That was my reaction when the story first came out like wouldn't it have made more sense to just have all the Ice villains team up to accomplish the same goal or have their individual plans all need aspects only another Ice villain can bring for all of their plans to succeed. That plan could've been something really noble too like creating a place for sick kids to have fun knowing this might be the last time some of them would ever see a snowflake so the superheroes pretend to be defeated like in one of those live action "stunt shows". As a plot twist one of the Ice based heroes joins the villain team as part of the "show" the story concludes with a child dying telling both heroes & villains included how grateful they're for performing this show in their finale moments.

This ice king reminds me of the ice king Aquaman fights during the Johnns era. Also he reminds me of Ice King from Adventure Time. Now I just wanna watch adventure time.

I love how sal spends 5 minutes telling the gang that almost every cold power set based character doesn't make an appearance in this story.
