I'm chronically ill, watching these videos from bed. I've been housebound for 5 years and I have no answers on how to get better. BUT you have me inspired to think "what if...". Thank you!
Very well done. I love the cringe-worthy parts of trying so hard to make friends the first few days. Takes me back to when I began... but coming in as a section hiker in following years, I never felt that burden. An interesting transition looking back on it. Either way, awesome series. Lookin' forward to more.
Well shit. I guess I know what I’m doing with the rest of my day now... thank you for making these incredible films and allowing us who cannot take the time to explore to do so through your journey 🙏🏻
your electronics bag was “lodged behind a fridge,” and you couldn’t film for days. wow. reading between the lines. mind blown. you are so kind and wise to not speak on that tidbit.
Stumbled across your article in some tramping magazine about your hike and your 'It is the people' video, while I was in a Ruahine hut last week on a solo hunting mission. So I wrote it down on my phone to watch when I got back out to civilization and I'm glad I did, was a brilliant watch and now I'm starting from the start to watch the series! Love it, Cheers 👍
Haha, I have never clicked on a video this fast! I am so excited about this series! I am also amazed that you don't have (even) more subscribers (yet) because your videos are so well made. I want to do this hike so bad, but for now, I am fine with following others doing it and dreaming about my own future adventures. I hope the post-trail life is treating you well :D
Subscribed. Can't wait to follow your story. Kudos to Doggy Bag for doing that. Thanks guy, just in case the real owner didn't remove it himself, that's one less bag left behind.
Your videos gave me major wanderlust and now my heart longs for a trail I've never stepped foot on. Your videos are magical and now I know what I'm doing as soon as I return to the US
Found your content yesterday and I really enjoy your style of filming and editing, super excited to see your journey and PCT footage! ~From a fellow PB lover
you really nailed the music in this series. which is almost as hard as doing the PCT lol. This looks really frightening to me, doing the PCT for four months straight in the wilderness, but if things work out, maybe i'll give it a shot sometime in my life.
Super happy I found this channel. I'm stoked to see the next episode. You said in one of your videos that you got the idea to hike the PCT around the end of November. Now, you got me thinking if I should do the PCT in 2020 haha! Who knows :D Thank you for creating this extraordinary content!
After watching this I really hope people have been inspired by these hosts and have picked up where they left off because it seems like a majority of this trail this year was the year people stopped hosting. And especially with Covid I’m sure it’s been a factor thought I hope 2021 brings us new hope!
wow, i’m looking forward to see the whole journey! I liked every video you’ve made so far, your personality, the story behind the trail the cinematography 👌 I wish i was this talented 😂
Dude, you are sick!!! Beautiful people. I just did a 50 mile hike (all done in one day) with many brothers in California for veterans weekend. That Was painful. But seeing your accomplishment hear makes me crave the pain again for adventure!!
I just stumbled upon your videos this week and am absolutely obsessed. Story-telling and editing is amazing. Can't wait for all the PCT videos to come! (Also, can't believe you went up with camera gear? Mad props for the extra weight!)
Wow Ive watched most of your other videos too! looking to hike the PCT this season - hopefully there is something else like Scout and Frodo's for hikers?
I think you’re an amazing young lady and putting out great videos. As a fellow Hapa who can eat Japanese curry 7days a week and a big yes for peanut butter Thank you for sharing your life experience 😉Take care of those ankles!
To Scout and Frodo: you never know what an act of kindness will do for someone.
Unfortunately they are retiring now...will there be other trail angels in 2021 as I'm planning it.
He has a new book out plus 2 others on Amazon Journeys North: The Pacific Crest Trail

Doggy bag story was funny AF!
Subscribed because of the epic Mulan reference.
please make a video about the equipment that you used on the pct, backpack, tent, those things...
Great storytelling start. OK, I'll bite. Besides, it's a long, dark winter here in Oregon near Mt Hood and this sounds entertaining. 👍 Hike on!
I think you’re an amazing young lady and putting out great videos. As a fellow Hapa who can eat Japanese curry 7days a week and a big yes for peanut butter Thank you for sharing your life experience 😉Take care of those ankles!
That Mulan reference 😬👍🏻 Great Video
I used to spend weekends fishing in Lake Moreno. Never knew the PCT went by there.

This video makes me happy 🙂
