Awesome!…….. I was disturbed I’ll be spending a couple of dollars to fix it until I came across this saving video.
Thank you so much 🙏🏼
Thanks for watching olabisialaka, no problem at all.
I do not have an eco button , what do I do
@@はII what is your dryer doing?
@@Thomasapplianceit is not getting hot
@@FortniteFuel then the heater isn't working, or a thermostat is burnt out.
Thank you! I watched other videos, making me think that I needed to change a sensor or something. Just needed to change that setting, wow🌷
Thanks for watching Winter, yeah thats such a simple thing that can change so much. I'm glad it worked for you!
My question now is, who TF in my household decided to change it?!!! Their days are numbered 😡
Lol thanks for watching
🤣
Your video is the only one that worked, thank you
That's great to hear, thanks for watching
Wow thank you I was just getting ready to load it up and take it to a dealer they want $30 to look at it. So far it’s working:)
Glad it helped! And no problem
you very welcome, thanks for watching!
Thank you so much 👍👍👍
No problem at all
*UPDATE SINCE MY LAST REPLY*
Found out I needed a whole new breaker box. Wasn't the dryer at all. If your dryer is running but not heating up please check the voltage output from your box AND outlet. Apparently, this is happening a lot. One side was putting out 118 & the other 40. The electrician fixed it and the dryer works amazingly 😊
Yes definitely if you have a meter that is always the first check. Thanks for watching ReneesSignature.
Is it the same for gas dryers? My is still connected to electricity to be on of course but is gas and is brand new and not drying
@rachellmarin8614 Not sure about the gas dryer, as those should just be a regular 3-prong plug. For gas, I'd suggest having a professional take a look. You can also call Samsung and they can troubleshoot right over your phone (literally see through your camera). They are the ones who informed me to have the electrician check the voltage. Good luck 🫶
@rachellmarin8614 usually the issue is in the venting, so make sure that is clear first.
@@Thomasappliance
I tried that and it worked. But why my dryer still doesn't turn off only by unplugging the cable.
Didn't even know that option existed. That fixed my issue. Thanks.
You're very welcome
Thank you..this really help me a lot...
Thanks for watching carolinareyes, and your very welcome! I have a feeling this is going to be a huge issue.
😂I’m just so dumb, I thought something was wrong with power source because my vent and lint everything is clean but still doesn’t dry, it’s brand new machine
Thanks for watching uniquerod, if you don't know about it, it catches you off guard.
Thanks this video helped me
You welcome, thanks for watching!!
"Normal Dry." For that, ECO DRY is ON by default but can be turned off. Will not stick. You may have to deselect eco dry every time.
Yes depending on the cycle you choose, it could be on every time
Omgosh thank you so very much!
Thanks for watching crystallaeder, and no problem at all, glad it helped!
You can print the manual online if you are having other issues.
Yes if only people read that thing more
You posted it on youtube short, screen is too small. I can't see what that button that you pushed was lol...
It was the eco dry button
@@Thomasappliance thank you, I actually got my reading glasses out and saw that I was getting ready to sell my fancy Samsung washer and dryer because it was not drying my clothes completely since new.
@brucewayne2773 yeah I dont know why this was ever an option if it doesn't work
I have this exact dryer but i tried this method but mine is making a buzzing noise and not turning at all and i checked the belt and it’s perfectly fine. What else can i do?
If the dryer just buzzes when you hit the start button either the drum is being held up by something, there is something in the blower wheel or the motor is weak.
One year old Samsung dryer won't even power on. Disappointed because it's months past their warranty.
Thanks for watching soullessdevice, that really sucks, and seems to be happening more often lately.
Same here!
Hi, i just had this happen to me. Did you figure out what needed to be fixed? Anything you can recommend on what I should do? I would really appreciate it.
Happened to me.
1 year warranty, a month past warranty it failed.
It still says cooling?!?
Usually the only reason the dryer says that all the time is if the heater or thermostat is blown.
Was hoping this video was my answers, but I can't figure out why it won't start drying.
Does the machine run, just doesn't heat at all?
It doesn't heat
@@MshalAlfdly-og9vl these dryers were really bad at blowing heaters
I’m having this problem i turned it on and it says drying cooling the Eco dry button is off why it doesn’t wants to work. And what does it mean by saying drying cooling ?
What part of the cycle was it in, because at the end it turns off the heat and just tumbles.
How do you get that mode back working again?
It automatically turns it on when using certain cycles
The samsung dryer use doesn't have it on. It goes from 59 minutes to 1 minute after 5 minutes. My clothes are not dry
Yeah there is a lot of issues that could cause that, like that button being on, the sensor bars being dirty, the vent being plugged. Try running it on time dry and see if it fixes this shutting off early stuff
@Thomasappliance I finished troubleshooting and somehow water is slowly leaking from inside the sealing draining down the exhaust pipe to the dryer vent. This is in my workplace and I believe I fixed it for everyone by taking care of the water issue. It seems like a safety feature for it to shut off due to the water creating a moisture build up
@justincredible3808 yes definitely, that's very rare but good job diagnosing that one.
Gas natural or heat pump? 👋 from Argentina
Thanks for watching juanignacioreim, this machine is a electric heater. 👋 from Canada.
When i turn off the echo button it increases by itself the more dry light up arrows, i smell a burnt smell inside the dryer when i open the door what does that mean?
It shouldn't have anything to do with the eco button, how long have you had the dryer?
I tried doing this just not but it’s still not spinning, making dryer sound or heating. We only got to use this two times
If your machine is doing nothing try turning the breaker for the dryer off and back on.
TYSM
You are very welcome!
same dryer as yours but i have zero heat what the common problem?
Thanks for watching nattrejo, usually it's the heater, but sometimes you can get away with just changing the thermal fuse. I have a couple videos on changing and testing both.
How to turn it off permanently
Thanks for watching eniamreg, when I pushed this one off it stayed off. If it doesn't it could be a different model that I haven't seen yet sorry.
I need help!. My dryer does power on at all!. What do you think it could be?!
It could be the breaker tripped, the dryer control panel faulty, and possibly wiring. Try resetting breaker first
Change control board.
Helloe. Have the same machine. Does this one have to be connected to the gas line for the heat to work?
Thanks for watching ixinfinite, if it is a gas dryer yes it needs to be hooked to gas in order to heat and plugged in. If its electric you just have to plug it in.
@@Thomasappliance Thank you for your reply Greg well appreciated. I went ahead and bought a gas hose.
Now if i can find out why door safety switcb doesnt work. Dryer stays on whe u open door.
That is definitely a door switch or board issue.
I know this’s a really dumb question but how do you adjust the time on that dryer? I’ve tried all the buttons that may do it but it just won’t work 💀
The dryer doesn't have a clock on any dryer I've seen, this made me think for a second though lol.
@@Thomasappliance I have the same dryer as you btw. But like, does that mean you just can't adjust the time? Mine is always set to 39 mins and I can't adjust it.
@kiko9859 oh ok I see, some cycles you can adjust the time and some you can't, if its a sensor cycle it will adjust itself as to how dry the clothes are, the only real adjustable time frame is time dry.
@@Thomasappliance thanks!!!
@kiko9859 no problem, hopefully that helps
It doesn’t work for me!
Does yours have the button that the video does?
My cooling light on how can I fix it
Is the cooling light on all the time? Does the dryer heat?
@@Thomasappliance cooling light on all the time and we have to dry it twice for the clothes get dry
@streetglide84hog34 YEP, this is my issue. And if you Google this problem, it pops up everywhere. So again apparently it looks like it's an issue with this specific dryer 🙄
@ReneesSignature well that sucks, sorry to hear about that, dealing with things like that usually isn't fun.
What’s the point of eco dry then? Smh.
Thanks for watching Tiosha, the company has to put thing like that on their machines to use as selling features and make the government regulations happy. It is ridiculous.
@@Thomasappliance smh.
My dryer is not heating
I try to put normal dry and turn off the eco dry but it doesn't work, I just buy this set a month ago
Thanks for watching ivettelara, is the dryer not drying the clothes or is it not heating at all?
Mine is not heating at all, it showing cooling
@yusufmudashiru thanks for watching, that problem seems to be a very common thing, I'm looking into it to see what samsung is doing about it.
Mine skips from normal which is 42 minutes to 2 minutes
Has anyone ever had this issue before, let me know thanks
The sensor bars could be dirty, try using timed dry and see if it still does that.
Mine has no heat tried this still no heat pulled the heating unit and everything checks out clean unit only 3 yrs old???
Thanks for watching Craigcatlett, samsungs are really terrible for heater issues. If there is no heat it is usually always the heater blown or the thermal fuse blown.
@@Thomasappliance ok I'll check those I bypassed those because I was told if blown the dryer shouldn't turn on. Thanks for getting back
@craigcatlett1900 if the thermal fuse blows the machine will still run on most dryers but just no heat, if the heater blows it will still run but just no heat.
My Samsung is model DVE45R6300VA3 I'm a rookie with the multi meter I've taken the heater assembly and the thermostat and thermal fuse down to a mom and pop appliance shop where the owner who to me seems also to be a rookie with a meter says my parts have continuity. Then i compared ohm readings to new parts off his shelves. With not much confidence in either of our metering skills I felt my parts had to be shot and his dusty old parts were also. He said it's got to be the power board. I new the answer already when I asked if that was a part I could try out and return if it wasn't the problem which he said no. I didn't look to far into it but surprisingly did see some power board adds with what looked to be return policys?? I don't know but I'm feeling I might of lost this battle unless I figure out how fix the power board??
I bought a Samsung dryer 3 days ago and it wouldn’t dry so they replaced it but is not drying my clothes! Need advice 🙏
Thanks for watching sandraalvarado, is the machine heating at all?
@@Thomasappliance it does but very little it takes me 2 hrs to dry one load
Usually if a dryer is heating, the issue is in the venting. Run the dryer on timed dry and find the vent outside to check how much airflow your getting, it should be fairly strong.
@@Thomasappliancewhat if it is not heating
@FortniteFuel if its not heating at all the heater or one of the thermostats could be blown. Also check the breaker of the house to make sure it is still on.
Interesting I'll get back to u
I've been called out to a couple now, and its just an option they didn't know was on
@@Thomasappliance so it did work your the man thnx
@@Jondoesupreme thats awesome, thanks for watching!!
How do you turn the chime off? Thank you 😊
@@PinkPhox Thanks for watching PinkPhox. Every samsung dryer with a different console you can turn the sound off, but all different ways. Usually there is in small writing the word chime. Or music. Or sound and you hold the button for three seconds.
NOPE. Still not hot. Stuck in cooling mode.
If it is just cold air, you could have a blown heater, or thermostat.
My dryer has heat but it's not taking out the air. I already checked the filters and aluminum tube and it's all clean.
If your dryer is heating, but not drying clothes the problem is somewhere in the venting. Thanks for watching
Yo no le encuentro el eco dry a la mia 😢
Thanks for watching rosadelvillar, theres only this exact machine that has this button.
THANK YOU!!
Your very welcome!
Yeah but it's still stuck in cooling mode 😂
Thanks for watching ReneesSignature, if you turn off this button it will turn off the eco drying which is a much longer cycle and doesn't dry clothes very well at all.
@Thomasappliance NOPE, any cycle I turn mine to is still stuck in cooling mode. Apparently this is an issue on these models. Just got it yesterday, will be returning tomorrow.
@ReneesSignature I haven't heard that one yet, thanks for the heads up, hopefully it's not an ongoing issue with samsung
My machine is doing the exact same thing it won’t get off from cooling
Y O U R
Thanks for watching, and your right
Hello my dryer is skipping count what should zi do
Thanks for watching tiaralane, if you have the dryer set to sensor dry it can adjust the time shorter or longer depending on how dry it thinks the clothes are. If they are not dry venting can be an issue or you need to clean the sensor bars inside the dryer drum.
I can't get the Eco dry setting to turn off even after pressing the button for it
There's a lock display type of icon in blue displaying. How would I unlock it?
@hbeesims3243 the control might be locked.
@@hbeesims3243 There will be a button on the console that says lock or shows a lock symbol on it that you have to hold for 3 seconds.
I hate the new technology if i want to dry just DRY even i put it 50 times keep doing what i ask😐😐😐 i will return this crap and get a regular one without sensors and all that bs😐😐😐
Thanks for watching LagunaOba, yes that is exactly how most people in the industry feel too, adding this stuff makes it harder to fix and adds more that can and will go wrong.
Bullshit didn’t work cloths still wet brand new dryer
There are a lot of things that can affect the dryness, heat, air movement, and thermostats.
i have a samsung dryer and it dont have that💀
Thanks for watching gh0stc0ffee, most samsung dryers don't have that option, which I think is a good thing.
I AM not Samsung
Lol nice catch
Seriously?! 😒 Lol.
It's probably the worst update any company has made to their machines in a while
