I think the Westermann is good at getting 90% of the moss out and makes clean up so much easier as it's all dryish stuff to blow/sweep up. Roof clean looked like it went well. Nice to see Sledge and the Volvo! Hope you had a good catchup.

MY FIRST car was a Volvo 244DL that I purchased from EUROPACAR INTL. British car dealer that worked on bases overseas. You basically put the car on layaway payments, and when you're ready to transfer, the payments are your dowpayment for your loan with interest.

I power wash my property every spring and watching others spray TOWARDS the house and outbuildings sends my OCD into overdrive! And leaving the muddy overspray on other surfaces is maddening. Lol, Great work.

I enjoy your videos and appreciate the education because I had no clue about roof cleaning. I’ve just arranged for a soft wash to our shingle roof due to moss and the black stuff. I just hope our cleaner is as good as you.

I love the roof cleaning and enjoy spotting the replacement tiles that have been colour matched to the muck and no the original tile colour! 😁

Thank you for discussion the type of progression needed in dealing with something like the fragile drive and a lot of moss. Will look forward to more pictures later on. Like that you are helping with work on renewing the farm and that it is turning out it can be renewed. Looked like you had "dry" sludge to work with, which certainly must have been nicer to blow move and clean up. Kevin did a great job on the Sheep Shed. Second Job: That was a major change on the roof color. Interesting tiles. So glad the technology and skills exist to be able to do things as these important roof cleans and your brother's backup on cleanup is certainly vital. That is a pretty driveway you are working on. What a nice change on the roof overall.

It was so satisfying to watch the Westermann remove nearly all that unsightly moss from the drive. I didn’t think anything could beat power-washing, but this comes a very close second. 😊
Westerman tip: set the height on the low side, but not in strong contact with the surface. After chemical treatment with time to work, do sweeps east west then go back over north south. The areas you miss or at different levels will get covered on the second pass. You do excellent work. I hope you are charging what you are worth. The job you’re working on today seem to be a very large one needing three people. Please don’t short yourself. There are not many people who can do the kind of work that you are doing at the caliber that you are doing it at

Reminds me of visiting my sisters house in Louisiana. Everything was green - roofs, walls and concrete driveways from the wet climate. Detergent cleaning and bleaching was an annual event.
I’m always impressed with the huge difference in colors afterward!

3 years ago I sprinkled the moss with cheap washing powder and left the rain to work on it within a few months it was all dead and I swept it up with a stiff broom. It is still clear today.

The roof transformation was amazing.
I did a big moss removal job back in March/April of 22 with a similar machine to this which we hired out, I found it tricky to use like you said as the torque on the brush wanted to pull it away from where I was going but if I forcefully corrected it the brush would slow or stop completely. I came up with a workaround by allowing the torque to do that and walking backwards with it.

Hey Sid, couple of thoughts, hope you don't mind, I've used a Westerman before and found like you it was great on flat but not on bumpy tarmac, we used a wire brush head on a petrol strimmer to tidy up problem areas after using the westerman and it worked great also rather than using a blower to pick up the moss we had a leaf vacuum that worked great, if you have some one working behind you with the vacuum you can see the spots you might need to get over with the westerman, hope this helps, clean on doing a great job
I’ve done exactly that in the past myself Nicole before I bought the westerman which we exchanged with Sid as we were moving out of that property and are now down in the Cotswolds

Your machine is doing well with the moss it is what it is mate ,there’s only one thing you can do ,,old jimmy Aust is do your best under the circumstances
Your window ladder points are way different than ours in the states. Ours come in come in 6ft(1.8m) sections and the point only comes in to half of the width. The company I was working for we wrapped a piece of carpet around the point for cushioning and extra grip.

Sid - lookat getting the strimmer attachment. Kersten do one thats the same principle as the westermann machine but might help for those awkward areas. Might help tidy those sloping and deeper areas that the westermanm fails at getting...
