Hi Shufflers. Dave from That There London. A really strong to my second fave SW album (behind Hand Cannot Erase). Particularly like the instrumental sections here, and some of these musicians I've seen play live with Steven. Yes, I agree with the Crimson and Squire influences.
You helped me down the Steven Wilson rabbit hole. Now Im obsessed with his music. No Man, Blackfield, Storm Corrosion, Porcupine Tree, Bass Communion. Can't get enough. He is a genius.
Great album of a great artist and musicologist. I mean.... The knowledge he has of music, is just amazing, check out his Album Years podcasts with his mate Tim Bowness. Steven Wilson is person who should only open his mouth sing when it good music. This alblum is not it. Signify stupid dream and sky moves sideways are only 3 alblums that relevant with him on it pt wise. The harmony codex is only solo alblum that matters and is best thing he opened his mouth on and sang on since signify the rest stuff he has done is irrelevant and garbage. He shoukd stick remastering alblums and being audio engineer he makes masterpiece once every 2 hair decades lol 😂
