I've started watching your content less often as my focus has shifted to other games, but I will always tune into the Balatro Science videos. Something about seeing you play the game so well for 39 antes straight (or however long you can make it), giving your thoughts on the decisions you're making along the way, is just so satisfying to watch :3

I think with Mail-in Rebate being negative, joker slots being at a premium, and still needing lots of Tarot Cards to build the deck and help w/ Sixth Sense->Cryptid, it made more sense to maximize money from discarding purple seal cards than to try to build up hand size and converting the deck (too early) to gold+red seal cards. If this were a Perkeo run and you already had Cryptid being copied, then yeah, Mime and red+gold cards are the way to go.
professor is it worth it to hold onto DNA for the ante 16/24/32 bosses? with blueprint and brainstorm it will give you so much more handsize, or would an extra copy of mime/baron be better?
if you "rerolled a seed" yourself, then that sounds like you didn't start from the same seed… which is fine, but if so then you can't just blindly rely on his decisionmaking. Your run is gonna be different, and the general principles will probably help, but you'll have to win on your own. If you wanna "follow along" exactly, you'll have to enter the seed in the description before you start the run, and do everything EXACTLY as the video shows. Not every little detail matters, but it may not be clear which ones do, so best to be safe. Or yknow, explore, and look at different ways this seed plays out depending on what you do. he was manually rerolling so he just went for the one that showed up first. its _probably_ not going to matter that much, though it will be awkward if he doesnt find a blueprint because he will be unevenly copying baron/mime
The Fool copies your last Tarot card used. This means that if you’re patient enough, you can get a second money (Hermit, Temperance) or utility (Death, Strength, etc.) Tarot card. Moreover, consumables in your Consumables slot won’t appear in the shop, which can enable rather silly strategies.
