I was waiting for this review. I couldn't believe how much it cost! But, as is clear, it does an amazing job. I can't understand how its mulching blade - singular - does such a brilliant job. You mentioned its sharpness: but is the spin so much faster? However it does it - IT DOES IT! Now the question is, as you say: will this performance last? If it does and you give it a thumbs up, I will certainly buy it (after my rich Aunt dies and leaves me her house!😁). I appreciated the voice overs and your usual creative film making. You are THE MASTER of garden maintenance! Happy Sunday!

Great review Nath, it mulches well by the looks of it. 2k for an 18" mower, you would expect it to be as close to perfect as poss. More manufacturers need to take notes from seasoned pros like yourself and not be stubborn because they think they know better (because Dave in engineering tested it on his home lawn over the weekend 🤣). I'm in the market for a new mulcher as well mate, not sure this ticks the boxes i would need, definitely interested in it though. 👍

Looks like a decent bit of kit, how does it compare with putting a mulch plug in a "normal" mower? A side by side comparison would be interesting to see, I'd assume the normal one would be worse due to the deck and blade being designed primarily to throw grass in the bag. Saying that I use a mulch plug with a normal mower and as long as I'm not cutting too much off the top it works great.

    • @LewisgardenservicesLtd

For two grand for a pedestrian walk behind mower I'd expect perfection! Having to silicone stuff, having to deal with sharp cable ties holding stuff on. Absolutely not acceptable in my book. The handle angle seems a bit sit up and beg and it sounds like a tank.
    ********* BUT. ***********
There is absolutely no denying it does a fantastic job! The lack of cutting under the deck was impressive and the cut it gives seems spot on.

I think it getting one of these mowers /mulchers depends on your type of workload, commercials jobs are'nt usually bothered bagging it up.
Private gardens want more of a nice finish, stripes plus leaving long cuttings just makes the lawn worse if its not cut regularly.
I can see your point about saving money on having to bag,tip runs.
It can also be used to mulch hedge cuttings other stuff that can be blown in.

For me the Grin is a good mulcher but you pointed out the facts i dont like about it. For me the AS motor is better as it has more height adjustments and thinner wheels so less marks on the Grass and feel it handle longer grass better.

I looked at the AS as they both seemed the best but went for the grin. You use the AS I'm guessing? Thanks for watching 👍

@@LewisgardenservicesLtd is used them when I worked with the council now I used a husqvarna mulcher as I can't afford the other two right now. One thing you notice next season is how healthy your grass will look after a view cuts with the grin mower. Quick tip what I do after mulching is I let the cutting dry out then give a quick blow
