Thank for your work
Vincent MIESCH hi Vincent if possible they should be different but they can be the same places if you want. But if you submit duplicate photo, you will not get a credit for the second one.
Ok thank’s . I try to upload a 360 photos un Google street but The apps write uplad to Google MAPS not Google street. Its The same thing or not ?
Vincent MIESCH hi yes it is the same. If you have street view app installed and you have a street view account, then sharing to google maps is going to launch street view and let you put the maps listing.
360Rumors.com ok i Will try thanks a lot 🙂
Thank you really .
Glad to help!!
360Rumors Thanks for your reply. This is very helpful.
@@tracylv1375 no problem! Let me know if you have any questions!
This video is over 2 years old, do you still recommend the same equipment? Same Cameras?
Hi Steve. The basic concepts of earning some money as a virtual tour photographer for Google Maps are still true. However, the cameras are no longer the same. Here is an updated guide to virtual tour cameras in 2020: ruclips.net/video/IINhyvMf-aI/видео.html
Once you’re certified after 50 photos, is uploading virtual tours for businesses pretty simple? I use kuula.
@@360vroomers Can you "name" and rate these apps if you have experience with them? much appreciated. :)
Hi Sebastian. Yes that's true but google tour creator doesn't have hotspots. Just thumbnails.

Now I am more careful in using my camera because it has happened my old camera 360 is damaged because of lack of experience.. 😀
how to make the tour with 2 or more 360 of the same place?
Thank you for the video. How much money could be made from being a google trusted photographer? would i be paid per picture?
Hi Frederick! Becoming a google trusted photographer is just a ***stepping stone*** to a 360 career. See 0:31 in the video. Basically, when you upload to street view you don't get paid. But if you get a google trusted photographer status, then you can use that to talk to businesses and ask them if they want to pay you to take 360 photos for their business, for street view or other purposes. Best regards, mic

@@SebastianRocks1234 Hi Sebastian. If you shoot with the Street View app and the Z1, then the stitching is done automatically.
If you used a 360 camera, are there stitching errors, etc? see here for a list of requirements www.google.com/streetview/earn/
If your photos meet the requirement, it's possible that some of them just haven't been approved yet, especially if some of them were only uploaded recently.
Best regards,
Mic

Is it real that the visit inside will not appear on the right in a window says « look inside » ??

Thanks man.
Thanks N H
Is there a free way to upload pictures to Google Street View from a PC instead of using the Street View app? I would like to first download the photos from my camera to my computer to do color and exposure corrections before posting to Street View. Thanks!
Sure. Just go to maps.google.com. Go to the location for the photo. Click on photos, and click on "Add photos". That's all :D
@@360vroomers I did export the photo (did not use the Free Capture tab) and then uploaded the equirectangular jpeg to this store's GMB page. Here's the direct link to the interior photo I uploaded. Can you check the metadata to see if it is OK?: www.google.com/maps/uv?hl=en&pb=!1s0x88309725552f75bf%3A0x91f32db1b38645d!2m22!2m2!1i80!2i80!3m1!2i20!16m16!1b1!2m2!1m1!1e1!2m2!1m1!1e3!2m2!1m1!1e5!2m2!1m1!1e4!2m2!1m1!1e6!3m1!7e115!4shttps%3A%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipMEpuTDdQK6AQ2hgbF1gh6qCeOEzn0y807_p-58%3Dw260-h175-n-k-no!5sfurniture%20store%2044039%20-%20Google%20Search!15sCAQ&imagekey=!1e10!2sAF1QipMEpuTDdQK6AQ2hgbF1gh6qCeOEzn0y807_p-58
Hi SpectraLight. Did you add your logo or edit the photo with a 3rd party program? That could have stripped the 360 metadata.
Aeropix.ch great! 😀
Thanks
hallo i have insta 360 air. this mean i cant add photos on google, shooted with this camera?
Hi JT. Technically insta360 air resolution is below the requirement for google street view. But if you resize it to 3840 x 1920 then it will be acceptable for resolution. Best regards, mic
wish u and your family
more healthy :)
Thank you very much!
how about using own logo to patch nadir in streetview?
yes it appears it's allowed www.quora.com/Can-I-watermark-photos-that-I-submit-to-Google-maps
how many views should an average 360 photo get, to fasten your listing as a Google Trusted Photographer?
Hi Ian. Google Trusted Photographer doesn't require any number of views. You just need to take 50 360 photos that meet their standard. Having said that, if a photo gets a lot of views, that photo will get approved much faster.
Hi,
What camera do you use?
There was an update to Google Street View that got rid of the feature of consolidating the photos in a groups. Without being able to consolidate, the 360 photos will be scattered.
Is there any way to consolidate the 360 photos?
Thanks.
is this still valid for 2020? I read in other forums that google has removed the GTP program...
Yes there are still google trusted photographers.
Do you have to have permission from the public places you photograph before submitting it to google?
Hi Skyview. I suggest checking local laws. One thing that helps is that Google street view has an automatic face blurring feature.
Best regards,
Mic
Hi there, the Google website still says the image quality needs to be 14mp or larger. www.google.com/streetview/earn/
Are you sure that 4K photos can meet the requirement? Or they've changed their requirement again?
Hi yes 4K works on streetview. Here is a sample someone posted (it's a framegrab from a video): www.google.com/maps/@39.5947819,-105.3096078,3a,75y,127.16h,73.18t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1sAF1QipO0KAPABuge-I-ZixM7b7UsYnL8uUWS7y5GFLWR!2e10!3e11!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipO0KAPABuge-I-ZixM7b7UsYnL8uUWS7y5GFLWR%3Dw203-h100-k-no-pi-0-ya43.117374-ro-0-fo100!7i3840!8i1920

Can you use the insta 360 r
Like you can on the x
One R can do everything One X can, plus more features that One X cannot do.
how much you can earn from this? same examples please?
This will depend on your location and your marketing skills. The more that you can bring customers to a store, the more valuable your photos will be.
Thanks for the video, anyway the question is: What about earnings? Does the google offer any real money or points and badges only?
Hi shy bkee. Google Street View will not pay you directly. Instead, it is only a stepping stone toward a virtual tour business. For example, companies have contacted me to offer paid virtual tour jobs. It is also a way of building a portfolio.
@@360vroomers Thank you for the info.
Thanks shy bkee! Pls. let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks.

haha thank you so much for the information bro
Thanks buddy! I wilk have more vids re virtual tours and earning income... stay tuned!
So helpful.
Thank you very much Juned!
So, you earn money directly from Google ?
@@sabaidee5587 hi nicoleta. No google will not pay you. Some businesses need Google streetview photos. They are willing to pay people to take those photos. You could be one of those people 😀
Thank you, i like it, you are very nice and positive.
I'll inform myself more about
Thanks. 😊
I'm sorry, just one question more, do I need a website for that?
Thank you so much and good luck.
Yes people get paid to do that.
is the only way to publish on mobile ?
Somehow the “contribute” tab in my street view app is gone! Anyone experienced this? Any advice ?
I still see it on mine, way at the right. Are you logged in?
360Rumors yes I am logged in! oh I think I figured out. I had only recently installed the street view app again as I had previously deleted it from my phone and found out Google Map app had a huge update recently and they now combine all functions including the contribute tab on street view to the new google map app. Looks like now it’s centralised to this interface. I’m not sure will try around again! Thanks for replying!
i really like your sharing , thank for all your help show and teach :)
How much to charge in the US for photos with xiaomi or theta?
Ruddy Rivero Cabero hi Ruddy. I dont know any survey for that. I think the cost will vary depending on the cost of living which can be different from one city to another.
How do I switch between multiple Google StreetView accounts?
I was hoping to segregate the content I upload to GSV between two or more of my google accounts
Click on your icon from any google site such as youtube. Look for "switch account" or "add account". Once those are added, then you'll see in your street view app, there are several accounts, and you can tap on any of them to switch to them
Can I use a phone
You can but it will take a while to take each photo, and the photos will have many errors.
Thanks for this video? Maybe I missed it, but how do you actually get paid? Per view or photo?
Hi Alexander! You don't get paid for submitting Street View photos. Instead, you benefit from exposure. If you are a Google Trusted Photographer, it's one of the ways you can market yourself to businesses and ask them to hire (and pay) you. Best regards, Mic
360Rumors.com thanks for the fast reply!
Is it good to shoot 360° photo with Redmi note 4 i only have ,but my few photos are written as maps rejected and some approved but stat show no approved also I am in level 7 local guide can you suggest me how to photos being approved
3minutes talk hi my friend. If you take a 360 photo with a phone it can have a lot of stitching errors that's why they are being rejected. I recommend getting a 360 camera such as the xiaomi mi sphere. You can get a discount here if you use the code GBCE www.gearbest.com/action-cameras/pp_651543.html?lkid=10383763
Best regards,

Is there any future for being a Google local guide?
Hi TBH i'm not aware of any but then again i'm only level 5 right now. when you are pitching your services to a client, will it help to say i'm a level 7 local guide? why or why not? that is the critical question. Best regards, Mic
Sorry sir but I cant understand the line when you are pitching your services to a client!
Hi 3minutes. You have to go to potential clients, explain your service and convince them to hire you. When you do that, will it help to say you are google local guide level 7? why or why not? that's what i mean. Best regards, Mic
Mic is there anyway business profit from this today
Hi BigData yes people hire me to do street view photos of their businesses. See here

@@360vroomers great 👍 ✅ under the new name of metaverse is cool . Trisio lite 2 would be great a tool from your recent reviews.
no one talking about light? the most important thing indoors ....

What's special about 360 photos
Hi. With 360 photos, you can look around the photo, which gives you a better idea of what it's like to be in a place. This is very useful for industries such as real estate, construction, architecture, hotels and restaurants, and even for car buying, etc.
