    does using the pinky finger as a support when doing tremolo on the mandolin bad?

      Not to speak for Baron, but in my opinion as long as it doesn't slow you down it's not a bad technique. Everyone has different physiology and you have to find what works for you.

      I think it would slow you down. (I'm not an advanced player though, so I could be wrong.)
