      +andrew reed Yes, you can let your imagination go wild.. Tandem style, 10cms long! How about layers of different coloured deer hair.. white, green black? :)

    Thoroughly enjoyed the video, thanks. I've been playing with some home made tools recently which I have made to try to create some shrimp effect flies for our holiday, i did ok in a little greek harbour last year reeling tiny bits of squid on size 10 hooks across the tips of the weed so time to try something else. Not very good flies yet but need some better materials. It would be good to have an idea about how flies are used in terms of on or under the surface, salt and freshwater etc. Many thanks, David.

    Thanks for this great video. I have question, why you modeled the perch sideway?
    I thought that the hook must pointing downwards.

      Because a dead fish invariably blows up with decomposition gases ,rigor mortis sets in as a curve and the dead fish will float on the surface on its side.
