First congratulations for receiving the Aspire Award Kate! You can be so proud being the youngest woman ever receiving this! Here in the Netherlands, farmers are protesting. Hundreds of tractors took to the road today to protest. There is a nitrogen problem here and the farmers are the victims. They have to drastically reduce their livestock, but that is not easy. By 2030, nitrogen emissions must be reduced by 50%. It is very complicated, if the farmers take further action, the supermarkets might be a bit emptier. Then everyone will notice. So you see how important ag is! Lots of greetings to you and family!
I've learned more about farming and ranching from your videos than from anywhere else. I've been more of a high tech person but now I'm interested in agriculture. You're a great interviewer, video editor, and an asset to the agriculture industry. Thanks, and keep up the good work!
That was quite an operation that you showed everyone Kate. You did a really nice job with your interviews, you are getting better all the time. Keep up the great work!
Thanks as Always Kate! You’re becoming very comfortable with your interview skills, passion for what you love, your videos each time climb up to the next level of awesomeness!!!! Proud of you Kate!!!
Greeting Kate, hope your harvesting is going as well as possible? The heat isn’t causing problems for y’all? Fire season is in full swing in Southern California, San Diego, and the boarder towns.
Very nice work, Kate! Looks and feels like a pro. Oh and Stephanie, my daughter, absolutely loves her bag. She has two small boys and uses a tote bag all day every day. The lighter color is perfect for summer. Thanks!
Kate, the combination of overview and interview was really well done this video. I'm excited to see you continue to develop as a filmmaker and farmer. Quite inspiring.

Good morning Kate. That was a wonderful video. I thought you did a real good job with your interviews. You asked good questions. You asked different questions when possible of the people. You kept them short and on point, being mindful of their time. Overall that was a well put together video of kinda what a bull auction is about. You should be very proud of that work you did, and bringing it all together. 🙂 I thought Mr. Shermune embodied what I thought a rancher is. A good hard working, down to earth and smart man. Great video, and really interesting to learn all about bulls. It looks like a great operation, and you did some fantastic interviews. Thank you so much.🙂🐮
Kate, you did another fine addition to last year's video at the bull sale. I am sure Part 2, will add to your viewer's learning about what it takes to get top dollar for a bull. I have great memories of going with my grandfather to cattle auctions. My grandfather learned from a young age, of how to read a bull from their walk. Was he looking at an animal that was well fed or not. He bought cattle when the price was done and sold them when the price was high. There were times when he came home with the same cattle he had taken to the auction. Because, that day they simply weren't bringing a good price. Thank you for another educational video and bringing back my memories with my grandfather. May God bless you and your family.
Kate, you earned and deserve all the wonderful and awesome word's of praise you receive. You continue to do an excellent job of explaining and educating Americans and people around the world on the American/North American (I don't want to let out any Canadian Farmer) ways of how our farm's operate. Everything you do helps everyone to learn and understand how food gets to our table. Take care and don't ever stop. You are an awesome credit to your generation. With young people like yourself, our country has a good chance of improving and moving forward to be a better country. Thank you. May God bless you and your family.

Hello Kate. That’s a big sale. I breed some Charolais bulls but those numbers are incredible for one breeder. Some of the biggest Charolais breeders here in Australia turn off about 150 - 180 bulls a year. They must have a hell of a heard of cows 🐄
Our farm maintained our herd for about 90 years. Son of Nu a black angus bull was our last before we sold the herd. We came home one evening and saw him in our front yard, He was almost like a pet. Our cattle stayed on a patch of virgin prairie with a lake. They came to the barn from time to time. We herded them with hand gestures and slow movements. Each summer we took them to mixed prairie and trees near the Missouri River and let them run wild on new grass. They ran to the pump for water each evening, and the association made it easy to haul them. After we sold the cattle we warned the new owners to drive them quietly and they would go anywhere they wanted. Unfortunately two men yelled and the lead cow bolted from the truck. 40 cattle stampeded and followed her into a tall corn field Many hid. The new owners brought reinforcements from town. We crossed the field about eight feet apart until we got all but one cow. She sneaked to the barn for water at night and remained free. She became a Moby Dick like quest as the farmer and his rope visited our barn at day break each day. The 84 year old man finally lassoed the cow and that adventure ended.
She flies airplanes drives big trucks drives combines drives tractors wrangle with cattle creates handbags totes. What else does this amazing person do. Good job with what you are doing 👏 👍 hope you have a great day
Don't turn your back ever on them there Bulls. Bull ranching is like horse ranching, very critical regarding gene's and whats best for the buck $. Great video seeing different point of views from other Bull Ranchers. Keep up the great work Kate.
318 it really is a science, I was in the FAA in high school and they sent me to a scholastic cattle judging contest here in Texas to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo many years ago as a teenager, I had to train and study for the cattle judging for weeks from my AG teacher, you would be amazed at all the things they have to teach you to select the best cattle, I actually placed in the top 10 of the contest out of 500 students, and won a calf for a prize. Looking back I am thankful my teacher really worked with us to get this science learned before the contest. It was fun, I encourage kids to join the FFA, you learn a lot in life, many things even Parliamentary Procedure and other great facts about Agribusiness, kids really learn a lot, but nothing like Kate is getting from actual farm work that is the best !

In pioneer days a cattle rancher in the Missouri River valley bragged his cattle produced so well because they wore green glasses. I n reality he divided his range into paddocks with pumpkins on the edges. Cattle graizzed in a few plots and moved to others as they ate most of the grass. Later they ate pumpkins and walked to central Iowa rail heads. They then rode trains to market in Chicago. I like watching auctioneers. We used to sell cattle and straw'
G,day Kate at Kate's Ag Farm to fashion from Sydney Australia. Unexpected: returning to the cattle yards and Auction. The bulls are attracting high prices $18K -32K "they deserve a hot soapy bath." Nice to see the Rancher from last year and "pick his brain about quality bull breeding (visual assessment). Looking forward to seeing you soon on Kate's Ag. 🤔🌏
Hello Kate I'm curious when you'll buy your first bull. Although the prices make me dizzy. For me, as a German speaker with a little knowledge of English, such an American auction sounds very difficult. The auctioneer speaks very fast and it sounds a bit funny too. But I know that it has a serious background! Only the animals look really good there! I really like what I saw in your video! Stefan
Hi Kate Great vid and very interesting to know the quality of bulls bread. Here in the UK Scotland we have 2 annual bull sales 1 in February and 1 October. They used to be called Perth bull sale, but now held in Stirling. I ask you to Google this and see the quality of bulls we have in comparison to the USA. Many thanks Kate for sharing, plz keep up all your amazing work. Take care
That was interesting about the Charolais Bull being able to make calving easier so the cow/calf operation is less work for the farmer. How many cows can be covered by a bull?
Well time for my Bill story , when I was 9 or 10 tried to help feeding our bull , the bull chased me around the pen and screaming my dad came to rescue me 😃

Thank you for your great story and wonderful kindness!!! I think that all breeds go through different phases when genetics are being improved, just like horses. It is very interesting.

@@KatesAg You know Kate I have the best kindness of all your viewers. Lol have a great day.
LOL! Thank you for your great story and kindness!!!
G,day Kate at Kate's Ag Farm to fashion from Sydney Australia.
Unexpected: returning to the cattle yards and Auction. The bulls are attracting high prices $18K -32K "they deserve a hot soapy bath."
Nice to see the Rancher from last year and "pick his brain about quality bull breeding (visual assessment).
Looking forward to seeing you soon on Kate's Ag.

Thank you for your great comment and wonderful kindness!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Kate
I'm curious when you'll buy your first bull.
Stefan
LOL! Thank you for your great comment and wonderful kindness!!!
It takes even native English speakers a while to understand an auctioneer.
Very good video kate.. Your a amazing person.. Bye

Hi Kate
Great vid and very interesting to know the quality of bulls bread. Take care
Thank you for your story and wonderful kindness!!
Awesome video. Really nice interviews.
Thank you for your terrific comment and amazing kindness!!!
That was interesting about the Charolais Bull being able to make calving easier so the cow/calf operation is less work for the farmer. How many cows can be covered by a bull?
Thank you for your great comment and kindness!!! I think it depends on the operation and terrain as far as how many can be covered.
Well time for my Bill story , when I was 9 or 10 tried to help feeding our bull , the bull chased me around the pen and screaming my dad came to rescue me 😃
