Definitely better than my time when I was there in 97-98. E1-E4 usually had two to three to a room and the bathrooms were for the entire floor lol. Good to see all the changes and upgrades that has occurred there, I loved being stationed there and learned a lot of things I never would have otherwise. Made some lifelong friends too, thanks for the video!
Hi I was at camp Humphries in 90 and 91 I had three roommates and bathroom down the hall little shoppettes sold budwieser 6 packs for 2.00 dollars they punched your ration card I flew airplanes on Saturdays at osan air force base I was in old fashioned Korea
Wow. The Hump has had a MAJOR facelift since I was there Jun ‘04-05. I was assigned to 607th Combat Communications Squadron, a small USAF detachment. Our “dorm” was an old Army Barracks that was completely gutted and had wall to wall carpeting (which the Army folks were jealous of), the AF said that the dining facilities on base were SUBSTANDARD by AF ratings so we got to keep our BAS AND got an extra allotment for food. LOL.
Yall living large in Hollywood barracks. you got a tub? I was there 85 to feb 87 501st MI Bn AE. We had 5 guys to a room open bay style. maybe a hot plate for ramen and that's it. 610 to a dollar was the exchange rate then .The only thing i miss is the steam and cream and how good the local food was .The AAFES bus tours were great. I was there for the first burger king in country we lost our minds with that ish. Overall i had fun on my tour.
Was stationed in Bamberg, Germany 87-92. Was an AWESOME duty station. But, our barracks were not even close to being this nice. My battalion, 2/14 FA, were old WWII buildings.

Glad to see a vet who doesn't complain that new soldiers are being treated better.

How is it over there is it high speed or chill?
I think that largely depends on who you’re with. For us, especially with Covid, it’s fairly chill.
I was stationed at Ft. Irwin from 91-93 and the barracks here are 100 times better than Ft. Irwin’s….
Are the barracks separated by units or is everyone kinda just mixed in
Where’d you get your black storage cases w the wheels? brand?
