I’ve been playing for 20 years and the feeling that I still get walking into a guitar shop is the same. Excited and knowing that I’ll play a couple of guitars I would never be able to afford, a little mischievous.
I was at one yesterday and played a red Gibson Les Paul classic, had that same feeling lol

Yea same, 30 years of playing, in my mid 40's and every month at my guitar store I turn into a drooling 10 year old.
I've been playing for 13 years and I still get hyped and super excited its like eye candy but with guitars

Ola did the same for me through one of my major depressive periods. I suffer constantly and often. Currently in a good place. Awful to hear when people are down. Really hope the best for you.
Ill make a suggestion. I suffered from depression for yrs as well. I tried every SSRI pill they make and all of them made it worse until I heard about a drug called Lamotragine. Its not an anti-depressent. Its actually an anti seizure med. But it has an "off label" use for depression. Its the only drug that has taken away my depression 95%. I have one or two bouts of depression a yr for maybe a day or two and thats it. Its dirt cheap. Under $10 for 30 of them and it has zero side affects.. Ask your Dr about it.. Those SSRI or ant psychotics are the worst thing you can take..
Your not alone man. Just surround yourself with people that love you and has your best interest. And don't be quite about it. Hope all is well, and don't forget you matter ✌

I have Pick pouch on my key-chain loaded, so I'm prepared. I also bring a tuner. My local Phoenix,AZ Guitar Center never tunes their guitars,lol.

I recently bought one of those Guitar Center exclusive Player Strats in black with the black pickguard. It’s a cheap way to get those David Gilmour strat vibes but not have to sell your soul to get it! It has the three single coils but I’m gonna put a Dimarzio fast track 2 in the bridge to make it better for heavier music. I just saw in your video that they had like three of them hanging up.

I’m really digging the vlogs you’ve been doing, I hope you keep it up! The guitar center tour has been fun. It’s nice seeing the guitar centers in the area that I haven’t hit in a few years. Plymouth meeting was my old local GC and now it’s the Oxford valley one, but it isn’t as stocked as the others you have hit.
Congrats on the Victory gig man! Really enjoying the vlog-style stuff. It reminds me of the hunts that channels like “The House of Masks” go on but for Halloween stuff.

When I lived in Norristown, that was the GC I loved.
Absolutely love all your videos but these are especially cool. Just love watching you and your positivity no matter what you do! We need more of that in today's world. Dude we literally grew up in the same area! I grew up in sellersville! Plymouth meeting was my “local” guitar center too as you said how there aren’t guitar centers very close by to sellersville

My local guitar center had a Friedman BE 100, and a Peavey Buda 2x12 100 its a hit and miss sometimes, but you can find some killer deals.
Ray I also use the JP signature Dunlop picks. In all my many years of playing they’re probably the best picks I’ve ever used!

Do you remember guitar villa on 309 in quakertown? It’s since been torn down but I got my first Gibson from there years ago. There were also a few little shops that came and went from Qmart.

Yeah Quakertown is the sticks but I live 15 min south west of there and it's even more sticks then there.
My family lives about 30.miles from Union town. I heard they have a nice music store.
Duuuude! If your able to you should totally check out the guitar center at the Lehigh valley mall! It’s a bit longer of a drive but it’s in whitehall near the allentown Bethlehem area

Dude you're in Delco, you're driving down Edgemont Avenue, you're about to get on the Route 1 bypass to hit the blue route, you're in Delco!! That is awesome a local boy, the next time you're up at the Plymouth Meeting Guitar Center ask them about when Limp Bizkit held auditions for when Wes Borland left also if you're from the Brookhaven Elwyn area take a ride up to Springfield which is 5 minutes away and check out a guitar store called George's Music

From the Harrisburg area, well Gettysburg, the Harrisburg Guitar Center is just like that one you were just in. The Lancaster GC is closer to the Delaware one you go to. The Guitar Centers just over the border in Maryland are massive compared to any of these. Stay safe enjoy the trip......

Man Quakertown is not the sticks of PA. You should go to North Central PA. There are places that don't have a GC within 2 hours.
Hey Ray, if you want to travel further to a PA GC, Lancaster's store is awesome but avoid the Harrisburg store (I'm from there). The Harrisburg store has pretty much nothing, they rarely stock anything new and just isn't worth the trip from anyone out of town. The Lancaster store is definitely worth trip, however. Rock on, my fellow Keystoner.

Making me home sick again, Harrisburg next? when you run out of Guitar Centers around you There used to be some good smaller chain/Mom and pops in Delco, Chester County, Bucks etc. fun fact: the 22 miles of the Blue route from MacDade Blvd to Plymouth Meeting took longer to build than the 1,900 miles of Interstate 95 from Miami FL to Maine
Man you guitar centers are so much better than the Houston, Texas stores. We barely have any good pedal displays. But yeah appreciate the vids man keep doing what you do.

So recently around a month ago just went to guitar center to chill picked an ltd black metal v and starring me down was something unbelievable really alone of a kind in my eye sure it's nothing I thought the more I Jammed out the more overwhelmed it became one last stare it became clear to me oh shit an ormsby metal v satin black 7 string a bit out of my price range but I had to have it not even a week later just curious I went back with a little cash and that v is now mine 🔥🤣

Ray did you ever get to shops in Reading or Allentown? Reading used to have a few. There was a good one a very short distance from the Berkshire Mall on State Hill road. But that was 25 years ago now. And Penn Ave is still there afaik.
I literally can't keep a JP pick in my hand for more than 30 seconds. There is zero grip. I use the max grip jazz 3's.

Max grips are too tiny for me, I use the Andy James flow or the big stubby's for playing and never drop the pick
