Jeb Watson YUP! If your In a Car... Tracks 4, 7 and 8... You can really feel it on the doors. (There are others as well, But that's what I memorized.).
Reminds me of when The Rev did the drum tracking for Almost Easy. He just sits down, absolutely fucking kills it. Then gets up and walks into the other room without any change in facial expression. Except for one smile to Matt while he was drumming
@BYnijssen i mean its kinda scary how similar brooks and the revs style in playing really is though. the grew up with almost exact same influences they even went to the same school im pretty sure
Holy fuck Brooks is amazing. Dude adds in a double stroke roll inside of a paradiddle roll groove. Drums are flawless on this album. Jimmy would be so happy to know that Brooks is his true successor
I don't know if it's intentional to add the Jimmy double ride bell bit at the end there but it is really sweet to think it's still in Ax7 songs. He really does feel like Jimmy's true spirit succession
+Mr Superstar XV Listen to it a few times and your opinion should definitely change, in case it wouldn't, then it's probably as simple as your taste for music is completely different than what A7X has created and that would leave me wondering what the hell you're doing here haha!
I just got it today after restraining myself from listening to it and it was well worth the wait. It's always a much better experience to have your first listen with the actual box and lyrics in your hands. So far, I really liked Higher, Sunny Disposition and Paradigm. I'm excluding the Stage because I'm already well acquainted with that song.
2:28. I love the drum pattern on this song! This whole album is fire! Yes, every song. May be their best yet. Somewhere in my top 2 with the self titled album that's for sure
Brooks is fascinating man, as a drummer myself I can't wrap my head around how he comes up with that shit and pull it off so flawlessly. He used to be so underrated (still kinda is) I'm glad he got into a more mainstream band
I don't know if anyone notices this but notice the similarities between Metallica bassists and A7X drummers. 1) Cliff Burton and The Rev= both were the perfect fit for their respective bands but gone to soon. 2) Les Claypool and Mike Portnoy= although both could have been a full-pledged member of Tallica and A7X respectively, they're just "too much" for the band 3) Jason Newsted and Arin Ilejay= both new kids on the block and was "held back" by their respective bands. We'll only realize how good they were when they're gone. 4) Rob Trujillo and Brooks Wackerman= both had plenty of experience and just flat out technical beasts on their instruments
@@onepunchman8649 and who gives a fuck who goes mainstream or not they are good bands who get 2, 000 views on there song and bands that get 2 million on there videos both can be great bands. It annoys the he'll out of me just shut up and listen to the music you love.
At the end it's like they are all just in AH of brooks' talent. They just sat back and admired what he did.. I think brooks is definitely who they needed to bring the spark and the drive back. Love em
Paradigm and Higher have the sickest drum beats in the album which makes them my Favorites and I love all the songs on this cd. Brooks is a goddamn beast.
This is fucking amazing! Paradigm is probably my favourite song from the new album although they're all absolutely great. Great stuff, I hope to see more of these videos. The new album is fantastic!
Eles deviam fazer um pequeno documentário da construção do álbum. Sempre é interessante para os fãs verem todo o processo para cada música, como tudo é realizado! 👊🏻✌🏻️
it's always cool to have an insight on the creative process. if you ever have the chance to collaborate with like minded individuals in a setting like this or anything please take it. it's one of the best feelings
Seeing M. Shadows with that Triforce phone case at 1:42 reminds me when I met him and the band when the album released. Him commenting on my Zelda hat was one of the coolest things ever, because I had no idea he liked the series. This song is in my top 5 of the album.
Bringing in Brooks is the next best thing to Rev. Hands down... Him being in this band has soooooo much connection to the old sound i soooooooooooooooooooo MISSED!!!!!!!!!!
You guys have the funnest and most real and laid back approach to writing music and composing albums.. God willing, I will help you guys musically one day in any way that I can!
If i was rich as fuck living in America i would ask if i could pay them so that i could i just chill with them and listen to their rehearsals, have a talk chill n' shit..
I would love the chance to just sit in a studio with them and see how they do their thing. they seem to have had the same approach hat I have with my band which is to just sit in a room and jam out I have written 2 songs like that and I'm very proud of that xD
It drives me crazy when people say Arin was a shit drummer. Yes brooks is godly on this and Arin probably wouldn't have been able to bring this creativity (which is why he parted ways with the band) but Arin was still good. Just cause the album he wrote in was a slower paced album doesn't mean he was bad. He was able to play all their old stuff perfectly fine so obviously he wasn't bad. He just had to write slower parts for the respected album he was in. It was a classic metal album people. The guys even said that they TOLD him to slow down because he was trying to add that Sevenfold drum flair that the rev had but the album didn't call for it. It would be terrible to have crazy drum fill after drum fill in a classic metal album. He did exactly what he was supposed to do and killed it. The guys in Sevenfold aren't stupid, they wouldn't have made him their drummer if he wasn't able to fill the current part. In the end though, really happy they went with brooks because, while Arin was great for the part, I do not think he would have been able to bring the kind of creativity that brooks did. Brooks is also more experienced and comes from a family of drummers so he also does fit Sevenfold more. But Arin was not a shit drummer. Not in the slightest.
You always surprise us with incredible and innovative songs. Paradigm is a fucking song among so many others on this album. Keep Rock guys!! All the best from Brasil. 🤘🏻🇧🇷🤘🏻
Drums are absolutely killer in this album.
Jeb Watson YUP! If your In a Car... Tracks 4, 7 and 8... You can really feel it on the doors.
(There are others as well, But that's what I memorized.).
it's because it's the bad religion drummer
I think the Stage is their worst album since they got big. But the drums ARE killer.
brooks is just amazing wow hands down
Yeah
He's amazing live too, I really like him so far.
Fuckin' shit man, I haven't been this stoked to play the drums since City of Evil probably
Jimmy would be proud
JustinProf97 100%
How does Brooks make it so easy? Dude is just sitting back there all relaxed without breaking a sweat 😂
High throne, low kit...causes you to have an erect spine, upper back a little hunched over.
Watch Matt Greiner too.
Best posture, hands down.
Luke Datema he's been on 20 albums as a drummer already
He has so much experience that’s why
John, Chuck, and Chad Wackerman may have also helped!
Love how brooks kills the drums so hard but has no face expression xD
He's just like The Rev :,)
Harlow. TALENT !!
Reminds me of when The Rev did the drum tracking for Almost Easy. He just sits down, absolutely fucking kills it. Then gets up and walks into the other room without any change in facial expression. Except for one smile to Matt while he was drumming
He’s kind of like Ringo Starr. He sits in the song with his own so he doesn’t really express, he just feels it
@BYnijssen i mean its kinda scary how similar brooks and the revs style in playing really is though. the grew up with almost exact same influences they even went to the same school im pretty sure
I could listen to those drums all day
How great is Brooks though!!!
What a great addition to the band, yes he is outstanding
Holy fuck Brooks is amazing. Dude adds in a double stroke roll inside of a paradiddle roll groove. Drums are flawless on this album. Jimmy would be so happy to know that Brooks is his true successor

@@Jepthaha, Yes it was intentional, was a homage. Brooks adimitted in a Drumeo's video recently

I wish they release more videos like this, It's so nice to watch my fav musicians
The drumming, groove and solo sections on this song are eargasmic.
Would love to see more videos from the studio, hopefully with gates recording some solos
and shadows screams
I love how the drums on this song are just banging away at the kit, nothing fancy. It fits the song
Never clicked a video so fast.

lol same. just got on youtube and seen it as the first video in my subs and like fuck yea!!

It's just like "come on it's been an hour"
your music got me through some really shitty times throughout my life. thank you A7X
The drum take their listening to @2:45 is way better than the album version! Really don't know why it didn't make to the album... that was perfect!
Bebetto TheNinjaDrummer fala bebettooooooo, poderia ser você lá! hahaha o cara meteu a pressão msm...
look who it is lol
youre absolutely right. they should have kept it. very groovy
But they're laugh at that. Maybe that's just don't fit for them.
Faça um cover disso betão
is incredible the way Brooks play making it seems so easy
Best album they ever made. Incredible, plz do it again guys. THANKS BROOKS!!
Thanks A7x for my Album of the Year. I never expected it and its so fun to listen.
The 'Exist' video better be 3 hours long :P Love it
oh god the drums sound sooo good. perfect fit for them i think, I love this album was very pleasantly surprised.
Damn Brooks just makes it look so effortless!
WHAT A SONG, new feel and the drum fill is so sick. also Matt vocal is awesome. love this song
I love A7X, I love the new album, and I love seeing studio videos and I love that beard Johnny. I can't wait to see more studio videos
avenged sevenfold thank you for making videos like this. Like the old days
Paradigm is easily one of my favorite songs in the new album. Hell, I love all of the new songs!

Glad that I'm not the only one who noticed that.. Also both bands were hated because they're mainstream and changed their genre..

They actually played together once (robert and brooks) for infectious grooves, brooks was like 15 bavk then
jason newsted was def held back, but his parts are still a lot harder than arin’s
I would love to see an hour or more of this Making of in the studio
Right at the end of the chorus, you can see Brooks do something very similar to The Rev's "double ride thing" from Almost Easy. Very cool!
At the end it's like they are all just in AH of brooks' talent. They just sat back and admired what he did.. I think brooks is definitely who they needed to bring the spark and the drive back. Love em

Paradigm is close but, the lyrics in Higher are something else.
Domenick boucher Yeah Higher is great too, I also liked God Damn, Angels and Sunny Disposition a lot. Well I like all the song on the album :D
Aki Koivunoksa lyrically, angels is the best. It gives so many feels and shows Matt's incredible vocal range as compared to other songs on the album.
Am I the only one who fucking loves Creating God?
Jake Moresea No sir, you definitely are not! It's fucking great :D
Well damn brooks that drum part in Paradigm looks like a fucking walk in the park for you im impressed

the rev influence 2:15

yes and no, one of the rev's big influences was brooks
where did you read that? lol
yeah brooks was respected. but the double foot/ride was a jimmy signature
Brooks said that Jimmy was one of his influences for this album
Brooks is such a beast in that instrument.
