- In todays video I will show you how I get rid of those annoying Blurry Textures in Alan Wake 2. As soon as you finish the Watery Saga section the problem start all over again.

@@laptoptweakingtips it is pretty amazing device. All AAA games work!. Alan awake 2 is so Good in the device. The portability is really amazing you can play anywhere. This is more powerful than the steamdeck 😀 . Check some review if you plan to purchased the device , just a tip . Buy the R9-device.
Revision device. Because Previous device as sd card issue. . But it doesnt matter just reolace it with ssd 2tb and yoh good to go.
Do you have to have every settings at low and ssao off for this to work? Or does this work with any setting but just turning global illumination and SSR off and then on?
Toward the end of the game it becomes quite heavy, so I set everything to low, with ground clutter on high

I am on rtx 3050 4gb vram so ya I have the same vram. I don't think it's worth buying in this condition but I am really big remedy fan lol
I cant speak for texture popout, but i can tell you would get 5-15 fps extra with comparable settings
in the meantime why dont you download it from a quack site and see if its worth buying in its current state?

Wou this actually works on Rtx 3050ti 4gb, eventhough is not upto specs this video actually work and restore the texture to normal as long as you dont open the map to much! Thanks my guy!

In my particular case, it works 75% of the time but sometimes it is just about that 4gb is way to less memory for the kind of game this is, but is more playable even though my rtx 3050 can consistently run the game at 1080p in 45 fps with dlss in quality mode...so yeah thanks again!

@@TheSkyVip unlucky my guy, same here, for me works 75% of the time, but it's a hassle, so I just gave up and stop playing until I can upgrade my rig at some point in the future.

it does pretty well, i was locked to 30 fps but it was bearable, this texture glitch was the only issue

I play on quality fsr and high graphics and my textures pop out everytime i go into the mind place. What setting do i lower to not make it look like complete shit but still get it to run around 30 fps

@@jacque2874 bro playing on high settings on a gtx1650 will invariably lead to texture popout.
The minimum vram requirement is officially 6gb, so playing on high in a game that is notorious for this issue even on cards that fall within that requirement is a given
My recommendation is to play on moderate settings until watery section ends, then to set the settings according to this video and to fix texture popout as I suggest in this video when it occurs

The further you go in the game it doesn't work every time, but it helps
Also what helps is setting fsr to ultimate performance and then back to performance
I don't know when the texture pop out will get fixed officially, Control had the same problem back when it was released, will just wait for the complete edition (or GOTY Edition 😉) with all the DLC included and the technical/ graphical issues fixed.

They never fixed the issue on control, so not gonna expect them to fix it for this game as well

@@laptoptweakingtips oh yeah I remember this but you'd still have issues if you wanted to play with RT on. And Alan Wake 2 for me wasn't as constant with the texture issues as Control was. It would mostly only act up if I tried changing the graphics settings.
I notice this glitch or performance stutter happening often if I move from one area to the next running too fast 🙄 but also after a long gaming session even if for whatever reason i have to just pause the game and leave it on for an hour or something, the stutter happens, as if the memory is being consumed
Note: I'm playing on an RTX 4050, 140W laptop, so it seems not even a moderately newer GPU is safe from the ridiculous degradation

I have an RTX 3050 mobile and this method does not work for me :(
It works in the first few stages, but post Watery this method is hit and miss
The texture popout turns out is in the scaler ie dlss / fsr2
Once you disable that then there is no texture popout... But then the frames are tanked 🤦
Guys, the issue here is that your GPU VRAM is complete being run out. You need to lower your resolution on heavy GPU demanding areas. There's no trick around this.
i have laptop core 9¡ 12 generation nvidia rtx 3050 and 16 gb ram i have lag very slow lag in alan wake 2
With those specs the only reason could be too high settings and a vram limitation
Cos your CPU should be eating it alive
COMPLETE THE GAME, AND START WITH NEW DRAFT, NO TEXTURE ISSUES WHATEVER YOU DO
I'm more surprised that the game is running on a GTX 1650. Thought the minimum requirement is a card from the RTX 2000-Series because of the new mesh shaders Remedy is using. But ok, good for you.👍
Edit: Maybe the fact that cards older than RTX 2000s and RX6000s are officially not supported caused blurry surfaces in the first place.🤔

Trust me bro so am I. It's a struggle at times on my hardware. but it's such a great blend of story, horror, action, trippy shit etc as nauseum such an awesome game

@@0ThomasZane0 I played Alan Wake for like 2 hours back in 2015 but I wasn't really into gaming back then like I am now.
Control was pretty cool, but after finishing AW2 I replayed Control. Was so much better with all the new found context etc

Wow ty. I just switched down the render resolution to balanced and game runs really well and textures are much clearer now! I recently got an Acer Nitro 17 1 TB SSD, 16 gb ddr5 ram, Nvidia rtx 4050 6 gb, and amd ryzen 7735hs 3.2 ghz that can go up to 4.75 ghz w overclock. Tbh idk much about increasing performance on my system other than using the convenient Nitro button on the keyboard to change the performance setting. If anyone has some tips for me please comment. I wanna get the most I can outta this thing for Alan Wake 2 and all games

i5 13500hx + rtx 4050 varient of 2023 year
And this is unacceptable
I have tried everything
Tried all low setting + off (if any)
Tried all possible combos of settings (i am a science student so i know all possible combos)
But the texture of character and environment becomes blurry
This is one of the latest laptops and this issue exists
Vram isnt problem the truth is there is some mistake done from developer side
But i am okay if their friend company rockstar games launches GTA 6 and makes it run properly without this blur texture nonsense

How can i turn off dlss/fsr option ?
Change the resolution of the dlss or fsr to Native (in menu that have quality, balance or performance option) and it turns itself off.

@@laptoptweakingtips well yeah me and philodox make this. It's on nexus for now. But not anymore because of new update mess it up like crap. Regarding tweak I install vulkan mod that opens game on 8gb ram but 5 fps. Then philodox gamer take the charge and do some tweak in config file 📁 and changed layer of vulkan again with new type of vulkan. then send it to Edward gaming. (Popular RUclipsr benchmarks) . He combined it all and made it a mod using help of empress. (You know who empress is) I completed tlou on 8gb ram with 25 to 30 fps. Well better then nothing
