back when D&B Arena used to stream events all the time I remember an andy c set, think it was from new years 2000 or 01. Valve sound system and iirc andy opened with grimey into shake ur body. It blends beautifully. It was so loud though that it was making the needle jump on a lot of dubs even after fiddling. I really wish I had access to all of those old streams. Some amazing sets.
Every time I get some speakers/monitors (or fit some for a client), no matter what, no matter when, Grimey is at the top of the list to sound-check the gear. Whether it's some high-end ceiling speakers at a client, or a high-end soundbar, or simply some new bookshelfs or monitors for me. It's just 'that' tune. And been that tune since I first heard it at a Valve night. And thank god for the intro as you have time to reduce the volume in-case it's pumped up on the amp/app. Killer bit is when playing it, the client (that doesn't really know jungle/d'n'b in this form) is wondering what the hell the tune is, and is still wondering after it drops - and also realising that their brand spanking new speakers/soundbar are still sh*t. I tell them yep... it's just 'that' tune that exposes everything about the setup.
honestly this was the beginning of the end for dillinja. the early metalheadz stuff was amazing, the cybotron era stuff stripped it down for the dancefloor but the music was still quality and that held up til Picture On My Wall/Love Is True, probably the last really great release of that era, but then he dropped this and it was just a silly sounding tune with a silly sample but it kind of blew up because in the mess of a rave people could latch on to the vocal sample. i think dillinja just realised then oh i can just pump out sort of half baked cheese and sell more copies than i was selling when i was making the cybotron tracks.
@@leezus435 and? i still listen to silver blade, picture on my wall, angels fell etc semi regularly. ive never sat down and put this tune on in my life, its terrible. dillinja is worth the comment, not the tune.

the level of bass in mass was insane, you couldnt even put a bottle of beer down on a surface. valve was never rly the same in the bigger venues.
