i had a vectrex.. i bought this over an atari 2600 but i've never heard of this game. a few of my favorites were scramble, blitz, heads up, star trek, --
I don't blame Mark; the amount of flicker in this game looks ridiculous. I'd sure love to own a Vectrex, but since the only Vectrex console on Ebay that are friggin' working cost several hundred dollars, I don't have one.
I had a vectrex back in the early 1980's.i always wanted this game and know I'm glad I never did. mine storm, web wars, scramble they were the best. the worst was clean sweep and football and soccer. cosmic chasm is also good.
I don't have this one (have most of them), could play it on the multicart but generally avoid that with games I don't have. Interesting but I suppose they couldn't get it right every time :)
Boy, falling into a pit filled with tons of Game.Coms must be a horrible fate. Compared to said fate, this game sure is still more fun, even though the Vectrex still has better games. Too bad this thing is so damn expensive, always found it interesting for using vector graphics over pixels.
The game itself isn't flickering. The camera and monitor are not in sync with each other. Image looks fine in person. A lot of arcade games with a raster monitor may appear to have a "wave" in them. Games with vector displays have a flicker.
SDPliskenisalive I think the game does have flicker as it seems to dissapear by object rather than screen portion, but the camera is maybe accentuating that. Is it not a CRT issue?
"You have a Vectrex, don't you?"
For whatever reason, I found this absolutely hilarious.
We all want a Vectrex at the end of the day
Lol
The game has a great depth and atmosphere. It is a bit cryptic, but I liked it a lot.
The Vectrex is king of game consoles!
"You have a Vectrex don't you?" What sort of question is this. Everyone who watches this show has at least two.
Is it just me, or would mark be great at narrating ANYBODY'S life?
NOT THE PIT OF 10000 GAME.COMS! OH THE HUMANITY!!!
A fate worse than death.
1000 not 10000
Thanks for bringing this one over to RUclips as well. Vextrex videos belong together heh.
That flicker and the sound effects... Hmm, you sure that's not in fact a mind control device?

Truxton on the Vectrex? Now that would be awesome :)
Love the Show. Just picked up a CGR shirt from you off Ebay, seemed the easiest way to show my support.
I can't help but think of Unknown from Pokemon S/G/C when I hear these sound effects

Vectrex looks like an old sonar machine.

Pit of a thousand game.coms? I didn't know they made that many.
I don't know why, but all My fav Video you make are The before NES era (Vectrex and atari....)
Deja Vu? Didnt we already see this somewhere on your channel?
VECTREX!!

is the flickering actually the vectrex or just what happens when it is recorded.
'Pit of 1000 Game.coms' - brilliant line made me laugh out loud whilst on the bus - oops.
Yayyer more Vectrex
So if it's Red October and Blue November, what color is December?
What music is at 0:34
Don't know but he plays that stupid tune a lot on his videos

they should have made battlezone on that thing
found a vectrex once, they didn't sell it.

The pit of 1000 game.coms *_*
Yeah this is a re-post.
That game flickers too much

Pause the game. Subs are a solid dot on the sonar. Mines flash. Please read the manual.
RIP HEADPHONE USERS
I'm using headphones actually.
It's not to bad, just sounds a bit repetitive.
I played this back in the day and was disappointed then also.
It's like BattleZone underwater, except that it sucks.
"Borrow it from a friend" ^^ Sure....Also: This is one of the 3 Vectrex games never released in Europe so I'll probably never play this one.
brondaa just buy a Vextreme cartridge and simply install any game you want on it.
@@atariandre5014 Hey...haha. Thanks, but my comment is 5 years old. I do have a complete collection at this point. ^^
Lol
Can you review something that isn't a vectrex game?
What do u mean?
Even in 1980 I didn't want a vectrex. And I was a spoiled brat who had intellivision, colecovision, a 5200 and a 2600.
disciple90633 you were just wrong lmao
It looks turrible
Vectrex conference at E3 2014!
