Kinda late to ask, but are NuPhy’s “standard”. Like, if I’m buying something like a custom keycap from Etsy made to a size that should be compatible with the Air75, will it be actually compatible?
Air75 has been nicely improved with some recent firmware updates and now the control software has been released which isn’t only for illumination but also is good for macros.

Thank you for such an excellent side-by-side! I was leaning towards a Nuphy and my husband was recommending the Keychron- made this the perfect review video. 😊
Thanks for a very helpful review. I got the K3 after watching; partly because there is a UK version. I have the optical blue switches. The click is there but it's subtle. The easiest way to describe the feel is that it is 'soft', next to my K3 with browns and RK61 with blues. On the up side, it is stylish, slim, quiet, and certainly portable. I'll probably keep it but I’ll see how I feel in a few days.
For now also dedicated software is worth to mention: Nuphy develops (now in beta) its own dedicated Nuphy console to customize board macros and key bindings. Keychron does not offer such software
I tried both, immediately returned the K3 V2. The K3 V2 is stepped like a typewriter, and my fingers were routinely blocked by each row above whatever row I started from. The NuPhy Air 75 with red switches is my favorite keyboard ever, even ordered some of their holiday and beach themed keycaps :) I also tried the Logitech Mechanical Mini - which I also returned due a noticeable delay while gaming, and awful feeling keycaps, which may not be an issue for most. I cannot comment on the wireless as I use the NuPhy in wired mode 100% of the time.
Awesome review. The moment I saw the NuPhy board on the LTT review I wanted to see a comparison video like this because I have the k3v2 and could easily spot the similarities.
I like your review, just want to mention that it's hard to judge the sound of the keyboards in the first typing test, because you seem to have some aggressive "noise removal" applied to your audio. It mutes the sound of the keys right after you press the key, cutting off any reverb or other sounds that distinguish one keyboard from another.

Excellent. It’s overwhelming how many mechanical keyboards have flooded the market, and given how much waste the world is facing. How many extra buttons n switches folks accumulate to mod their $67 d keyboards. I just ordered a Mac studio so I wanna get a cool travel monitor, and mechanical keyboard to utilize mostly for music, but work as well. @@EnforcerMan There's no mention of a UK layout option on their site. I've also read in several places that they don't make one, which rules out this keyboard.
Sounds stupid but I would like to ask... Is there any chance to find the keycaps of Nuphy and change on K3 v2 ? I really like the colors of Nuphy, but I already have the K3.
I see a lot of complaints about Bluetooth on Keychron devices, but what I don't see is what dongles, laptops or setting they are using. I say this because I do not have the same experience, BT is perfect on my K3 V2 with TP-Link dongle on my Windows desktop. That makes me think the problem is more the user or setup and not the device. I wish people would give examples of what BT dongle they are using if on a desktop computer, or what laptop they are using, or if they know how to adjust settings within the systems they are using. It can't be the hardware if its fine for some and not for others.
I own the k3 - i think the air 75 looks better in my opinion. Things i hate on the k3 are the function buttons dont work in linux (out the box - you can fix the issue but its a pain) and the first rgb lighting mode when you plug it in is some crazy annoying animated one. I unplug my keyboard a lot so its a pain to have to turn it off everytime
the k3 takes ridiculously long to connect and misses keys sometimes but maybe that is when the battery is low. the connection time is a joke. for the amount of money that it costs it is unacceptable. this can't be called the best. maybe best looking but that is about it. plus, you can barely see the rgb lighting. it steps down in brightness when it is not connected but you can use a trick to bring it up, press fn+end and you have some static bright colors. or white. but still...
I can't believe you spent ten minutes talking about these keyboards and didn't even mention how they were to type on! Did you find one easier to type on than the other? Did you make more or less mistakes with one rather than the other? Which one was more satisfying to type on? These are the most important aspects of a keyboard rather than how it sounds or what size battery it has.
@@rogimx I got the Keychron K3 Pro which is also disappointing: the keys are larger than the K3 (good) but the keys are less clicky and the backlight is also kinda useless. Actually better off sticking with my old K3 😞

Great video! Thanks for the review! I want to get a nuphy after watching this! Do you know if keychron optical switches are compatible with nuphy? If they both can use gateron LP mechanical, i assume yes?
Does the Nuphy Air75 have the option of a UK layout?
No that I'm aware of... check their site see if you can find some information. and let us know if they do :)
Tenkeyless, low profile keys, blue Gateron switches, white light. To me this is the perfect setup for typists who enjoy hearing themselves type.
Is it possible to interchange these keyboard switches..for example the nuphy using optical keychron switches?
from what i know keychron opticals are proprietary and not interchangeable because they aren't mechanical
So helpful thank you. Can you suggest for typing accuracy which is better?
You got it! I personally haven’t had any issues but some have reported BT issues with older keychain keyboards… so to be safe may be go with nuphy
@@EnforcerMan sorry I mean like in terms of missed presses/typos
I see a lot of complaints about Bluetooth on Keychron devices, but what I don't see is what dongles, laptops or setting they are using. I say this because I do not have the same experience, BT is perfect on my K3 V2 with TP-Link dongle on my Windows desktop. That makes me think the problem is more the user or setup and not the device. I wish people would give examples of what BT dongle they are using if on a desktop computer, or what laptop they are using, or if they know how to adjust settings within the systems they are using. It can't be the hardware if its fine for some and not for others.
Agreed k3 bluetooth works flawlessly on surface pro. You don't even have to think about it.
but how do you make your beard shape so perfect?? 😭
But the same one NON-MECHANICAL ?
Loved the video but it doesn’t matter anymore, air 75 isn’t even available, asked them when it will, stated unknown 🤷🏻♂️
When is nuphy 60 coming out ?
Hi.
Can i swap Nuphy keycaps to keychron? Does it fit?
the k3 takes ridiculously long to connect and misses keys sometimes but maybe that is when the battery is low. the connection time is a joke. for the amount of money that it costs it is unacceptable. this can't be called the best. maybe best looking but that is about it. plus, you can barely see the rgb lighting. it steps down in brightness when it is not connected but you can use a trick to bring it up, press fn+end and you have some static bright colors. or white. but still...
Battery Life?
Easy choice. Only one comes in ISO layout.
خوب بود. تشکر.

The Air75 does not come with the case unless you're getting it as a combo purchase.
has anyone used any of them with Ubuntu?
Air 75 will bin becuase of how the keycaps look, the color scheme and the frame. The difference is clear!
Nuphy should have shipped the keyboard with their nsa shine through keycaps.
Backlight on the Air75 is kinda useless and a dealbreaker for me, even though it’s nicer in other areas.
I agree. I just bought mine and it was the thing I got disappointed at. I have no idea why they did this. Like you said it’s just useless.
@@rogimx I got the Keychron K3 Pro which is also disappointing: the keys are larger than the K3 (good) but the keys are less clicky and the backlight is also kinda useless. Actually better off sticking with my old K3 😞
Are there any other lowrise 75% keyboards that compete with these two? This is all I've been able to find
I have this one also: www.hexgears.org/products/x-1-mechanical-keyboard
@@EnforcerMan those look nice but they're not quite 75% keyboards right
and everyone who reads this comment better sub to this guy cause he’s great and underrated, he’s gonna grow big this year, im calling it
Thanks mate 👍🏼👊🏼💪🏼 appreciate the support
