This was on a demo board at my local Guitar Center, I had some time and played around with it. I thought this thing was easily like $150-180 so when I found out it was only $70 I couldn't stop myself from getting it right there and then
bro sameeee i’m just starting guitar and as i discovered distortion this was my actual first time tapping into that effect and i immediately was blown away so i had to buy it seeing that price and all my experience friends telling me that this would be a great first pedal
I’m not a huge distortion pedal guy. It does sound good. I found some of the budget distortion pedals are my favorites. The Stagg Blaxx metal is a good one.
I have a caline red devil. Specifically the claw mark version that was discontinued and I’d say it’s served me well. It’s the only pedal besides a gate I’ve purchased in 6 years. Edit: 30 bucks by the way.
I remember when Gamma would slip me some cash for walking around money like we were doing a shady deal so as not to alert the other family members…good times 😊
Appreciate the budget pedal demos, especially when running them into the power stage or FX return of an amp. For some reason when I run pedals I prefer them into a power amp of some kind and treat them as a preamp even if they aren't meant for that I don't know why.
It’s pretty good sounding especially for its price point. At certain eq settings though the mids just don’t sit right for me personally but I think on a budget it’s a decent option.
Just got it today for my band after considering a ds-1. It was too fun not to pick up for $50 after playing around with both a clean and slightly overdriven sound. So much clarity and punch without too much nasty digital high end like a metal zone. And obviously, more chug definition than an hm2. I was not paid for this endorsement.
I checked out your video when you tested out the Lichlaerm Gehenna 2.0 Distortion pedal. I'm now a proud owner of one and it has replaced my Friedman BE-OD distortion :) Thanks for the recommendation!
I’m usually an overdrive only player and I usually don’t like distortion pedals. The lower priced ones are usually one-trick ponies and because I’d use a distortion so rarely, I couldn’t justify spending the bank that the few I do kind of like cost. Enter the Gamma Hades. This is one distortion I do like. The Eq knobs actually do affect the tone, in a good way, and the resulting differences in the voicing makes for versatility in actual use. The pedal works with the amp rather than just dominating the amp’s natural voice. That’s kind of rare at the price point of this pedal. It looks like I’m going shopping.
Hey Kyle, I just got a Origin 5 combo and I have a 5150 od going in a behringer ultra metal with a couple eq too . Can you please do a review on this amp and show me what it needs to chug out and play metal?? I’m on a budget as I just had my third back surgery and I’m just getting bk to work thx man you are the best!
on the EVH and it's kinda reminiscent of the SLO Overdrive pedal, on the Power Stage with an overdrive it's more of a chunky scoop 90's metal and with an IR well it's not bad at all, it's suprisingly sounds more versatile than the chug pedal, you should do a shoutout of those pedals, cheers 😉
It sound like shit but then again i dont use distortion pedals just the distortion on a h&k with the selector pedal and a maxxon so that could be the reason to me it sounds like a metalzone(which sound decent when run trough the send and return)
Sounded pretty blah into the clean channel, but passable into the Powerstage. For the cost I'd just grab a Mooer Micro Preamp though or something better used.
Dude, I need this box! How many watts is it? Does it have a sweet spot? Is it transgender friendly? Would Dylan Mulvaney approve? Covid compatible? Can it get Eddy's "Smells like teen spirit" tone? Asking for a friend

Joyo is killing these. DemonFx too. You made this sound awesome Kyle!
Sounds great through the powerstage.

For the price, great tone and versatility
6:26 tone kinda sounds like and justice for all 🧐
My son just got one. When it's off, everything turns off. Can't figure why.
what's everyone's favorite distortion to put up front, I was a little shock, but in my chain the Wampler Dracarys nails it for me.

You're only going to get good high gain tones out of that thing using distortion/preamp. pedals, unfortunately!
Sounds badass and I like that you can run it in front of the amp 🤘😎🤘

How come no one plays this pedal through an actual gamma amp to see what it sounds like
I did in the store. Sounds like any other amp.
Have you reviewed the Evh iconic?
Very good sound through interface and IR
Where to buy this? Your links don’t take ya to the pedal
Is this pedal analog or digital?
That’s a nice distortion pedal wish I can find someone demoing a master effects super 400 pedal
Whats that open e sound is at 6:03 can someone tell me?
The Chugging? I believe thats what your asking about.
I wonder how it'll sound on the single rectifier you sold me. BTW thanks again a million definitely my favorite amp in my collection so far lol
Kyle has a new video, automatically liked.
Anyone know if this sounds good with bass
When you boosted and down tuned it, I felt that.

Sounds killer I'm getting one
Strong Metal Zone vibes.
Perfect pedal for me, when you start pushing the mids it fries out!
NO MIDS GANG
Scoopage for the win
sounds decent. and the price aint bad either
It's way better as a preamp, I guess.
Prefer my Joyo UZI and Darkflame
It's all heads and cabs
Honestly, that sounded really distortion pedal-y. Definitely well below the usual quality of tones that you get.
I will always defend "crunchy dad riffs" Dagnabbit!✌👍
Come on your not bad with clocks. I bet you have been clocked many times.
cool 👍👍👍👍
Pedal exelente, pra trash metal.

You need to see someone.
@@dreamsofcosmicoceans8105 yeah, about how awesome he is. Betas. Everywhere.
@@scottyscott1898 If you use "beta" as an insult, you sure as shit aren't alpha.
I got mine on sale at GC at $50.
