If you're looking to upgrade to big screen entertainment you're going to want to watch this video. The home theater projector I'm sharing with you today is probably the best budget projector I've seen so far! This is the Vankyo Performance V630 featuring native 1080P resolution. It has a minimalistic design with a fabric panel on the front. It has 2 HDMI inputs as well as an SD card slot. And on the back there's a headphone port, analog audio video input, 2 USB ports and a legacy VGA port for older computers.
Up on top all the navigation buttons are available which comes in handy, but mostly the mini remote is all that's needed. It runs on 2 AAA batteries which are not included. Additional accessories in the box include the power cable, AV cable, an HDMI cable and screws for a ceiling mount. Just above the lens is a big focus ring and physical keystone adjustment dial. On the bottom, there's 4 holes for a ceiling mount and up on front is an extension leg which helps to adjust lens angle when the projector is on a table.
Once I got V630 in my media room I was immediately impressed with the picture! I was really blown away by how bright the image was on my wall even with daylight in the room! However, in a darkened room, the brightness and colors really look good. I'm using a plain wall but it would even be better if I had a real screen. And even with all the ambient light, the V630 still looks really good. So even if you don't have the ideal environment I think you'll still get a great viewing experience!
One thing about the Vankyo projector is that I think it would've been better if all the ports were on the back so there aren't cables coming out of 2 sides. There's also built-in speakers for times when you don't have an external audio system connected. And it's loud enough to use on its own.
When you first turn on the V630, set up is minimal but here are some of the most important settings to check. The image can be flipped depending on whether this is table or ceiling mounted or projected from the front or rear. The next setting is keystone adjustment which helps align the image if the projector happens to be sitting off angle and in a difficult mounting location. There are the typical horizontal and vertical adjustments but this is the first projector I've seen that has a rotation adjustment as well. With everything dialed in, movie watching should be a very exciting experience with the V630! But connecting a gaming console will really take your gaming to the next level!
If you thought your big TV was great, wait till you play games on your wall! This projector can also be ceiling mounted using any universal ceiling mount. If your room supports ceiling mounting then this is the ideal way to go because it'll free up floor space and you won't have to have cables or furniture in the way. This is definitely the cleanest installation method.
For $250 you can't go wrong with the Vankyo Performance V630 video projector. I think this is a projector you must consider if you're looking for add big screen entertainment in your home! *Yes! We are really happy with my **Bestt.Digital** projector. It is definitely recommended for those who are looking for something very good but affordable.*
That was a really well made video, clear explanations, and I appreciate this greatly.
Awesome projector
Excellent review. Thank you.
You’re welcome! I’m really glad that you enjoyed my projector review!
Thank you very much for the excellent presentation !!
That’s a cool cinema room. How is it that some can some people can make these projectors look so good whilst others make them look mediocre? I wonder if the Vankyo 630 work well in a 3x3m room.
Great review!!
HELLO MR RENDER Q , I LIKE THE SET UP OF HOW YOU USED THE PROJECTOR MOUNT ON A POLE ...CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT KIND OF POLE STAND IT THAT...I HAVE THE MOUNT ALL I NEED IS THE POLE WITH THE LEGS
I can’t get the little foot to unscrew! Aha broke my nails instead - you make it look easy 😅
On mine it was really easy to turn the foot screw. It was already loose when I took it out of the box!
@@TheRenderQ I don’t want to replace it just for this but I might have to! Trying with a coin and it is damaging the plastic and not budging :(
@@TheRenderQ also mine is grey (weird?)and the manual seems to indicate turning it (away from the light) the opposite direction that you are turning it ! I can’t get it to move in either direction
I just got this projector but there is no setting to rotate the screen in my keystone menu like yours, do you have any idea if there was a change to recent models?
I've had this projector for a while, and for some reason I don't have the 'rotate' keystone....strange lol
vankyo v630w vs VANKYO Leisure e530W
Which wins
Mine is missing the keystone rotation features anyone know how to fix it or should I return it
Please compare AUN AKEY6 with VANKYO V630
how do you connect a soundbar to it? is it possible?
thanks
I bought this and a sound bar and I tried the hdmi and since the projector isn’t an arc I had to run an optic cable to my projector and the I bought a hdmi audio extractor and hooked up the optic to the extractor then from the extractor I ran a short hdmi to the projector. Then you can plug in stuff like your games to the hdmi on the extractor. Hope this helps
Is the. V630 a better projector to buy then the apmen projector you reviewed? I want to buy a budget projector and im trying to decide which one to choose between the two
Yes! I would definitely say that the Vankyo V630 is better than the Apeman projector. While the Apeman is good I was amazed at the brightness of the V630. The fan on the V630 is slightly louder but you will soon ignore it after you start watching content. If you have an audio system you won’t even hear it. The V630 is also a tiny bit cheaper in price. I would recommend the V630 over the Apeman. Hope this helps!
What kinda tripod you are using, great video BTW
Great video! How the heck did you mount to the light stand/video head?
I attached the ceiling mount to a block of wood. Then screwed in the quick release camera plate to the other side of the wood block. Then the whole assembly just slips into my tripod head. I had an extra tripod head lying around and just screwed it to the top of the stand. Some stands come with 1/4” or 3/8” screw post on top. Other stands have flat posts with no screw on top. What I used was a light stand with 3/8” male to a tripod head with 3/8” female. Hope this helps!
@@TheRenderQ GENIUS!!! Thank you!
How is this one vs the v600. Does the image have more depth??
What about latency for gaming? Frame rate ? Image ghosting ?
Is there a way to fix 2-3 black horizontal lines towards the top of projected screen from V630? Anyone faced similar issue
hello, for the V630 model at a distance of 3 meters how many inches does it project?
How did you rotate the screen for ceiling mount?
In the projector menu there are controls to flip the image in different ways depending on where you’re mounting it. Hope this helps!
TheRenderQ thanks!
Have u updated the software on it?
Ainda funciona ??
