You should be so proud of this project. Not only because it's stunning and a testament to your talent and creativity, but also because it's something you overcame. Not everyone would. Fantastic job-I am obsessed with every single detail.
😭😭😭😭 thank you! I actually can’t really believe I finished it! I usually just do a different project. But I will say you really do a learn a lot when you push through and finish something that you don’t think you can do. I’m pretty happy now😂 even though I was ready to delete RUclips and go into hiding a month ago hahaha
This is really good. I made a 1/6scale carousel 3 years ago. And kept running in to problems also. After around 3 months of hearing me cry and bitch. My lovely husband helped and made it electronic. And now it's on are mantle. Just to remind me to never give up. And that after 15 years of marriage was still work best as a team. you did an amazing job 🫶
That’s amazing 😭🥰 I love that!! I hope you guys have 15+ more years of happiness together! I definitely feel like I overcame my biggest crafting hurdle with this build so I’m happy 😆
I'm so glad it finally, eventually ended uo being what it is now, which is an awesome build! Good for you for trying to make it function. I haven't done it myself, but North of the Border uses Cosclay for bits that may snap off or need to be flexible like horns, capes, wings etc. It's a lot more forgiving than Super Sculpey. Phew! So glad this one is done and out for you. I have a project I've been working on somewhat secretly for 11 months or so. I'll be grateful once it's done and uploaded.
Wow. Props for sticking with it to the end!! I know I would have thrown ALL the tantrums and it would have literally been out the window before i was halfway. Very impressed 👍🎉
You did a really great job. About 30 years ago I wanted to make a carousel. I have 6 horses and the 2 wooden base. That was all I did. Don't think I will ever finish it.But I love your carousel.
Omg!! I didn’t think I would finish it. If I wasn’t doing RUclips I’d have given up on it 😂 so thank you for watching a giving me a reason to finish my projects! ❤️
That is amazing! It was quite an endeavor you took on. You were gone for so long 😪 I thought that you quit RUclips. I'm glad that you are back and with a fantastic merry-go-round. I know that you struggled with parts of it but you learned a lot. You sculptures of the animals are very well done. Now take a break and work on something that's not so complicated. 😊 Take care.
You are FABULOUS! Believe in yourself because only by testing and failures will you EVER be successful. You have accomplished and surmounted many hardships. I can tell great things will come to you .
The end result was worth it!!!! It feels so good to be done with a project like that where it fights you the whole time, but think of all the awesome stuff you learned and also any of those ""mistakes"" ended up giving such charm and life to the carousel~ i love the little animals!!!
@@missminilife i feel like it added a very unique sort of weathering that fit this project perfecly, like a dusty plaster residue had spread from old cracking carnival facades and sculptures, that then has subtly reactivated from moisture in the air and seeped into the cracks and crevaces. really cool effect
Koko! As you were sculpting her, I thought, that looks like Koko, then you put up the label. So great. This turned out amazing. I'm so glad you came back to RUclips, you were missed.
I've definitely been at the point of wanting to quit whatever I was working on before, mostly with cosplaying because it was a lot more difficult/ undoable than what I had anticipated.
The beginning when you said you wanted to slam it against the wall...I'm like that too when I get disappointed when things don't work out the way I want. I need to work on that haha
……. I mayyy have ….. torn up some papers that I purposely knew wouldn’t matter to much. But also luckily I’m more of a stress-cleaner so usually it all works out and I just get a clean floor and desk😂😂😂
i am new follower but i LOvE that you showed how difficult it was; the actual task which was difficult; your frustation and your resiliencd. EXCELLENT...10/10..❤
WELCOME BACK! WOW! WOW! WOW! This was worth waiting for! I'm glad you didn't quit. I'm reading through all of the comments and am so impressed by all of your fans and their words of encouragement. I know how difficult this build was for you, so I watched it 3 times through so I wouldn't miss anything. I was particularly fascinated by way you created the paintings around the carousel, the creation of the stencils and how you ended up using them around the paintings. Watching you create the antique look was fascinating. Loved seeing the creation of the animals - they are spectacular. I am awed by your diverse talents (the drawings before the sculpture) and the ingenuity and skills required to create such original projects! Thank you, Miss Minilife, for mentioning me in your video. I am a HUGE fan. You are so REAL - and I think that is one of the reasons that so many people relate to you. Well done...again and again and again.
Well😭…. I can’t put into words how much I appreciate your comments and support! I’m really excited from posting this video and I’m hoping to build up some momentum putting out a lot more now that I’m free from worrying about this specific project 😂🥰 Yes, I really have some of the best people leaving comments on my videos!! When I first started posting them I thought I’d get a lot of negative ones, but everyone is always really nice! thank you again❤️
Im so impressed by your tenacity to keep going especially when you had zero "stuffs" left to give about the project. It turned out so cool! Does it work perfectly? No, BUT it is incredibly charming and sweet and a thing of beauty that has totally captured our hearts. Well done, I look forward to whatever you come up with next. As for working on a project that seems to take forever? I worked out last night that the miniature mouse house room box project I am working on has taken me a full 6 months so far (Feels like a lifetime hahaha), but I am mere weeks away from finishing thank goodness...unless I think of more detail to add to it... Keep creating and dont ever stop being you!
This is amazing, I love all the animal sculpts and their little outfits. Glad you persevered with it, you always learn the most from the difficult projects!
I've been obsessed with carousels and miniatures since I was little so I got really excited when I saw this video pop up on my recommendeds. It turned out super cute and the paint job on the animals brought back memories of a porcelain figurine my mom had when i was a kid. I've been dying to make my own miniature carousel for years now but it's pretty intimidating. I made a mixed media painting of one back when I was in art school and had a blast working on it so someday I'll definitely get around to making an actual working model.
👍👍 this is so gorgeous! Beautiful result 😊👌 Awesome seeing the range of techniques too, the reusable moulding product I think I've seen it just called "blue stuff" if that helps anyone!
I had just found your channel like 6 months ago. I’ve been on the hunt for more POC artists and RUclips just doesn’t give us love. I enjoyed your content and I’m glad you’re back! ❤
I’m glad you completed this. I have several projects , not as complicated, sitting in a box on my workbench waiting to be completed. You did a marvelous job! Wonderful build!
I’m so sorry you had so many troubles with this project but I am so impressed and happy that you still managed to finish and produce such a beautiful carousel!

Of course, lots of life happened in that time, but still...you have to admire her ability to keep at it, and it's currently on display in a museum in Arizona. Quite an honor! How very elegant! I’m sure all the learning the hard way you grinded through on this project will pay off in future projects. A beautiful build in the end Miss Mini Life!
Every takedown restart I’ve learned something. I sort of figure it as part of learning. Almost every project I’ve done there a rip it out start again, rip it out partially start again. It is all about mindset. As a viewer we learn from your mistakes and learnings too. ❤ great job in not giving up!

Wow, what a sweet "little" gem! It's so beautiful and whimsical! I totally admire your amazing and versatile skills and of course your patience to stick with it to the end! Wish I had just a tiny fraction of your incredible skills! 😍🤩
Thank you that’s so kind!! I’m trying to build up more skills especially with all the RUclips side of things, like editing videos and stuff but I did a lot of failed build versions on this project before anything came together 🥰🥰🥰
Oh my word! I am so proud of you for persevering! The projects that we fight with the most tend to be the most satisfying. Now I know what not to do…..I appreciate you sharing this ride on the struggle-bus with us! So ambitious, and your curiosity is inspiring! Thank you.

This turned out so amazing! Honestly serious props for making the spinning and movement work because that is not easy! All of the detailing on the sides is so beautiful- I love the sort of washed-out antique look you ended up with, it fits a carousel so well. And the animals! Ugh so good, just absolutely stunning all around~

This looks great! So glad you decided to push through it. I think my facorite art videos are the ones where we get to see the challenges of the process as well as the result. Oh girl, you had problems but your filmography leveled up! Love the presentation, sorry the project gave you so much trouble but at the very least you made a really enjoyable video! Please don't stop now, shiz just getting good.
this turned out so well!! I usually just see the rusty dirty antique look, so I love that you went for something brighter. It makes the carousel feel cared for, like someone takes the time to clean it and just doesn’t have the ability to restore it fully so they do the best they can. Also, I totally get the “most difficult but also the most fun” thing!! I love a good challenge and I always come out the other side as a better artist/crafter/etc because of it 😊
I am absolutely in awe of the fact that you make every aspect of this design! I was expecting you to use toy animals for this. You even make your own molds! This is so beautiful and amazing!
Well done! It was an incredible challenge you took on, and I'd say it was ultimately successful. I can relate to the time it took you. I have a project that is taking more time then it should right now.
I think you're a little Carousel is amazing! I think the reason you were having so many problems with the chip board ramps is because chipboard is very textured. I suspect your stands were catching on them. You may try putting little strips of wax paper on them so that it has something very smooth to glide over and I think it would make a huge difference!
That’s a good idea! I hadn’t considered that, but it makes sense. I tried putting some clear packing take on the middle and it seemed to help a little too. I’m gonna go try the wax paper idea today!! Thank you 😁
I'm so glad you're back! And omg, with such a complicated build! The end result is truly amazing, and so are you for overcoming the struggles and persevering. It's so worth it! ❤
I haven't watched you before now but let me just say, this is the most amazing thing I've ever watched someone build. I love it so much. You should be so proud ❤
I think it is amazing and although it may be annoying to think about this right now, you undoubtedly learned a LOT that will come into play in future projects. I build dollhouses. They take a year before I can put all the parts together. Then comes what I call "fixing the f#$%^ ups." Just when you want to be done and stand back and admire, you have to problems solve and problem solve and problem solve. Aaaaaaaarrrrrrgggggg! So I really, Really, REALLY get it about your frustrations. Good for you for sticking with it.
You should be so proud of this project. Not only because it's stunning and a testament to your talent and creativity, but also because it's something you overcame. Not everyone would. Fantastic job-I am obsessed with every single detail.

😮😮😮 those hand sculpted animals though!! Amazing! BTW, your fur babies are simply adorable!
It turned out really cool. I would have been certifiable after a few of your difficulties lol.
I’m pretty sure I lost 2 sanity points during this project. 😂😂 whatever that means
Beautiful!
Glad to see you back 🎉
This is amazing
Thank you!
That is amazing!
So glad you persevered!!!! Love the carousel!!! 😊
Thanks!! 😁😁
@@missminilife you are welcome 🤗
Well done! It was an incredible challenge you took on, and I'd say it was ultimately successful. I can relate to the time it took you. I have a project that is taking more time then it should right now.
Good luck with your project!! Hang in there no matter what! And thank you!❤️
@@missminilife Thank you! You're awesome!
Such a great video! I wish you could have shared more of your process or failure and learning and taken us on that journey with you
Woooooooooooo…… yeah….. but……. Owell 😂😂 I was fighting for my life just to get out anything at all lol
Thank you 😁
@@missminilife You're welcome! Please let me know if it works I'm really curious now LOL just make sure it's slick side up 😊
I'm so glad you're back! And omg, with such a complicated build! The end result is truly amazing, and so are you for overcoming the struggles and persevering. It's so worth it! ❤
So cute ❤
Thank you 😁
It looks very cute and unique! The jittery movement reminds me of old stop motion animation which I think matches the whole project❤️
It does kind of feel like stop motion . I couldn’t think of what it reminded me of but that’s pretty true 😂❤️
Ooof I definitely relate now!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️ thank you
What a wonderful project! You did a fabulous job and I could see your struggle was real. Bravo for carrying on and not quitting.
Nice to see you. This was a really great project. Amazing job ❤
Nice to be back !!! Thank you!
The best carousel ever I think.
Thank you for your video. I also dream about making a carousel. I have started using an oatmeal box. Your creativity inspires me.
