@MrKeithStone Hi, Thanks for the question. The 289, 302 & the 351W will all use the same 6 bolt bellhousing therefore the T5 housing will bolt up. The 4sp styled shifter has the same threads as the 65-67 orig. The pigtail is an easy way to conect the back up light switch. It will connect to your factory harness and then plug directly onto the back up switch in the side of the trans.
Thanks for the comments. The kits offered are designed to work with the 86 to 93 Mustang T-5 Trans. The 94 and later have a longer input and would require a custom or modified crossmember.

Well hoping maybe you will know, my dad has a 67 mustang with manual transmission but has at the end of the housing some wires on the side that he has never seen. He cant find nothing on them and they are fried at the moment. Any info would help thanx.
I have a 56 Chevy with a T-10 4 speed in the car presently. I have purchased a T-5 Borg Warner transmission which has a tag #13-52-065-914. I have a chart that describes this came out of a 1984 Mustang 5.0L car. My question is: I have a Z-28 302 motor in my 56 will this trans bolt up to the 327 chevy bell housing? The T-5 has a 28 spline main shaft will I have to change the clutch? Will the tip of main shaft have to be cut in order for the trans to fit properly? The T-5 has a Yellow & Black tag that states " Use Decxron 11 ATF Only" which indicates it is a world class (WC) Transmission.
