Thank you Dr. Minier. For many years I've tried to live simply, appreciate and be grateful for the smallest gifts of my life. Authors such as Thoreau and Frankl and topics like simplicity, solitude and hermits have been a staple of my adult life. Never before have I learned about eastern philosophies. Although many aspects of western and eastern philosophical aspects seem to overlap, I'm finding the eastern approach has a purity that rings true to my soul. Thank you for sharing your insights on this subject. I look forward to more videos in the future.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I agree, some areas do overlap and it's a great time we live in when we can follow our curiosities wherever they may lead us.

Seems like there’s significant overlap with stoic philosophy

I agree. I think a big connecting point is the understanding of the importance of "staying in the moment."
