- My review of the Hyundai weed ripper, initial thoughts are it's a great bit if kit for removing moss and weeds from hard surfaces. I will do another review after a few months of use.
Thanks to Hyundai for reaching out and asking me to do this review.
As usual thanks for watching.
Check out the weed ripper here....... hyundaipowereq...
You're looking good brother. You seem and look a lot less stressed, your skin looks healthier, and all around better. All the best to you! Glad you seem a lot happier - the energy definitely exudes!
Thanks 🙏 yea feeling good, if a little tired 😅, lately and all's well. Cheers for that
For them type of areas it's a big improvement and cost effective. No need for costly power washing. Great review mate 👍
Thanks mate and yes did make a difference with little effort. Time will tell how it gets on but done ok so far. Hope you, Mike and the family are well. Have a good weekend 🍻
I was going to ask about the Stihl comment but noticed the number of subscribers. So, I went back a year ago and found your episode where you hit 100. Now you are almost at 4,000 subscribers. A star is born! Congratulations on your success. Oh, and I will be looking for the return of the Christmas sweater!
Thanks, just been enjoying doing the videos and it's done ok👍 What was the Stihl comment?
Looks an awesome bit of kit my brother gets free stuff from Hyundai aswell for his car channel
But this looks great
Have a nice weekend Nathan awesome review mate
Cheers 👍 have a good one yourself 🍻
The brother in law has something similar and he reckons it’s good for his needs, has been reliable, but only time will tell - 1 year in is looking good 👍👍
Sounds like it's similar to what I'd use this for, occasionally rather than day in day out. Cheers for watching 👍
Another bit of kit on the Christmas list.
Top review
Thanks 👍 used it on a couple of jobs since and has done well. Cheers
Quite fancy one of those. Most winters I get asked to clear some paths and pavements, but never enough to warrant buying one. But at that price, I’m tempted. I spent £300 odd on a sweeping attachment for my Echo multi tool and it’s absolutely crap.
But be worth it, yea I've got the Stihl attachment, doesn't do much. Cheers 👍
Nice one Nathan Handy bit of kit Have a good weekend 🍻🍻 Thanks again
Cheers, yea did a good job there. Have a good one yourself 👍🍻
“We Love Nathan” do I get a discount? 😂 nice vid mate, and good tool for the money! 🤩
🤣 cheers mate. It's get you beers at groundsfest 👍
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Im considering buying one. Can you recommend a decent sweeper to clean up the debris which this machine leaves behind?
I just use a backpack blower, brush and shovel 👍
"I should have recognised 10inches"😂 I know the feeling mate hard dragging it around all day. The Hyundai looks handy never used their gear👊
I knew you'd get that one, most of my jokes don't get picked up on🤔🤣
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd I throw in the odd one liner on my channel too🤣 some fall on deaf ears👊
@@mr.tidygarden me probably 😅

Looks a brilliant machine for doing tedious back breaking work made easy! I have a Hyundai 56cc chainsaw and love it reliable easy starting and punches well above it's weight compared to other brands that are more expensive than Hyundai she just chews through timber like it's butter!
Sounds like a good investment you've made there. Cheers for watching 👍
I used a wilderman one the other day steel brush approx. 900mm wide, by Christ it took some hanging on to & I'm 14 stone. I wouldn't put a pipsqueak on it. Cost £78.00 for day, without fuel. Cleaning block paving.
Sounds like a good bit of kit👍
Great video Natgan, Any update on your adapter for the road sweeper brush heads? Could be a game changer if it could be done👍👍
Cheers, I haven't had chance yet but definitely going to have a look over winter. Will post something up when I do, the brushes on this have lasted well tho on its limited use so far. Thanks for watching 👍
Hyundai gear is actually pretty good. It's not top tier but it would be good for someone starting out
That's their price point I think and yes, perfect for starting out. Hopefully will get a good bit of use from this. Thanks for watching 👍
I must say I don't use Hyundai, but my cousin used to work in the hyundai distribution hub out Pembroke way, and said they used to shift a fair bit of gear, so must be popular
Yea, I'm guessing they sell a fair bit. All sorts on their site. Cheers for watching 👍
Did you mention a giveaway? We love Nathan. 😀
Even that won't change my mind to do a giveaway 🤣 keeping this one. Good try tho👍 cheers

I wonder if the brush sweeper attachment on a combi unit would be just as effective?
@@peacebeuntoyou8934the brushes on combi units are meant to he hard work to use and only good on loose debris like moss etc , that's what I'm told anyway.
@@PKGardenService
I wonder if it could be used as a back scratcher, or to ward off intruders and cold-callers?
@@peacebeuntoyou8934 😆😆😆😆
Everyone loves a freebie 👍👏👏👏 they need to make a compact size model
They do👍 something small and battery is no doubt made by someone
Hi Nathan, looks a good machine. Wonder how much it is to replace the bristles, bushels, brushes 😯 great video 👍
Think they're around £90. Mine have lasted well and when they wear will replace or look at a road sweeper head attachment modification 😬👍
got one not bad, but the brushes cost nearly £100 to replace if you can find them for a £400 pound machine its a bit steep. makes light work of the moss, good vid
Cheers for watching 👍 how long have you had yours? I did see the cost, already got in my head an adapter plate for it to fit the road sweeper brushes 🤞
had it about year, not used it loads as it takes up too much room in van leave it at regular job with a big drive that gets a lot of weeds and moss, leaves. saves time striming the weeds out. sometimes vacume up all the mess or blast it away with blower @@LewisgardenservicesLtd
Nice review, ive been looking at the westermans but really cant justify the price of it when it'll only get used every so often
Cheers mate, yea exactly the same for me. Have been going to get something then deciding no for ages. Will see how this goes🤞
I have the Westermann and it’s brilliant, if a little expensive - it removes moss from a tarmac driveway on a rental property I have and from paving blocks at my own house effortlessly.
Hyundai gear is usually ok. I have a chipper and two pressure washers. The pressure washers are both spot on. I have a Westermann Honda Moss brush but i did look at buying the machine that you are using.
That's good to hear. How are you getting on with the westermann? I nearly pulled the trigger on one a few times last year. Thanks for watching 👍
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd The westerman is ok. Very good for moving debris and loose moss. I do not think anything will move moss perfectly out of the pores of the Tarmac. Its a good machine and i do get to use it quite a bit.
@@darrenupton5500 glad it's working out for you and yes, mechanical brush and spray on tarmac and the finish is so uneven. Cheers
Seems like it's quite a time consuming job, might it be quicker (and maybe easier?) to spray with moss killer and come back in a week to easily scrape the dead moss up?
It's still a pain dead unfortunately 🙄👍
A fair bit done for just an hour. Got to be worth a buy for you.
It does bash it out👌 will be using this for a while and will see how it goes. Cheers for watching 👍
Assuming you’ve had more use with the machine is it worth investing and what’s it like getting replacement brushes
Atb
I've used it in a rough old patio to clear weeds before power washing and it was great, also on 3 carparks of small to medium size to remove moss from curb lines and again left a tidy job. Brushes hardly worn and starts easy, ok for occasionally use or if just starting up.
Did you catch your T-Shirt in the Bristles or are you just crap at Ironing??? LOL😀😀
Who's got time for ironing work tops 🤣 Saturday morning is clean t.shirt day anyway 😅
7 months on how is the Hyundai weed ripper? I’ve got a weedgo2 on stihl kombi but it rotates way too fast and eats brushes. I’m looking at getting one of these as I can’t justify a Nimos mosquito unless overton would like to loan me one 🤔
It's not used daily but occasionally and has given me no issues, brushes have worn maybe an inch now, would have definitely paid for itself on what I have used it for. I'd look to upgrade if it became a regular tool but perfect for me for it use. Hope you get as good service from one if you do invest in one. 👍 Cheers
thanks Nathan. I’m only looking to use it 3 or 4 times a month so not heavy use.
Would you recommend it for just around the garden. Have a good bit of tar mac but Moss drives me mad
It would work on that, biological washing powder sprinkled over the moss is what a lot of homeowners use to kill the moss then it brushes off with a stiff brush
to angle smaller wheel on one side maybe
not sure on this as them brushes will soon wear out on them abrasive surfaces so it will mean constantly buying new ones
I would just jetwash and move on - a lot easier
They have worn slightly but the steel in them keeps them in fairly good condition. Definitely jetwash a patio and go but moss filled commercial block paving and tarmac carparks with moss along curves etc I definitely wouldn't want to washing all that as part of a maintenance schedule. Thanks for watching 👍
Yes I use an 18 inch chainsaw
How's it going for you? When looking into this I saw a few people mention the chainsaw was pretty good. Thanks for watching 👍
Nathan ❤️
👍
Its better then what ud pay for the german brands better brushs and its a winner soon we wont be allowed to spray
Mechanical removal where possible is a good thing I guess. Cheers 👍
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd well the sprays are sht 300 euro for 20ltr round up over here 7 weeks weeds are coming up where u sprayed off
@@noelcahill6707 glyphosate went silly prices recently, paying £120 20ltr at the moment.
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd 120 so were double the price here time to buy up north i think iv started mixing to get longer i put pistol in with it
would it be easier with a motor drive?
Could be, don't think any are tho. Cheers
The only issue I have found with Hyundai power gear is that the engine is an absolute nightmare to get started! I have had: the leaf blower, the strimmer, and hedge trimmer. All great for the price, but all of them sent back to be replaced by Stihl gear. I had had so many problems with Hyundai which I think is reflected in the price difference. You're absolutely knackered before the job starts just trying to get the bloody tool running.
My pet hate is pull starting a machine 100 times before it fires up. After 5 pulls it's easy start or in the canal unfortunately 😅 cheers 👍

Spread the word 🤣❤️
I want one 🤣
I'm keeping this one🤣 thanks for watching 👍
Wat about price
Give it a Google... maybe £1400
Don't make them any more ,don't know why
Everyone bought one after watching this 😅
