Your car window trick works on knives too. I do that fairly often if I’m out in the field and find my pocket knife isn’t quite razor sharp anymore. Same as you said, it won’t sharpen a dull knife, but it will hone a sharp edge back to a hair popping edge. Bottom of a ceramic coffee cup as well. Same deal.
Man!! I was going to talk about brushes but was going to use it on a brush diy video instead. Good one!! Appreciate the comment and thanks for watching 👊
Great hacks. Really liked the videos you have put out the last couple of weeks. Your presentation and content seems to be flowing better. Maybe you are more confident and comfortable . Keep it up. Old Chief, Texas
I think when you’re going your honing trick, you want to run the blade backwards on the glass, that way you won’t fold over the edge and it should straighten out better
I understand what you’re saying, hear me out why….Do it this way and then turn it over and do the exact same amount of strokes in the opposite direction. That way the edge hones perfectly back on. Not trying to pull rank but as a woodworker of over 30 years. I have sharpened a lot of tools and knives. This method will get you on the money everytime guaranteed 🤘

Yup! I Do it for my knives before I filet fish! Never tried the coffee cup. Thanks for the tip
Very cool video. I use my drill to make dubbing brushes, and i am now gonna do the same with that mono thread on an empty spool. Thanks for sharing!

No problem! Thank you for watching
Does this work for scissors with serrated blades?
Unfortunately not.

I prefer a whetstone & strop for sharpening knives & scissors
Nice! It was a hack for honing but a shapton would do wonders in the right hands
What if you do not have a car then what
Use your truck hahaha!! Nah, just use a kitchen knife hone or a hardened screwdriver(not the best but does work)
Great hack, i just paid £30k for a scissor sharpener 😂
No way!! It might still be useful if you need to do a complete grind and bevel.
