      It always tastes awesome, tempura just fixes some of the texture issues for some people. My favorite is in gumbo, but I will actually just cook that stuff and eat it directly.

    Any time I pick up a slug and then wash my hands I think that somebody, somewhere, has definitely used that as a personal lubricant and I have no idea if that’s a good idea

    • @pamelasmith7740
      @pamelasmith7740 10 месяцев назад

      Why would you pick up a slug more than once?
      I certainly don't hang or bring in laundry from a clothesline after dark in the summer time while barefoot anymore.
      You must tell me what wizardry you mastered to get that sticky nasty snot off your hands cause I liked to never got it off the bottom of my foot.
      It wouldn't wipe off in the grass.
      Wouldn't wipe off on the concrete.
      Had to heel walk through the house to the bathroom.
      Got my foot under the faucet in the tub and made it worse. Soap didn't help. Wash cloth didn't either. I couldn't even get it scraped off with my fingernails.
      It's been so long I can't remember how I finally got it off. Over forty years.
      Not long enough I'd forget I don't want no slug touching my skin ever again. 😅

      @@pamelasmith7740 sometimes it's just the most efficient way to move the slug, but yeah, washing for a long ol' time with hot, soapy water gets the job done for me. Though I'm now wondering if talc would help

    The way those plushies should work is: If you press one of them they wil say a number and the other plushies will hear this number so they can sync up and every number correspond to a podcast. if you press them, the number will be random so they will recite a random podcast, however they can listen to you too and if you want to listen to a specific podcast you can tell them the number of it, which is on a list that is given with the plushies.

    Nature can be weird and gross, but it's only because of our perspective as humans. If we were birds, we might think that fecal sacs are perfectly normal. And maybe even...uh....nutritious.

    Okay so I know that sperm plugs and the like are pretty heavily found on land, but I got to agree with Hank here that I bet if you looked hard enough you would find something equivalent in the ocean. It might be a bit more solid, or specifically really heavy on the spermicide side, but I would be willing to bet that if you looked long enough you would find an example. It might not be commonplace but I I can just about guarantee you that it's happened somewhere in that ocean. I suppose you know really it might be a semantics thing too because the ocean uses sperm packets a lot and I wonder if we don't really acknowledge their goopy nature to the extent that we probably should in some of those cases. We probably haven't even checked to see if they have like additional functionality beyond just the fertilization. Make have we forgotten that there are marine reptiles. Have we even looked at what marine reptiles do? Reptiles are real heavy on the sperm plugs.

    Why can't I eat jewelweed?
    I just wanna eat the flowers.
    And maybe the seeds.
    I haven't used jewelweed for anything but a stinging nettle emergency, instant relief.
    I checked several sources including USDA and found no information stating toxicity.
    I also spent way too much time gathering countless tiny orange blossoms to make a floral infusion or tea as some call it to be used to make jelly.
    I used only flowers for the tea.
    The method is pour 4 cups boiling water over as many flowers as you can get in a mason jar, let cool to room temperature then refrigerate or freeze.
    Having chiggars was bad enough, now you're telling me no jewelweed jelly.
    I googled til my eyes crossed and can't find out why you said don't eat it.

    • @Cocoanutty0
      @Cocoanutty0 9 месяцев назад +1

      This is all I could find: “Folks who are prone to kidney stones should probably avoid eating from the jewelweed plant because it contains high levels of oxalates - even after cooking.” It can also act as a laxative apparently, sometimes to a strong degree. So safe to eat but maybe not great.
