For what it's worth, I think you'd pull off an SG really well haha
Haha thanks man I appreciate that!
I can honestly see him with a baritone sg
In 2015 I bought a Limited run Japan Jackson SLAT7 Archtop Soloist! This Guitar is so Beautiful and plays metal like a champ! Love it! Thank You Sweetwater! ❤️
Jackson rules
I agree ray, Floyd roses are so nice to play but the maintenance takes so much work
I just bought the SG Dark at the Wilmington Guitar Center. It's fucking rad. The Richlite fretboard is actually pretty nice. One of the guys at Guitar Center told me about your channel and that's how I found you.
I briefly bought the dark Cherry SG, it was sweet. Played amazing, liked the Super 57/classic 57 combo, did high gain well but also solid clean and low gain tones. Only reason I returned it is cause I found a Pelham blue SG special and I wanted to grab one of those since they’re being discontinued. I’d def try one out if you can.
I also didn’t love the black binding in person, it blended too much with the richlite fretboard, so the guitar looked like it had no binding at all. Also don’t apologize for looking at Les Pauls and SGs man, I love Gibsons and other classic guitars, always enjoying seeing them in your vids.
Watching your videos make me miss living back home in South Jersey….a little bit haha. I just picked up a Fender Strat Player Plus Tequila Sunrise the other day from AMS.
I remember when guitar center used to give you deals and they had a list sale where they opened early and you can get gear literally 95% off. They also had a wide array of gear....I miss those days.
The blacked out Les paul Dark you played in the store with the matching fret dots.....popped up at my guitar center as well as the SG Dark
I really think they killed it with that line of guitars
@@xanderraymondcharles not a terrible price either….I think $1200?
@@xanderraymondcharles not a terrible price either….I think $1200?
I wouldn't shy away from the Richlite Fretboard, it's really nice, and needs a LOT less conditioning. And it has the same density as Ebony, so yeah :) Don't shy away from it!
I have the Jackson Concept Series RR that was on the screen before you clicked on the soloist. Their Concept Series is similar to their Wildcard series but with simple finishes and EMGs/Bareknuckle rather than Fishman, those are the main differences that I’ve been able to pick out. The quality is top notch. Initially an exclusive for a UK guitar shop but I think Musicians Friend was able to get in on it as well. I’ve always been a Sweetwater guy but thought about buying this from the UK and having it shipped to me in CT, then saw the same one from Musicans Friend and made my first purchase ever from them with that Jackson RR.
Who hates GC? You buy something, two weeks later you decide it ain't for you, return it with no questions asked. Low on cash? They'll buy yer junk lol.
Have you ever been to Sweetwater actual guitar store in Fort Wayne Indiana. I have not my son went up their he said it's awesome.
ray is hilarious. good stuff man
Haha thanks so much 🤪
Sweetwater is more than a music store at the actual location they have also have their own recording studios.
I picked up a Schecter c-7 platinum on guitar center for Black Friday/ cyber Monday sale. Got the 15% off and saved $112 bucks. 🤘🏻
It'd be cool to eventually see a SG on the channel. I'm curious to see your opinion of them. It seems like people either love them or hate them lol
That Soloist has a member discount in when in the cart. It goes from 1799 to 1169. Thats damn good
im not a fan of relics either. my thought is why pay all this money for someone else to scratch my guitar up? haha like you've said in many vids the scratches and dings you put into it yourself is like a badge of honor.... those jackson slat7ht tho! 🔥also that epiphone custom lp for 600?!! 👌
I was bad. I bought an LTD KH3 on Sunday 15% off at GC. Love it though.
I'm finding I like older guitars better. I got a few new guitars with the big ass jumbo frets and they feel harder to play than just regular medium or whatever from the 80's and 90's
I actually really like the blue relic strat I love the way those custom shop relics look but 5 grand for one that looks like it’s been dragged through a ditch . I actually like the relic necks on the strats I think more than anything else . I just can’t see 2000 dollar Korean guitars when you can get an RG genesis for around 1000 . I know Ibanez isn’t for everyone nor relics are . The black back LP custom is cool looking . The gold top custom is sexy even if it is a refinish .
Another cool t-shirt, love bu
Super buu is my favorite villain
I love my Trad Pro V. If you don't like the dip switch stuff just replace all of the electronics :P I personally enjoy the options.
Country of Origin was mistaken by the data entry operator as the location from where the guitar is shipping instead of where it was born.
Korean Jackson is basically an LTD probably made in the same factory too
Man… that’s such a badass shirt!!
Hey thanks so much!
Dude ive never seen those korean made jacksons, looking sick
Neither have I! They’re pretty rad. Caught me off guard
It is way outta my budget but I'd like that silverburst Jackson T style guitar if it was a string through or hardtail. I don't get the hate for Guitar Center because sometimes the website has some amazing deals on it in the used section. The local shop here in town does not allow trade in's. As much as I trade around......that is a turn off.
Got me a tempest recently…yup yup that guitar should be wayyyyy more popular
People don’t like guitar center not because they don’t have good stuff but that they treat people poorly. I just ordered an sm57 with some cables and a stand and everything but the mic arrived so I call customer service and they basically tell me to go fuck myself. So I call back a few days later and now they are having someone look at it and I should hear from them by next Tuesday about what to do. They already have my money mind you and it’s already been a week. The only reason they even kind of believe me is that I have an extensive purchase history. Terrible.
The prices of guitars these days is absolutely brutal. I’m Canadian so I’m adding a few hundred bucks to all the prices you’re looking at and I just can’t even understand who guitars are aimed at these days certainly not up and coming musicians.
the payment plans help. Ive got a usa made Gibson SG and an american strat thanks to layaway
@@Ottophil yeah I’m with you on that. I’ve thought before if I ever want a Gibson or an American strat I’d have to do the payment plan route.
@@LicksoftheLegend ive been shopping at the same local music shop since the 90’s so those guys will let me put something on layaway forever as long as I’m making regular payments. Ive got nice amps the same way too. Twin reverb and a 6505 half stack. I’m not super rich. But I am patient when it comes to gear I have tastes far above my income level. So ill never be able to impusle spend 2 grand, however, if I plan and save carefully, i Might be able to in a year
Are you in Wilmington NC? Not too far from me (Fayetteville)
I like this, cool idea
Thanks bro!
i have been dying to see you getting a jackson and shred it
I definitely get not needing the push-pull pots on your instrument; if that functionality isn't useful for your playing style, there's no need to seek it out. However, I'm a bit less clear why the presence of push-pull pots would cause someone to avoid buying a guitar they otherwise like. If you don't use any of the push-pull functions, that Les Paul will function just like any other Les Paul. The push-pull stuff's still there in case you ever get into a new style of music that it would be useful for, but it's completely out of the way otherwise.
TBH, I just never understood that perspective aside from the possible effect the push-pull pots and splittable/tappable pickups might have on price. I guess I just get weirded out when someone sees that a guitar has push-pull pots, coil splitting, coil tapping, or the like, and rejects it outright without even checking out how it sounds when none of the extras are engaged.
Ray has a killer shirt collection
Sg's are the shit straight up. There is a 6 string bass I believe it's the gibson eb6 it was made in the 70's it's basically a baritone you would need to do more research to make sure I'm right, I'm not 100% sure but the bass/ guitar does exist saw one and thought of you
Dude, an SG would look great on you.
Haha thanks homie
Nice Dragon Ball Z shirt! 👍
Hey thanks so much!
Idk if you’ve ever told us, but what made you start learning/ how did you start learning guitar? :)
I agree Here is 3k for a new guitar ...can you fuck it up some please? No thank you! I will dent it up myself! Thanks anyway!
Haha yeah exactly. I’m personally really good at denying my guitars haha
You are an SG in human form.
Haha is that good? 🤪
Them Jackson's man love all them
You love guitars like I love cabs. 🤘🤘❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
you should get an sg! they rule
Yeahhhh I’m thinking I need to at least document one on the channel
Check out the Ibanez 8 string if you like f sharp and low tuned ugly then its your thing bro🤘
Relicing is cheating …break in ur own shit …great work as always
I agree. Thanks so much!
@@xanderraymondcharles just got an American pro 2 yesturday it’s so sweet I plan to play the shit of it what ever “relicking” happens will be by hands and that’s awesome ..ur a great inspiration Ray u have helped make many many decisions on gear never stop much appreciated !!
i own 2 10s guitars a strat and a tele and they are legit , at least mine are great , i changed the pickups and they sound fantastic
Ray, you need to check out the Jackson rob caggianno
Dude it’s right up your alley, and you’ll love the color
I'd love sg man and any Les Paul Gibson bro
should check out the Monarch from Jackson...
Hi ray how are you doing
Hey I’m doing well! How are you?!
@@xanderraymondcharles I’m doing amazing
I don't even play guitar, in fact, I just sold my Epiphone EB-3 bass. I've always just loved guitars and their craftmanship.
Am I the only ones who hates the Jackson typical angled Jackson headstock? No hate if you like ‘em tho, I just hate it lmao
There are $500.00 gutitars for sale that are just as good as these or better!,.✨
Do you own a solar ?
My new Jackson was made in Korea. Swamp ash modern 6
Ray you need a Jackson!
✌
🙌🙌🙌🙌
I have never been a metal guitar guy . I find that the necks for some metal branded guitars are just to thin for my liking personally. Like Ibanez guitar necks are super thin for some brands same with Schecter guitars just too thin for my liking. I need some sort of variation of some type of thickness.

These guitar store tour videos are making me lose interest in this channel.
What would you like to see more of? Because the gear demos haven’t slowed down, I just now upload on a daily basis. Thanks for the input!
@@xanderraymondcharles first of all, I love you man . I'd much rather watch you play , go over some technique. Maybe some studio work and your process of recording . You do all of this stuff already but it's SO much more interesting than cruising around a guitar centre.
Hey pro tip: when you see one, don't click on it.
@@Jeff_HellensBridge I’ll keep that in mind next time we’re scrolling through the guitar Center catalogue again .
I actually enjoy those videos the most lol
relic-ing is friggin stupid,,,, please beat up my brand new guitar- whats next? relic Corvette with pre-cracked fiberglass and one headlight?? duh
