23:54 Tiffany, there is an entire comicbook in that exact style. It is called "Blacksad" and it is one of the best comics ever written and especially drawn.
I know Blacksad 😄 I feel like the style is different from this, but that's just my take!

Omg thank you thank you thank you! Boston brand never gets enough love!!!! The issue of solo by the artist of “its a bird its a plane” has one of the best deadman stories for showing the potential of the character. Thank you all for covering this:)
At first I thought you guys were covering that terrible Deadman mini from Neal Adams a few years ago. Which also had Batman, that would make for a funny episode lol
There’s an issue of Brave & The Bold where Deadman is tricked into attacking Batman and Deadman possesses Robin, steals a cops gun, and shoots at Batman. It’s actually hilarious.

I know Tiffany brought it up at the end, but other than that moment in Airboy, Airboy is a great story. It has a lot more to say than that one moment and it was pretty revolutionary when he had a gay relationship in Starman with that series in the 90s. He was the writer of that entire run. Howard Chaykin wrote something far more offensive with Divided States of Hysteria with that first issue coming out during Pride month. That remains the most transphobic material I’ve ever read. He essentially escaped all criticism compared to James Robinson with Airboy.

I am kinda surprised this is a back issues episode hahaha i tought Sal said they only talk about "relevant" books like for example the Loki back issues (because of the Loki series).

@@brianadkins3880 I have been a follower since the tvlittlehouse era, is just that Sal mentioned that they do back issues of "relevant" comics because well, if there is a new movie of a character, they are gonna make a back issues of that character... hahaha so i was just a little surprised because of Deadman hahaha 😂
@@vicentegeonix There's a couple of exemptions to that rule: Batman and Spider-Man. Usually, they can get away with doing any book about either anytime. Also, they usually do the one book that is in some way relevant to the movie/tv show/whatever and then get on with whatever else is on the schedule.
