He wrote SA2. SEGA should have kept him writing new story games instead of hiring Happy Tree Friends during these years....Shiro san mentioned that he loved Black Knight so much as he thought it is a drastic improvement for Sonic's character
Man all the unused dialogue just shows that this was probably going to be one far more epic battle than what we got. It's still epic thematically, just... so easy :(
You can tell how similar Merlina and Sage are just from this video alone. Though I like still like Black Knight more, Frontiers Sonic is the closest to Black Knight Sonic and that’s a great thing.
The fact that both Erazure Djinn, King Arthur and Merlina had subtitles for their boss fight dialogue makes me question what went wrong with base Frontiers' The End boss fight, why weren't there subtitles(doubled with the fact that the original The End boss fight came out of nowhere)just a little critique though
The way the duo just get sick of the fight at the end sfter realizing dialogue won't get them anywhere was pretty cold... This whole fight was cold tbh
I'm afraid the first thing I promised myself after playing through Secret Rings is that I wouldn't play it again in many, many years. Although I guess it wouldn't be hard to rip the voice clips but without fighting those bosses again, I wouldn't know what goes where.
The Dark Queen does have a tail, so I'm guessing they considered giving her an attack with it and recorded this line for that purpose before changing their minds.

This is so cool. I really miss Shiro Maekawa, he really knocked it out of the park with this game

If she had a "tail attack" and if it was that devastating id assume it would be similar to when dark Gaia uses all of his arms to attack at once.

It is a shame that these dialogues are a bit trickier to get than the ones in other final leves of the series. Caliburn dialogues are very underrated.
