Subscribed! I have watched several of your reviews and am convinced this will meet my simple needs. (BTW, I like your reviews). I just ordered the V630W for my basement for $143. I'll plug in my Roku stick and call it good. I'm using a simple Jellyfin media server setup for home so I will be streaming to the projector. I don't "game" so I'm sure it will be fine.

By the way, The V630W is working great for me. Sure, I wish the image edges were a little sharper but I can't complain for the price. Final price for the V630W was $154.77 , the Roku 4k Streaming Stick was $50 at Target , the pulldown screen was 1/2 price for $35 off FB Marketplace and the ceiling mount was $20 on eBay. A 100" experience for under $300 . I have a old soundbar with a subwoofer as the main audio. I also split the audio to a small 50w PA I had lying around. It fills the basement theatre just fine.

Thanks for the review. I appreciate your time. Just to make sure I understand - the wifi just lets you mirror your phone or iPad, it doesn't let you stream directly? If you need a roku stick to use Netflix or Prime, is there any reason to pay more for the wifi version? Thanks.

For what it's worth, I hooked up a Classic Sega and did not experience any input lag.

Do you happen to know if this would be able to project from an iPad for a wall mural?
I'd have to test it again but this does have screen casting but it usually isn't as easy to set up as just using an HDMI cable between a device (either adapter to iPad or hooked up to MacBook, etc). You can also just put the image on a USB stick and that would probably be easier too!
Are you able to mount this in the corner of a room and have it project clearly on the wall or does it have to be mounted directly in front of the wall
Hey for an angle like that from the corner of a room, it's likely too extreme to get a good picture. Ideally you would still want this lined up as straight on as possible and then fine-tune with the controls.
I have this projector and it is literally amazing i have a 190" screen and lumans are not an issue at all with properly placed screen to windows or lighting the screen does slightly wash out but not bad now I do suggest changing the colors in the menu and do a custom setup picture wise the picture is better then some HD tvs I have seen I have also projected this upto 250" and had no issues with the picture quality so I am sure it would easily do 300" gaming is fine as long as your not a hard-core gamer such as like C.O.D where a hundredth of a second matters but 90% of all playstation games work perfectly fine now the bad things I don't like about it is CLEANING omg it is a pain in the butt but doable the sound that the projector puts out from the speakers is fine but let's face it ain't no surround sound now as for the fan noise it ain't bad at all compared to some projectors now the only thing I wish this had for options would be something most projectors does not have is optional short or long throw lenses for those whom don't have the room to spare but still wants a gigantic screen but let's face it to big of a screen and sitting up close is not for most people but would still be a nice option

Yeah the further away you set it up, the larger the screen.

I have my fire stick hooked up but half of anything I play on Netflix or prime video or anything it plays the picture but the sound won’t play. Idk what I’m doing wrong
Turn off firestick Dolby sound if it's on, the projector doesn't support Dolby Atmos

Hey I don't believe this projector supports Dolby Atmos so I'd go through the Xbox if you can instead!

i know this is a old video but how many feet is the projector from the screen?
I usually have it about 9 or 9.5 ft away for a 100" projection!
I have 32gb USB, formatted it to FAT 32; put two MP4 videos on USB; one is 89.1 mb the other 12.1 mb. When I set it to USB, I get movies, music, photos, text. I set it to movies nothing happens when I click on it, I get no choice of which file to play. I tried another USB stick with music on, the same thing happens when I click on music. I put in my Roku stick that worked great. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be much appreciated!!
@Geezer's Studio Presents > I put the USB stick in another product still didn't work; the stick got real hot; got a new USB 332gb, that worked. The first USB stick had to be bad. Like they say, just because it's new doesn't mean it will work, LOL!!!!!!!!! I really 'appreciate' you taking the time to respond, "Thank You"!

Do not buy this do not buy Any VANKYO projectors all have a very dark image at any setting very hard on your eyes to try and watch them.
Doesn't matter the settings it doesn't matter the room is black and dark these projectors are junk....I know I was stupid enough to buy four of them hoping each time to get a higher quality and get a better picture.

Correct, for this one you would need to hook up a BT transmitter to make it Bluetooth.

Just using it for camping
I'd just try this one first or a comparable Amazon model. You can always return it if you don't like it but it should be fine. I'd just recommend hooking up something to it by HMDI if you can avoid streaming wirelessly, it's much easier. Hooking up a speaker by aux cable will be perfect too!
How do you use the sound on the projector,?
You can use the manual buttons or remote to control the on-board speakers. Or you can use a Bluetooth transmitter to send the audio to speakers if you buy one like this: ruclips.net/video/fLAu0WktOrU/видео.html
Does it have 4k support thru the hdmi?
The projector will take 4k source but downgrade it to 1080p

I had it about 9 ft away (2.74 m) here and it's 100" diagonal.

yeah it will, you just need to bring it back a bit further from the screen then

I have this vankyo v630w projector iam using it with my xbox one s and a Amazon 1080p firestick and a vizo sound bar and 120inch screen and a philips blu-ray 5.1 home theater system the projector is great not having any problems with it been using the projector for almost two years now wish vankyo made 4k projectors i play games on my xbox using the projector it ok but playing muiti player games it a little lag but it ok

How far does the projector have to be away from the screen? Can I throw it 15 ft across my pool? Will it work with a Bose speaker?
So you could just use an AUX cable (or Bluetooth transmitter) to hook up to your Bose. You'd just use the audio input (headphone icon) to hook up wired. It should work fine across the pool. Usually about 10 ft away gives around 100" diagonal picture so 15 ft should just give you a bigger screen (maybe not quite as bright, but shouldn't be an issue in the evening).

Thanks for the review. My question is on the quality of the vankyo proj. I'm getting mixed reports and need some confidence that they won't breakdown or have image issues after several months. P.s just subscribed as well.
I've had my Vankyo V600 for 2 years and it still works fine. Thinking about upgrading to this because of the upgrades
I haven't had any problems with Vankyo personally. I know a lot of these companies get similar models from a manufacturer and then brand them under their own brand but I think they're worth the cost and they seem to mostly hold up. I haven't had a budget projector die on me yet actually. If I have any problems, it's something like a pixel or blurriness but it's there from the start usually and you'd be able to return it!
This company must be given those projectors away for free for a good review.
I've purchased four of them and I assure you they all are garbage.
Go with Epson BenQ or Sony get a brand-name projectors save yourself a lot of worry and at the end a lot of money don't be like me out $800.
They lie about the specs just to sell them.
The picture on all of them at any setting at my house on my hundred and 80 inch screen were all very very dark out the box new!!!

This projector gets the job done pretty well. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxS9P8zTOcmQg-hH0QeUi3dspOLyYgQ6dH Bear in mind it's a mini projector but all things considered the picture quality is pretty good. The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.

You need to have the space you need to have at least 20-25 feet to get a 200 inch display unless you have a short throw.

530W has a contrast ratio 10000:1 and V630W has only 5000:1, so.... what is the newest model from Vankyo, does anyone knows?
V630W has 10000:1 (V630 has 5000:1)

Anyway, meanwhile i bought 530W because i heard it has high performances and also makes less noise but i am not so happy because the cooler is still very loud for my expectations...

I haven't seen many good projectors under $200 for native 1080p myself. They're definitely all for pretty much night time use but I don't think they're a bad deal by any means.
The Samsung Freestyle is not a good projector either and it's way more expensive so I don't know what you're on about.
Hello why wont you provide a comment on the longevity of these projectors that i posted 4 days ago??? Not answering these questions just demonstrates that these projectors fail very quickly and these reviews cant be trusted.
Probably because I have a full-time job and had 25 comments in the past week lol. No, I don't work for the company and my lack of response in 4 days does not represent the projector performance or life span (good OR bad). I have tested multiple Vankyo projectors and other budget projectors in the past and never have had any issues ever pop up later. Usually if anything there's a problem from the start if there is one. They're pretty much all LCD so there's no bulb replacement and they're usually rated for 50,000 hrs now-a-days so the bulb should last longer than the projector/it will become obsolete before the bulb dies. In the budget space for about $200 I'd definitely recommend this projector to anyone looking for a native 1080p one that doesn't have $500 to spend.

@@CandidTechTV 25 comments in a week is not a lot. Some youtubers get hundreds of comments a day and respond pretty quickly while working full time to. Not a crack at you just was saying what I've seen
Most people getting hundreds of comments a day don't respond immediately or have a team that does that. Doesn't change my opinion that demanding a stranger on the internet get back to you immediately or else you question their integrity is a bit ridiculous. This isn't my only channel either and doesn't factor in the hundreds of emails I get and people asking for tech support.
