I love how they made characters we loved from the old games like Ghost and Soap into real people and entertaining characters. The people who wrote and voiced them did a nice job.
During the betrayal, you can observe the subtle use of the vehicle's red light reflecting on Soap and Ghost while looking at Graves' direction. His name in the subtitles turned red as well; it also reflects their hostile demeanor towards Graves. While Graves has a cool color tone contrasting my previous take, it implies the unsympathetic, two-faced character that he is.
@@mikehawk8669 nah, he’s on point with this. Cinematography is a very under appreciated part of this campaign with the high budget cutscenes and the setting of these missions. Good stories can convey a characters emotions and/or thoughts without being explicit; the environment around them can help convey that, especially since Ghost is masked 24/7.
@@Deathmare235 tbf Graves tried to de-escalate the situation. His hand was forced when Alejandro retalitates because he took over his base and imprisoned the MSF.

But since he's not dead in this gaz and price are still rocking together, so putting soap and ghost as a duo was perfect absolutely loved it. But Graves was an amazing character I actually loved him even tho he stabbed us in the back he was still dope asl.

You get the impression that Ghost doesn't care much for Soap in the first mission and the way he always calls him Johnny but after "Alone" you can see he really cares about him
My guess is as the story continues Soap eventually becomes a leader. Because Ghost works alone, Soap will eventually be in a higher rank than Ghost. At the end scene where Ghost says “You called it” Showing Soap taking charge even though he is a Sergeant.
@@Erkaryos Yes, even though technically Enlisted Sergeants might have more experience on the field than Lieutenants, an Officer in the military out ranks any Enlisted soldier. Enlisted soldiers have their own ranking system and Officers have their own as well making it a bit confusing for some people who don’t understand the system. So even if it’s some newbie second Lieutenant, they still outrank all the enlisted soldiers hence why low ranking Officers get a lot of grief from soldiers who have much more experience.
@@__vx3 I’m in a different branch but it’s important to mention that those junior officers typically gain their respect by being open minded and learning from those senior enlisted rather than throwing their weight around and acting like they’re king shit. Yes, enlisted render obedience to orders given by officers but there’s a gray area. Most people who haven’t served wouldn’t know that.
Just even by the first interaction with Soap, I already knew I was gonna love Ghost a lot more. Very specific....
@@REDtheblazian but soap is senior to ghost
@@bhabhutiji1169 original trilogy yes, reboot no.
Ghost is so cold in the campaign, great campaign aswell
I really enjoyed the dialogue between characters in this campaign.
I love the dialogue choices they added to this game. Takes the mid mission banter to the next level 😂
" People you know can hurt you the most " That was a deep one
I think Ghost and Soaps relationship is so interesting, and the way they care for each-other, whether seen as friends or boyfriends, is something to admire.
I love how they made characters we loved from the old games like Ghost and Soap into real people and entertaining characters. The people who wrote and voiced them did a nice job.
“I wanna be like you when I grow up” hits hard after MW3s events
During the betrayal, you can observe the subtle use of the vehicle's red light reflecting on Soap and Ghost while looking at Graves' direction. His name in the subtitles turned red as well; it also reflects their hostile demeanor towards Graves. While Graves has a cool color tone contrasting my previous take, it implies the unsympathetic, two-faced character that he is.
He didn’t want to betray them hell he might even join them to take revenge in shepherd
bruh you're in too deep they're just lights
@@mikehawk8669 nah, he’s on point with this. Cinematography is a very under appreciated part of this campaign with the high budget cutscenes and the setting of these missions. Good stories can convey a characters emotions and/or thoughts without being explicit; the environment around them can help convey that, especially since Ghost is masked 24/7.
@@Deathmare235 why would he do that
He's a Mercenary he works for Shepherd
@@Deathmare235 tbf Graves tried to de-escalate the situation. His hand was forced when Alejandro retalitates because he took over his base and imprisoned the MSF.
I love the big brother/little brother dynamic these two have
"Open hearts and minds with it"
Gosh Ghost has a great sense of humour in that level 😂 Between that and the stealth, Alone has to be my favourite level
I like the chatting with Ghost. The lines are funny and make the characters feel more lively. Also, the subtitles changing colour when an ally betrays is really cool
Love how you can still see Soap's cheeky little smile when Ghost takes his mask off even though Soap's face is blurred by the camera focus.
soap : do you have a heart
ghost : a cold one
ghost is a true chad🥶
"Johnny, got company in the church and they're not here for forgiveness"
lmao i love this ghost!
Graves really is the typical American: is all tough until he opens his mouth 😂😂
Ghost was so fucking badass in the game. Love the dynamic with him and Soap
Like that one African warlord
Graves could walk the walk though wish he stayed an ally
@@zeothesnowwolf2937 he was a coward though
These guys are basically brothers, it's great and I never knew I needed this.
2:42 - that's why Ghost is the ultimate soldier
Yeah my boi didn’t even use a gun badass!!!
Being able to see ghost's eyes does a lot for reading his expressions. Like you can see the panic and urgency when he says "Go Johnny, get out of there!"
I love the dynamic of Ghost, Soap, Alejandro and Rodolfo. Like the build up of their relationship and trust really is what made this game the best for me. Captain Price and Gaz is definitely honorable mention it’s a father and son bond lol
I love this duo and it makes sense too since in the original soap and price got close cause of gazs death. But since he's not dead in this gaz and price are still rocking together, so putting soap and ghost as a duo was perfect absolutely loved it. Oh n finally we got some sweet sweet vengeance for task force 141 that felt amazing, was thinking one of them was gonna die in this glad they didn't. Wish Graves didn't betray them tho but I saw it coming cause of shadow company and all. But Graves was an amazing character I actually loved him even tho he stabbed us in the back he was still dope asl.
Soap was still close with him regardless of Gaz also Gaz is dead Kyle is meant to be his successor and Price already served with Soap and even Gaz before Kyle
@@Deathmare235 i quite dont get what you are saying i mean kyle and gaz are the same person..?
@@crownyrowny no Gaz is different from Kyle but Kyle becomes his successor
@@Deathmare235 Lol not at all. There's no other "Gaz" in this rebooted universe. Garrick is the only Gaz in MW2019 and MW2(2022), not a successor.
@@Deathmare235 you’re completely wrong this Kyle is the Gaz of this universe
Ghost and Soap’s dynamic in this game really reminded me Simon was an actual human being and not a fully stone cold soldier with minimal emotions
You get the impression that Ghost doesn't care much for Soap in the first mission and the way he always calls him Johnny but after "Alone" you can see he really cares about him
This makes me excited for MW3. Ghost, Soap, and Alejandro were the best parts about the campaign. I loved the chemistry and dynamic between them
Man the alone mission had so many good moments in it between ghost and soap
My guess is as the story continues Soap eventually becomes a leader. Because Ghost works alone, Soap will eventually be in a higher rank than Ghost. At the end scene where Ghost says “You called it” Showing Soap taking charge even though he is a Sergeant.
By mw3 Soap will be captain and maybe even Gaz can be an lt like his predecessor
@@Deathmare235 there wont be a mw3 acc. to dev tho
The actual best part is their introduction to Alejandro.
Soap: "Actually, I think he prefers-"
Ghost, visibly triggered: "THAT'LL DO."
I love how they come across as brothers at times
Ghost and Soap were in the same unit, he shocked because Soap is now a Sergeant while Ghost is still a lieutenant
how do ranks work? Ghost is still ranks high right?
@@Erkaryos yes
@@Erkaryos Yes, even though technically Enlisted Sergeants might have more experience on the field than Lieutenants, an Officer in the military out ranks any Enlisted soldier. Enlisted soldiers have their own ranking system and Officers have their own as well making it a bit confusing for some people who don’t understand the system. So even if it’s some newbie second Lieutenant, they still outrank all the enlisted soldiers hence why low ranking Officers get a lot of grief from soldiers who have much more experience.
@@memesouls8653 It's a running gag in the air force that Master Sergeants are the (un)official babysitters of new Second Lieutenants lol
"Be careful who you trust Sergeant, people you know can hurt you the most." strong as hell line
That mission "Alone" is fucking treasure. The fact you get to play as Soap again, and get Simon fucking Riley to guide you justs hits different.
"Good to see you again Simon"
Fucking goosebumps man
5:06 The foreshadowing 😭😭😭
This hits different after soaps death 😔
“Got company in the church and they’re not here for forgiveness” - Ghost ,💀😭😂
I like the part of this game that Soap's personality is more matched with his OG Journal (MW3).
Basically cod 4 but they kept mw2 Ghost
Throughout this campaign Ghost and Soap felt like brothers for some reason! Especially during the betrayal scene and the “Alone” mission
We we're always alone yeno
“You think I’ll live that long” “Probably not”
R.I.P. Soap
Just even by the first interaction with Soap, I already knew I was gonna love Ghost a lot more. Yea he was cool in the original mw2 but it’s always nice to actually flesh out a character and have them interact normally with other characters. And obviously he was hella cool in mw2019 but damn, this game officially made him my fav character in this game (Farrah was my fav in 2019) as well all time fav in Cod.
1:00 cool detail:when they ask soap his current state, he only responds when he gets up from the water.
Gaz does this in the amsterdam mission too
"You have a heart?" is the best response for that prompt
"Think I'll live that long? Probably not." Hits different now
ghost and soap are like the big brother kid brother duo.
The older one showing the little one the ropes on how to operate without a handler.
Love how Ghost call's Soup Johnny every now and then in the game just hope they stay alive in the new franchise series of MW now.
I love the chemistry between soap & ghost
"got company in the church, and they're not here for forgiveness" got so laugh of it. Nice one, Simon.
12:12 wonderful metallica reference
They made this ghost a 6’5 250lb Linebacker!
Ghost didn’t even pull out his gun he used a knife. My hero 💀💀💀💀💀
“What has two legs and bleeds?…. Half a dog” -Ghost
Ghost: Johnny,Johnny...
Soap: Yeah?
Ghost: eating sugar?
Soap: What the fu-
I have a bad feeling about this duo. I think the whole reason they made Soap greener and are trying to build a bond between them is for Ghost to die in the next MW and Soap to slowly evolve into the character he was in the original MW series. At least they should give Ghost a proper send off if i’m right
"Take off that mask"
"see my face?"
"Yes sir"
"Negative"
"are ya ugly?"
"Quite the opposite"
"I doubt that"
Skipped the best part.
The mission "Alone" really has the most amount of moments between Soap and Ghost even if they're just talking to each other in the comms.
"Half a dog" LOL coldest line Ghost's ever delivered.
Ghost : *johnny, got company in the church and they're not here for forgiveness*
In terms of favorite characters from the campaign it goes
Ghost
Soap
Alejandro
Rodolfo
Good acting from all of the voice actors on this one🔥🤘
Rodolfo should’ve died
@@Deathmare235 why?
What about price?
6:45 "One of us needs to survive to tell the tail." anyone else noticed this too XD
Yeah I wonder what it means..
I love how Graves' name goes from blue to red as soon as he says that Shepherd sends his regards, makes for a great "oh fuck" moment.
I find soap and ghost as besties 😅
They did have a little bonding during the Alone mission. I really enjoyed the dynamic they had throughout their missions.
