So, with the desire to be reborn there is renewed being, with renewed being there is birth, with birth, there is aging, illness, sickness and death.

Pureland Buddhism is like Christianity - believing in “Other Power.” Christianity believes in a God through Jesus. Pureland believes in Amitabha Buddha to enter the Pureland. No matter how Pureland’s teachings are, it is still depending on other power. No difference with Christianity…we can explain until the cow comes home…still depend on other power.

Most people will leave their bodies before the moment of death. The body will continue its dying process without the soul but the soul will not be there. Thought and existence will also continue throughout the process. You will become a spectator.
