I built my budget home theater using this vankyo 1080p v630w budget projector i have a philips hts3306 5.1 blu-ray home theater system an xbox one s gaming console and a Amazon 1080p firestick and a 120inch projector screen i been having this projector for almost two years with really no problems with it iam saving up to buy a cheap 4k projector and a xbox series x sometime i have clean dust off the projector that's not a problem.

@pedrofsilvas I use it every other day as a TV to watch sports n movies with my fire stick hours at a time like 6 hours a day if I calculate still no problem

I use the projector for watching movies and playing games my Xbox one s gaming system i have a budget home theater setup with the projector and an Xbox one s and a rca soundbar and a 120 inch projector screen and brought a philips hts3306 5.1 bluray home theater system with all speakers just finished setting up the home theater system

Yes I would even tho it's 1080p it still looks better on 4k ...I believe it's probably because of upscaling

Using a 4K source on a 1080P projector does seem to give a little better image. I don’t have any data to actually back this up just my opinion using this projected with my Sony 4K player for physical media and Xbox One X for streaming. Just a personal opinion. Also even with only 290 Ansilumans as long as you have a dark room this puts out plenty of brightness. If you have a screen gain above 1.0 it helps with the brightness, although will take away some of the dark levels. My best advice with a budget projector like this one. Set it up and play around with the settings to dial in the image that is best for you. When you don’t have the money for a higher end 1080P or 4K. This projector is a great option to start out with and then save up over time and upgrade. Your home theater journey will never end(trust me). It’s about the journey not the end.
