That small detail about Metropolis criminals using a different vocabulary to avoid Superman hearing them is such a good and smart idea, it proves Bendis still can do stellar stuff. In the same way that Batman Universe does
Elongated Man was a part of Lois’ detective team. A team in which two police officers, Harvey Bullock and Renée Montoya, also collaborated with Deathstroke, a criminal wanted across the world, without any hesitation. Because they thought it would be cool. Then there’s the glaring omission of DETECTIVE Chimp, who rumours say was not in it solely because Alex Maleev did not want to draw him.
TO BE FAIR, I had no idea that the two were different characters until I did the research. Just like how nobody can tell the difference between Barry Allen and Wally West.
Literally laughed out loud when they brought up Jason having a mask and a helmet I just KNEW someone would! It’s not new, he was wearing the domino mask under the biker helmet in Batman: Under The Hood. But the helmet could be remotely detonated by him, so he clearly thought about using his helmet as a weapon, thus needing the domino mask. It makes sense, damn it!
I keep rewatching this episode because I find the show is so comforting that I keep falling asleep listening to it and thus keep forgetting what happens
That actually could have worked. Considering, every other Green Arrow arc is him dealing with secret organizations. If anyone is annoyed of them, it should be him. LOL

...Ted Kord could’ve been leviathan. Now I love Ted and I respect the character, but at least it would’ve made all of this make a little more sense and actually have some weight. Ted a tech genius (cause he is actually smart) and super hero becomes disillusioned with the league and how they operate and seeks to change it. What pushes him over the edge? The framing and defacing of Booster Gold in Heroes in Crisis, rather than everyone trying to actually solve it they rather just find out who to punch.
Technically they did that storyline in the Tales From The Dark Multiverse series, in their Infinite Crisis issue. It definitely does work, and is a really good 'What if' story.
Oh my God yes! It's been genuinely fun seeing the world building of Metropolis and the legacy of Olsen's and Luthor's lines in it earliest days. Plus it's a fun book, we need to smile and laugh more. 😄

Whoa, I don’t how you stretched out a single issue’s worth of content to nearly 2 hours, that’s quite a feat. Let’s be honest issues 1-5 are essentially pointless but for a line or two of dialogue.
Ben's "Batman takes over crime in Gotham to dismantle it from the inside" theory literally happens in War Games, but kinds of fizzles when the proxy he was using gets killed. It's one of the like dozen plot lines in that story (and one of the few clever ideas), and really doesn't get explored as much as you'd like, even if the proxy is a super-bland character with a dumb helmet.

If not potentially better? Heck, where is Detective Chimp???
Also, anyone who has read the comics would know that Lois Lane is not somebody to be underestimated.
I know of this book but I have no idea what it's about. Let's do this!
I remember my friend talked to death about this story and her theory on who Leviathan was
Countdown to Zero Hour of Event Leviathan
Whoa, I don’t how you stretched out a single issue’s worth of content to nearly 2 hours, that’s quite a feat.
Let’s be honest issues 1-5 are essentially pointless but for a line or two of dialogue.
Hearing Sal say my name, and pronounce it correctly was pretty cool
Ben's "Batman takes over crime in Gotham to dismantle it from the inside" theory literally happens in War Games, but kinds of fizzles when the proxy he was using gets killed. It's one of the like dozen plot lines in that story (and one of the few clever ideas), and really doesn't get explored as much as you'd like, even if the proxy is a super-bland character with a dumb helmet.
I was watching this episode, went to go eat something, then cut my finger really bad, had to get stitches, 3 hrs later I do finished the back issues lol
Man I forgot this event existed and still do lol
I love the head canon that Leviathan is just Cayde-6
There is a good story in there...somewhere...needed more time in the oven. Meanwhile I love how Bendis writes Lois as one of DC's greatest detectives.
Can someone explain to me why the elongated man wasn't in this book instead of plastic man?
I like the red domino mask under the red helmet. It seems like something Batman would teach the robins for whenever they where helmets in case the helmet gets damaged or broken
Plus it’s happened enough to Jason to justify the second layer of identity protection
Honestly I think Event Leviathan, name wise, is supposed to be a 'playful reimagining' of Event Horizon
