One thing I love about this game is that the DS version is an entirely different game with a different story. It's a metroidvania game about Spiderman and various other heroes and villains teaming up against a common enemy, with characters like Nightcrawler, the Green Goblin, and Black Cat all joining your side as you face down a greater foe together. It's unironically pretty decent, and nothing at all like it's counterparts
And that was back when X-men characters just casually popped up in Spiderman games like nbd. There's a particular _vibe_ about low-poly Spiderman and X-men chilling together
Can we talk about the hilarity of 4:15 Peter saying "BROCK. LOOK AT ME WHILE I TALK TO YOU." as Venom's collapsed on the ground recovering from the car that exploded in his face 1 second beforehand
My favorite part of this entire game is the fact that you can collect so many emblems and get so much swing speed to the point where the game starts DROPPING FRAMES
Can I just say that it is genuinely both impressive and uncanny of how quickly you can change your voice from feminine to masculine and then back to feminine again. My mind is blown to the point where there were several times where I thought someone joined in to voice the male characters
Thank you, editors and Penny, for always giving these highlights dedicated captions. As someone with ADHD, I sometimes struggle with understanding what's being said in videos. It's nice to also see captions to give context for character voices, inflection, and even the alternating/all caps to convey HOW it's being said. It's a shame that RUclips removed the Community Subtitles feature, because it allowed a lot more videos to actually have these. Not everyone has an audience with enough demand for custom captions to warrant hiring someone to do it, but if someone in the community wanted to make those captions in their spare time, they could. I swear, every time RUclips has a good feature, they scrap it because "not enough people were using it," and 9 times out of 10, it's because RUclips themselves did a crappy job of actually telling people that feature existed, or how to use it
my bilingual ass depends entirely on captions, even auto generated captions work for me, if a video has captions disabled i have to pray I don't mishear shit

If you’re Spider-Man for long enough, you *WILL* become absolutely shredded. So the idea that he also tries to stay in shape with web-dumbells is 100% believable to me.
I love this game, it's just dumb fun, the movement and combat are over the top and funny, and the story is just silly, and seeing tons of different Marvel heroes is cool
