Morgan Laudarowicz Yeah. Especially since he used to be able to see. Being born blind is unfortunate but if you were able to see at one point in your life then you lose that ability that must be even more devistating.
Cool idea! They’d have to block them off though or just communicate through an earpiece and then do a big reveal. Otherwise, ya know... the artist would see their faces lol
I get what he meant but as a side note: when you have super hyperactive young kids sometimes you kinda do in a sinister way. Like when you say don't touch the stove and they do it anyway. Just a tiny part of you chuckles as you apply that neosporin band-aid.
TheTrueWalker scientest actually experimented something similar to what that guy said, in fact you can do what he just experienced by closing your eyes and wearing a blind fold but there should be conditions
Once when I was a child I was playing a game with a friend on a trampoline where one of us would shut our eyes and try to find the other person. I turned towards the sun and despite my eyes being shut I could sort of tell where he was from a 'shadow'. I know I have proper vision so it may not be the same, but I found that comment really interesting.
well you can see the shadow meaning you have a representation of what dark and light are, but he can't see anything (I presume) which is even weirder...
3:45 He may have actually seen his hand, the eclipse has a funny effect on shadows they become very very sharp so if he has light sensitivity he may have been able to differentiate the outline of his hand against the sun. I can imagine the sudden sharpness would have been nauseating since an increase in resolution would tell your brain either you just ingested poison or that you are swaying more than usual.
@@Sean_0109 No, staring at the sun like that is awful for your eyes, actually, it would permanently damage them after long exposure, so best not to do that. Even if they are blind, it's best they don't go staring directly into UV lighting lol
When he said he wishes he could see his wife's face I wondered what she looked like. Some quick research and she is very supportive of him. He is a great musician and she seems like a really nice lady who is great for him and his needs.
I just can't stop thinking that if you were born blind how do you explain the concept of seeing? I mean you are trying to describe a completely different sense. I mean I can see how over time with association and feeling different shapes you could pick up the concept but if I was born blind, as a child I would find the idea really confusing and overwhelming
If they are completely blind they would usually not be able to understand the concept of seeing accurately. There have been people that have regained sight after never having seen, but they are usually unable to fully understand the experience even then, and some have even had mental breakdowns or said they would rather go back to being bling because it can be so overwhelming to suddenly have so much new stimuli occurring at the same time. I appreciate blue shirt girl’s honesty. Like I never thought that someone would be fascinated by something like that but at the same time it makes perfect sense.

I was walking on campus, and a blind person was asking out loud if somebody could help. So I stopped, and he asked where the train station was. I said it was right in front of him, and offered to lead him there, then he says "I didn't ask for that." His response took me by surprise because he said it in a rude tone. Honestly, I’m pretty scared that I’ll end up going blind, and I think that’s why most people ask this question. I’m scared because I think the world is a beautiful looking place, nature is absolutely gorgeous, and I’d hate to have that taken away from me.
Everyone should want to see, we just don't realize how beautiful our world is. A lot of blind people wouldn't want to see again because blindness is all they've known.

Such an eye opening (sorry) video. It's actually really interesting to hear this perspective. I've worked a bit with foreign language education, and one thing that almost shattered my mind, was when I found out that dyslexia doesn't exist in Chinese. Like literally doesn't exist. Because the Chinese writing system is not based on an alphabet, but on characters, the cognitive processes for reading are different. So what I experienced were talented Chinese students, who had never had trouble reading, starting to learn English and suddenly becoming "disabled". I imagine it's a similar feeling for blind people - blindness is only a disability if the world makes it so.
watching this made me think that, it's the same for both blind people and people who can see. we are afraid of things we dont know. like we are afraid to lose our eyesight because we're scared that we wont know how to live in a state that we're not used to. and these blind people also said that they're also scared to be able to see because it's something they have no idea about. i find this facinating
the guy in the green shirt reminds me of this one young dancer from america’s got talent. but like an older version lol. i like the dancers name was Malici.
This is really fascinating. I am glad I found this channel, not only because it gives insight on blind people but I am also planning on writing a book with a first person point of view of a blind person so this is nice to have more personal information and stuff akin to that instead of just reading stuff about blindness. It will definitely help when I get to work on this.
Marxist Alpha but music is so beauuuutifuuuuuulllllll. i mean, yea, seeing would probably have more convenience and there is also scenic beauty, but i guess in my case, i'd rather go blind than lose music. i love music too much.
These videos are fucking me up! My mom and dad are both blind, and every one of these folks has said things that I've heard my parents say. My heart, y'all!
Omg the guy talking about his kids freaking broke my heart so much like so much crap people take for granted everyday it's ridiculous but honestly sometimes I think having a disability humbles you in ways people don't understand. And gives you patience with like and a different perspective and a life you wouldn't really want to change because that's your identity that's you I get it
my grandmother lived with my parents (and me) for decades. glaucoma caused her to be totally blind at about 30 years old so she was blind all the time i knew her. she was totally self-sufficient. she could recognize our breathing pattern or walking style before we came into a room and greeted us - always correctly. she listened to the news on the radio for hours each day and carried on intelligent conversations. she organized her closet by the texture of the fabric and knew what went w what and what was casual vs not. she cleaned the house; washed the dishes. my mother did the cooking but she would boil water for tea. i once asked her about her dreams since she hadn't seen for decades and she told be her dreams reflected what things looked like when she was sited. cars from the '30s, etc. i would be curious about the dreams of people who never had sight. she very rarely asked for help and got around the three level house w no difficulty - memorizing the position of each piece of furniture. when she fell and broke her him and eventually, at about the age of 90, had to be placed in a home where she would get care - the she had to go through an interview with a staff member to make sure her mind was sound. she was asked basic questions like what year is it, who is the president, where does she live, etc. after about three questions she said -"stop asking me these stupid questions - i know what is going on in the world - asked me questions that you need me to answer because you do not know the answer." wow! she lived in that home (hebrew home for the aged in the bronx) until she dies at 102. living with her gave me a real appreciation and respect for blindness. years later, as a leadership and team consultant i did pro bono work the the AFB - american foundation for the blind - founded by helen keller. my first meeting with the president of the afb was in keller's office with all her furniture and braille books . i was truly humbled. i met so many fantastic blind people there - smart, capable, funny, very normal. my only regret is that my grandmother never learned braille and was not alive to take advantage of all the benefits of today's technology like the apple watch and iphone, ipad, etc. nonetheless, she never complained and when i had friends over (i lived with her until college) after a few minutes they would lean over to me and ask me if my grandmother was blind - it was so natural to me that i didn't even think to mention it to my friend.
Fascinating. My mind has always been completely blown when thinking about people who were born blind. How do they even comprehend what it is to "see?" The people in this video keep saying the word "see," but what do they actually think "seeing" is? Or what is vision/sight in their minds? Absolutely fascinating and heartbreaking at the same time.
What tf are you talking about? Leo Joey.. Of course it is a shame that they have this disability, but that doesn´t stop people of what they are saying, if they are incorrect they are and we should call everybody out. Learn how to write a sentence where people understand, please otherwise it leads to confusion. But yes, being Blind is a part of their identity, when they became blind their identity changed.
Well, does it count when I am sleeping or close my eyes? If not no.. what kind of question is that? Fornwith Well you apparently did not listen I can´t get a new identity, just change it. What of my answer did you not understand?
I really like the two guys in the dark grey shirts - they are both so matter of fact and just explains things clearly and succinctly so you know where their stance is coming from. One says "I've never had usable vision" so you know right away where he's coming from. The same in the video on racism.

I am glad I found this channel, not only because it gives insight on blind people but I am also planning on writing a book with a first person point of view of a blind person so this is nice to have more personal information and stuff akin to that instead of just reading stuff about blindness. It will definitely help when I get to work on this.
Rather be deaf than blind
Hollie Mae ohhh no what is all about the great music? :0 a live without music seems impossible for me :D
Lol do you spend even 1% of your life listening to music? You spend almost every waking second seeing. No contest.
Marxist Alpha but music is so beauuuutifuuuuuulllllll. i mean, yea, seeing would probably have more convenience and there is also scenic beauty, but i guess in my case, i'd rather go blind than lose music. i love music too much.
agree :)
Even deaf people listen to Music. They feel the vibrations of the Beat
As a half blind kid I’d do anything to get my vision in my right eye and it’s weird bc ppl don’t understand how badly I want to see clearly
Please please feature Tommy Edison The Blind Film Critic. He is hilarious!
These videos are fucking me up! My mom and dad are both blind, and every one of these folks has said things that I've heard my parents say. My heart, y'all!
THE GUY IN LIGHT GREEN SHIRT SOUNDS JUST LIKE SPENCER FROM CRIMINAL MINDS!
Omg the guy talking about his kids freaking broke my heart so much like so much crap people take for granted everyday it's ridiculous but honestly sometimes I think having a disability humbles you in ways people don't understand. And gives you patience with like and a different perspective and a life you wouldn't really want to change because that's your identity that's you I get it
1:32 “I wish I could see my children’s tears” 😐
my grandmother lived with my parents (and me) for decades. glaucoma caused her to be totally blind at about 30 years old so she was blind all the time i knew her. she was totally self-sufficient. she could recognize our breathing pattern or walking style before we came into a room and greeted us - always correctly. she listened to the news on the radio for hours each day and carried on intelligent conversations. she organized her closet by the texture of the fabric and knew what went w what and what was casual vs not. she cleaned the house; washed the dishes. my mother did the cooking but she would boil water for tea.
i once asked her about her dreams since she hadn't seen for decades and she told be her dreams reflected what things looked like when she was sited. cars from the '30s, etc. i would be curious about the dreams of people who never had sight.
she very rarely asked for help and got around the three level house w no difficulty - memorizing the position of each piece of furniture.
when she fell and broke her him and eventually, at about the age of 90, had to be placed in a home where she would get care - the she had to go through an interview with a staff member to make sure her mind was sound. she was asked basic questions like what year is it, who is the president, where does she live, etc. after about three questions she said -"stop asking me these stupid questions - i know what is going on in the world - asked me questions that you need me to answer because you do not know the answer." wow! she lived in that home (hebrew home for the aged in the bronx) until she dies at 102.
living with her gave me a real appreciation and respect for blindness. years later, as a leadership and team consultant i did pro bono work the the AFB - american foundation for the blind - founded by helen keller. my first meeting with the president of the afb was in keller's office with all her furniture and braille books . i was truly humbled. i met so many fantastic blind people there - smart, capable, funny, very normal.
my only regret is that my grandmother never learned braille and was not alive to take advantage of all the benefits of today's technology like the apple watch and iphone, ipad, etc. nonetheless, she never complained and when i had friends over (i lived with her until college) after a few minutes they would lean over to me and ask me if my grandmother was blind - it was so natural to me that i didn't even think to mention it to my friend.
Mac Potts story 😭💛
I’m really enjoying this series, so good to learn how blind people feel things that
we all take for granted.
2:52 buh buh buh ur wife 😭😭😭 NOOO THERE NO HOPE💔
they sound so intelligent. I love every one of them
The guy with the green shirt should start a RUclips channel because I really like him. Like if you agree
CLICKED IT AS SOON AS I SAW THE WORD "BLIND" CAUSE YOU KNOW THE GUY IN THE GREEN SHIRT. HE'S HOT AF😍😍😍
"facepalm"
The guy with the glasses is the most honest and real!!
The first guy is cute
Karis Howsia well what about me?
YoungBlaze Of Chitown

2:09 I just drowned into tears how beautiful this reason was
I don't know why everybody hate the girl in blue, i actually likes her.
juste kevin Same, she seems fine.
She's rude
These people are probably more grateful then 90% of the world
You can´t fucking lose your identity, It changes gradually over time and therefore if she could see. Her identity would change she would not lose it.
Well done to you both.
Ever been blind? No? I can help you forge your new identity.
Well, does it count when I am sleeping or close my eyes? If not no.. what kind of question is that? Fornwith
Well you apparently did not listen I can´t get a new identity, just change it. What of my answer did you not understand?
I agree. I have Generalized anxiety disorder and it has nothing to do with my identity. Get rid of it!
major props to the single father!! he seems so nice and chill
Watch Cut! You guys should make a deaf people meet blind people video. Could be interesting
how would they even interact?
interpreter
I really like the two guys in the dark grey shirts - they are both so matter of fact and just explains things clearly and succinctly so you know where their stance is coming from.
One says "I've never had usable vision" so you know right away where he's coming from.
The same in the video on racism.
what blind people dream?????
Maria Mara they dream with sounds and smells and things like that. So they dream in the way they have contact with the world.
Woozie Woozer if you’ve never seen anything in your entire life, how could your brain create images in dreams?
@@oldarchival308 you do lol bcs you can’t create something u’ve never experienced
I wish I was apart of this... man... my story and answers would be straight and raw.. love this series
Uploads a video asking blind people what annoying questions they get asked.
Uploads a second video asking them if they wish they could see.
city and the problem with that is?
Hahaha
he had the girl of his dreams.. i shed a tear. ❤️
