I could never judge a dog show, they all look perfect to me.
Utility is by far the most interesting bunch!
The Poodles are magnificent - every Dog in the Ring was wonderful- 💕💕
Yes all the dogs were amazing
Poodles Rule!!!♥️♥️♥️🐩
U have to see a standard up close, & personal, !! Poodles are #2 intelligence, after border collie !! They are not groomed ,but coiffed !!!
@@Memow-pk1ng True! I had rescued a miniature poodle. 🐩 His name was Sir Joseph Francis and he lived to be 16 1/2 years old. He was a wonderful dog and I groomed him. I miss him every day.😭
@@terrybardy2848 I feel your pain, my friend. I've loved and lost many a pure breed Poodle myself through the decades too. Hugs... 🐩
Loved the Akita!!
Gorgeous all 3 poodles !!!
The Dalmation was fun to watch.
I love the toy poodle so much
The Kooikerhondje is such a little heart thief -- they are really great dogs. FUN FACT -- I had the very FIRST rescued dog of this breed in the USA. If I ever did get another dog this breed is at the very top of my list!!!
I wanted to adopt a Canaan from our local animal shelter years ago. He was rescued from a refugee camp where he was harmed as a puppy, brought back to our country, only to be given up again by the rescuer family because he showed signs of aggression. I went to the animal shelter and fell in love with him immediately. He was beautiful, with light tan patches and elegant moves, and had an attitude. Since I wasn't too experienced with dogs I didn't get to adopt him. Over the years whenever I see canaans i think of that dog I missed, and it hurts a little.
He caught my eye as soon as he came into the ring. What a good win💖
The Orange /apricot color is not as popular as the blacks, whites, color should not be imp. , but the attitude, & sure is a fancy mover !!
🐩I love them all. But have and love the toy and miniature Poodles the most. Great show this, year. 🐩
That Canaan dog looks nice, but i really tuned in to seethe Boston and the Frenchie. Love watching these shows, wish I could on the TV, not on RUclips
That was my favorite!
I have firestick & can watch on tv ,but can't comment.
Well done Waffle ❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful Irish Terrier. I love this beautiful breed of dog.
I love the Shiba Inu.
That Chow Was Absolutely Gorgeous, Dunno How The Poodle Got It Over The Chow Or Dalmatian
Poodles have "attitude"
The toy poodle too perfect to be true 👍🥰
Almost more fur than actual dog! (I love apricot poodles.)
Dig the Shar Pei handler's look. 8-]
Chow Chows remind me of little bears!
que pena el shiba, cómo me gusta ver a shun you kensha en el crufts!!!
Considering this is Crufts.. the commentator knew relatively little about the American Akita/Akita Inu and Shiba Inu. Lots of incorrect information.
Only American Akita , in US, is. AKC recognized to show in the working group
Shiba Inu is in non sporting.
The commentator is a judge himself. He has to know every breed I imagine it’s hard to remember exactly what every dog does and where it comes from. Personally I’d be trying to remember how to pronounce the Mexican Hairless Dog the entire time 😂
@@Memow-pk1ng Crufts is in the UK. It’s not AKC. The UK KC and AKC have a lot of differences in both breed standards and groups altogether.
@@gcollz_ I know, I was saying u can't show Ukc registered breeds in US , if AKC does not recognize.
The dog does not have to be AKC. registered, as long as the breed is.. as many come to Westminster from many different countries.
This would be non - sporting in U S. Akita is in working
Scnauzers in terrier
Well crufts is in the uk so doesn’t matter what america thinks this group is.
@@danielledewitt1 it's screwed up , I take utility be like US working, bulldogs, Chows, Frenchies .. are in non Sporting ..Toy poodle belongs in TOY..
@@Memow-pk1ng America have it totally wrong.
That Japanese spitz is majestic!
Wow its my first time seeing this breed 3:37 and its a love at first sight that swaying long hairs on the tail are just beautiful💕 i wish i had one🥺
Koikerhondjie. Not aure on spelling.
French Bulldogs were Trendy…so are Mini Dachshunds - the most popular Breed of Dog in Australia is the backyard bred & Puppy Farmed Cavoodle (Poodle X Cavalier). They cost between $3,000 to $8,000 in Australia. There are a lot of stupid people living in Australia paying thousands of $$$$ for a X Breed. The pathetic Breeders are making Tax Free money….as long as ignorant humans keep buying Oodle X Breed Dogs
Insane prices! 😮
@@kattyman6577 very true - humans making money from helpless Dogs - forced Matings, Females bred every time they are in Season - Males Dogs deliberately excited to Mate - Vet Care non existent…. we live in a sick, cruel society & we exploit Animals for $$$$$
People don’t care they just want a cute Puppy 😡😡😡😡
Oh how I agree with you. While ordinary folk are paying inflated prices for ‘trendy’ dogs there will be puppy farms popping up all over the place making shedloads of money.
Same here in U. S. Started w/ labs, & golden retrievers, labra doodles, golden. Now EVERY BREED has been doodled .!!
& so many thosemixed mutts are ending in shelters, bc of behavior problems, & were not aware of the care, groom ing.
I agree same here in South Africa labradoodles and goldendoodles it is insane
woof woof
Loved the bulldog
Bulldogs are so deformed - can’t breathe - hot spots - their body has been rearranged & modified. They do not live a long time - cruel breeding a Dog Breed that has ongoing major Health Problems !!!
My bulldog was 12 when he passed outlived my brother's Labrador by 2 yrs. Most people making false comments about bullbreeds no f#@£ all !!!
@@johnconnor3707 Having spoken with a number of Vets over the years….not one has praised the long suffering, gasping, panting, severely Deformed Bulldog….they pity them the same as I do !!!
I agree, my bulldog lived to almost 10 years old she was very fit. She would enjoy doing agility, I will always love the bulldog. My bulldog loves her walks and enjoys learning tricks, she also enjoys agility. She is a very happy dog.
@@bondjames7007 so let me guess this right you dont own a bulldog but when you go to the vets you talk about bulldogs to numerous vets but not about your own dog (breed). keep reading rubbish online my dogs dont need pity only 2 good walks a day and love
Why do ppl keep buying thefrenchie? :(
There is always a trendy dog , once were collies, cockers, dalm. ,pits,.. & now Frenchies are used to create those micro, & pocket bullies, crossed w/ pitbulls to get small size
Frenchies were everywhere - has anyone read these Dogs can’t mate normally & breathing problems (breed should be banned). The breed has now been overtaken by the Cavoodles (Pupoy Farm & backyard Breeders). Humans are beyond stupid buying trendy Dog Breeds…Dogs are more intelligent than most human….
@@bondjames7007 I wouldnt want to have a pug Or a frenchie because they just dont function normally - literally every single one I meet is gasping for air and upon speaking to the owner like 90% of them have allergies, skin issues and GI issues. Here we literally purposefully create dogs that are destined to suffer their whole life.
Yes, I have cavaliers and there are significant problems in the breed too but the standard itself isnt the problem - the problem is that some breeders find it Ok to breed dogs whose parents were diagnosed with heart problems at the age of 5! Or those who breed dogs with syringomyelia. If youre careful and pick a good puppy then you have a relatively normal dog - it has normal legs, nose, skin and can do doggy things, even complete in agility (my Alya’s bro is a Small breed agility champion).
@@bondjames7007 indeed ,a lot of people spend a lot of money for mix breed such as cavapoo etc.
@@septianwidinugraha4632 stupid people throw their money at backyard breeders & puppy farms they dont care where the Puppy comes from they just want a puppy.
❤YAY for the SHAR PEI who made the short list! TIME- 51:13. Check her out! She’s a pretty girl 🐕!
Why aren’t these small breeds (frenchie
, toy poodle and shih tzu) in the toy group?
Why should they be?
@@danielledewitt1 they are small dogs, especially the poodle and shih tzu. The frenchie is the largest of the three and it’s no more 20# or so. Heck, the poodle is even called ‘toy’.
@@Sdravan So? They are in the utility group. Don’t like it then take it up with uk keenel club and crufts. I doubt they will change it just for you.
@@danielledewitt1 No, I’ll just stay with AKC, as they have toy poodles and shih tzus in the right group.
@@Sdravan Technically AKC have them in the wrong group.
YAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!! the toy poodle wins it! my baby Sophie Alofie will be proud! and yes! the miniature poodle takes 4th! im the happiest werewolf in the whole entire galaxy and also my beloved Sapphire and Murphy as well! 🤩😛🥰😇🐩
I think the name of the Tibetan Spaniel was wrong, it should be Ch Souska I Need Your Love.
what exaggeration was removed from the bulldog? much healthier? hogwash!
Stop picking on the bull breeds. Every pedigree has inherited problems. Notice nobody ever mention Labrador hip problems because all the toffs have them. TV never show working class people's dogs English bull terrier, boxer, bullies etc... And no I don't breed bulldogs before you ask!
@@johnconnor3707 Yes but a labrador can breathe
@@GriffinWulf my 2 bulldogs walk twice aday half an hour in the morning and one hour at night. And weekends even longer. If they couldnt breath they would have died by now. Not all bulldogs have problems mine are pets not show dogs but are full pedigree oh i by the way on our walks we see so many fat labradors who probably couldnt walk half the distance of my dogs. can i ask do you even own a dog
@@johnconnor3707 Yes, that's how statistics work. There are many Bulldogs who are active and live past 10 but when the data says the median lifespan is ~6 this means too many dogs are unhealthy and dying too young. One healthy individual does not speak for the entire breed trend.
@@johnconnor3707 And yes I do own a dog, he is moderate and his parents were rigorously health tested for almost everything under the sun.
🍀🐶Boston ❤Terrier💋📼👏
they put so many poodles in this group to end up choosing them as the winner🙄🤦🏻♀️ they always choose the same breed is to give another the opportunity the win😪 chow chow and dalmatian deserved to win
The reason there are three different sizes of poodle in the breed is because they are judged separately to eachother. They don't just put three in for the hell of it.
@@lydiawilliams7220 Well said. 🐩
The toy poodle is in toy grp , in U. S. Other 2 in non - sporting
@@lydiawilliams7220 kinda like in U. S, there are 3 cocker spaniels, Ascob, parti, black, are judged by same standard
Some of these dogs have no utility.
- anything that looks like it's been through a blow dry.
- Any variety of bulldog.
- anything with miniature or toy in the name
They warm my heart
@@laureeeent No doubt, but they're pretty much useless for what they were originally intended.
If you brought a dog to crufts that wasn't groomed properly, you wouldn't win anything.
@@justnd0257 My point was that most of these so called utility breeds are only useful as floor mops.
@@afishynado6812 you are clueless
This poodle hairstyle is the ugliest thing you can do to this dogs! Simply undignified for the animals!!
That haircut has a purpose for the Standard to protect the joints and organs from freezing waters. It wouldn't be that poofy but yeah.
22:27 "Oriental expression in the eyes, almond-shaped eyes" smh the only acceptable thing to call "oriental" in 2022 is a rug. This dude referred to the Japanese Chin in the toy group as an "Oriental aristocrat," and the lady added that the dog has a "squint." We get it, they're Asian breeds. Also, it seems like the lady's always asking the guy to validate what she's saying by adding, "Aren't they, Frank?" "Isn't it, Frank?" "Doesn't it, Frank?" to almost every sentence. You'd think professional emcees narrating an international dog show would be more cautious about using racially insensitive adjectives, as well as being more aware of verbal tics.
He also referred to the almond shaped eye of the standard poodle. And the Japanese chin does happen to have a squint.
@@pygiana16 I'm clearly taking issue with the term "oriental," and not "almond." I'm sure that you will agree that the term is horribly Eurocentric and outdated? Also, if you Google "Japanese Chin Squint," the very few results you'll see will mention that the "Japanese Chin's 'look of astonishment' is wrongly called 'squint'." Clint Eastwood has a squint. The Japanese Chin does not.
You are stupid, the are dog breeders/show'ers asked to commentate and nothing they have said is wrong.
The poodles are disgusting
Another goddam poodle win - gross!!!!! Makes me sick.
Clearly you have no idea about the poodle breed. Ignorance is gross.
Don't hate the poodle(s) bc of their hair dos!! Complain to the show breeders, that promote the exaggerated look !
Cut the hair off, & under is a fine, intelligent dog !!
The chow is a bit unbalanced looking too, w/ all that hair !!
@@Memow-pk1ng another person who knows nothing about poodles.
Judge quite partial to certain breeds. Not professional at all!!!
It's all politics at the end of the day. Certain breeds never win best of group let alone best in show. I just love dogs and love watching all the different breeds. As a competition though I'd say they already know who's going to win best in show. Just my opinion from being at other shows and been told by certain people who was the winner before the show had even begun.
@@bordercollie1140 all poodles in the breed made it to the last eight. that's not acceptable. and it borders on disrespect for other breeds. the guy is obviously shortsighted when it comes to other breeds and their beauty and strength and character. idiot!!!
@@bordercollie1140 that's true also at Westminster, political, but is judges opinion , on the day, so if a dog not showing well , can't be put up
@@bordercollie1140 also judges not familiar w/ rarer breeds, standards, so put up a safe bet , like poodles
@@Memow-pk1ng Take a Border Terrier for example, in all the shows I've been to or watched on T.V. I've personally never seen one win best of group and certainly not b.i.s. So has there never been one Border who meets the breed standard exceptionally close? ( no dog is perfect) . I think the Judges lack the guts to pick outside the box. But on a different note, not winning has kept the Border Terrier an extremely healthy breed because of not winning they never become flavour of the month hence stopping inbreeding and so on. I own a Border and they are the most wonderful breed you can imagine. In England they are the most owned and bred breed by Veterinarians because of their extremely low maintenance, excellent health and such wonderful temperament. A Hungarian Vizsla won Crufts in appr. 2010 and it has had a lot of negative consequences for the breeds general health. Sorry for rambling lol, but I'm extremely passionate about dogs in general.
